"Vienna Aluminum, Inc. values all of there customers and stands behind its work. This customer has mis represented the facts in this case. The customer brought a sample screen into our location to have a new one duplicated. The screen was manufactured according to sample size. When the customer came to pick up the screen they also picked up the sample screen. A couple days later the customer called our office about his problem with the screen fitting in the porch opening. As my office manager and I've communicated to the customer if the screen was made incorrectly we would be glad to correct the problem. All we ask is that you bring the sample and new screen to back to us so we may verify that the screen wasn't made to sample size and if you are correct we will make a new one. After further discussion with the customer I find the customer is believes that the screen wasn't made correctly, because it doesn't fit properly in an opening on his porch, which is different issue from the screen not being made correctly. During this conversation the customer stated that we were at fault because we originally made the screens for there builder in May 2013 and they had never fit right, and he demanded that it was our responsibility to correct, because the warranty should flow down to him. At that time I told the customer that I'm taken back by his demands because we only made the screens for the builder we didn't design the porch or install the screens for builder so why are you demanding for us to make corrective action. And secondly, our warranty with the builder for manufacturing the screens was 60 days from the day we delivered them to his job site. During my conversation with the customer he admitted that he wasn't aware of all the facts, but asked if I would come out any way to see if there was any corrective action to address the problem. On Tuesday 2/16/2016 I went out to the property and noted the following to the customer: The screens were numbered to go into specific opening on the porch but not all screens were in the correct opening (I didn't know if they had previously removed the screens and reinstalled or if the builder had done this), installation hardware may help, but do to the design of the screened in porch options are limited but I would need to research solution possibilities. I can't promise I can resolve the initial design challenges nor is it my responsibility to correct free of charge. Jeff Hamilton"
