They took it and cleaned out the beater head, then returned it with the host still disconnected and the vacuum still not vacuuming when used as an upright.

I have a Sharp vacuum, which is no longer made. It just needed a new belt, so I called the 800 number on the vac. They said they no longer carried parts, and gave me two other places to contact. One didn't have it, the other did, for $15 plus $12.95 shipping. Before I made that deal, I checked with several big box stores which also didn't have it. I then thought to called the nearest vacuum repair, Vacuums Unlimited in Chantilly. I reached Paul, who said they had the belt, two for $5, and he would put it on for me at no cost. I was so grateful after all the frustration. Paul was professional and efficient. I especially appreciate that he put the belt on, as I have arthritis and it would have been difficult for me to do it. Although this was not a big deal in the general scheme of things, it made a big difference to me, both in price and ease.

Vacuums Unlimited of Chantilly, VA. installed my new whole house vacuum system in a timely and satisfactory manner initally. I had to call them back within two weeks to repair two of the wall outlets which had become loose. It took a week to get a serviceman in to complete the repairs and only after I made repeated phone calls. A couple of weeks later I had to call them back in again because one of the tubing connections in the basement had come seperated. They rmade the repair again after repeated phone calls. Two weeks ago the power wand and head were not working. I brought the wand to the Vacuums Unlimited Chantilly office and was told that they could not repair the part, and that they did not have the part in stock. They said that they would have to order the part and that it would take about a week. After more than a week passed I contacted the salesman, Chris to check on the status of my order. I could not reach him but did finally get through to another salesman who told me that he could not help me but that he would relay my message to Chris. Chris never returned my phone calls so I sent an email to him with a copy to the owner of the company Bill Anand. I received an email response from Chris informing me that they could not supply me with in warranty parts because they were no longer being reimbursed from Beam. I called again and asked to speak to the owner, and was told that he was not in, but would be in the next day and would return my call; another day passed and no phone call. I sent an email to the owner asking for him to return my call to resolve this isssue and again no response. I contacted Beam who informed me that Vacuums Unlimited was not an authorized dealer and that I would have to go through one of their dealers for the repair. None of the Beam dealers who I tried to contact in the area returned my phone calls.Buyer Beware!
