My family and I recently moved from North Carolina and were looking for a groomer who would love and care for our dogs, Bear and Bruno, as much as our previous groomer did. After reading the reviews from Pretty Paws, I thought it was too good to be true, but, everyone was great with Bear and Bruno - especially Bear. Because Bruno is a Field Spaniel and a little more personable than Bear (Lab mix) - people usually forget about him and that leaves him feeling moody and sad. The staff at Pretty Paws doted as much on Bear as they did on Bruno and according to my hubby, Bear was very charming and wagging his tail!

Pretty Paws also charged us a LOT LESS than the price they quoted over the phone (Bear did not need nearly as much grooming as Bruno). I am happy to say that Bear and Bruno has found a grooming home :-).

I have been going to pretty paws for seven years and david is kind and has this bond with all the animals. they are not crated and he does not make him self so busy so the animals are never stressed or unhappy. leaving bailey I never worry. I have stolen people from petsmart and given them pretty paws card because I believe in david so much. he also volunteer at dog shelters and grooms dog for free. you would be crazy not to try him just once and he is not that expensive. give him a chance you will not been disappointed. if I thought he could clip my horses id take them to him.. karen

I had recommendations from my neighbors. It was very nice, very friendly and very good with the animals. Price is less for a puppy than a dog. I would recommend them but it is only far for me.

David the owner was great; he personally gave Anna her bath, he trimmed her nails, which we're always concerned about since her skin is so thin, and even took a picture of her! We are very happy will be back soon.

This was a very good experience. The owner is a super nice guy. He greets your dog and is very friendly with my dog. They did more trimming than other groomers. She is the prettiest she has been since she was a puppy. She still smells good! Their follow up was very good too. They are the best groomers I have ever used. I give them an A+

We have been looking for a new groomer to take our 2 small dogs to. We found Pretty Paws on Angie's List because they got all A's and good reviews. We were able to get an appointment pretty quickly (not having to wait several weeks like we did with our animal hospital groomer). The place looked clean and the owner David was very nice. We brought our dogs in at the scheduled appointment time and they were done within 2 1/2 hours! And, while they wait they are placed in a little play pen area and not in a crate which is great since one of our dogs has alot of anxiety. Also, we did not have to wait all day like we would have with our previous groomer. So glad we found this place for our dogs. We will definitely be bringing them back to Pretty Paws for all their grooming.

We have a semi aggressive, anxiety ridden English Bulldog which we actually adore. We have had difficulty getting her claws trimmed, and on our last trip, she actually was so anxious they has to abandon the trim, and she even developed a nose bleed. That establishment told us they could no longer care for her and we'd have to go to the vet and get her sedated every time. We read such great reviews for Pretty Paws, we thought we would try it and talked to the owner, David, about her issues. He recommended we go to the vet, get a prescription for a sedative and then make an appointment with him for nail trimming. We went to the vet, got the medication and were able to schedule an appointment at a time when other dogs would not be present. They were able to trim her nails very quickly and with no problem. He really cares about the dogs, and was very accommodating scheduling. We will definitely be going back there every month.

Great place.

Called for grooming appt. and was able to schedule easily. Dropped the dog off at appt. time and was called within the estimated time frame of pickup. The cut was done exactly the way the groomer and I discussed.

Brought my dog in to get a bath and nails clipped and I was really impressed with the service. I was able to get an appointment right away and the services were performed in the time period they provided. David was gentle and attentive with my dog and gave her time to get used to him. She is really scared when going to the groomers, so he approached her with kindness and assured her she was safe. He did an excellent job. She looked and smelled so pretty when he was finished. My dog was happy and playful when I picked her up. I will definitely be using them for my dog's future grooming needs.

I've taken my dog there twice now after trying at least 6 other groomers. I was looking for a groomer who would work on my dog during an appointment time, rather than having my dog wait in a cage for his turn (the little guy has separation anxiety and claustrophobia!). The entire process takes about an hour, and he is able to play in a small play area with another friendly dog. David listens to what I want done and tries to work with me, if it's possible. He is quiet and gentle with my nervous dog. My dog's coat is very curly and easily matted. David recommended and I purchased a brush from him that has been really helpful. He takes a photo of your pet for you to take home...very cute. The end result is good...he looks well groomed and cute without looking ridiculous (no lion head or feather duster tail!). There were a few "loose" ends but I could easily trim those. Most importantly, I know my dog is not going to be traumatized. The price is fantastic...cheaper than any other place I've tried, including Pet Smart. It's very easy to get an appointment. I'm sold!

I had been looking for a groomer that would allow my very friendly dog to play while he wasn't being groomed, rather than stay in a crate. I had been going to a different one that had a full dog daycare that he could attend, but after a really bad haircut at that place, I decided it wasn't worth it. So, I picked Pretty Paws because they at least had a gated off area for small, friendly dogs to hang out after their haircuts. My dog's haircuts have been very well done, and I can usually get an appointment the next day or even the same day. My dog is happy to get to Pretty Paws and obviously enjoys himself while he is there.
