It was a good experience. I liked that they were available during early hours. I spoke with someone on the phone and they explained their process during COVID and no contact service. If other issues are found, they would let the consumer know. I spoke to them on a Thursday or Friday and they came on Saturday. I like that they didn't make any promises they could not keep.

Got a $25 new customer discount off their $149 fee. They did the job then notified me that part of my dripping problem was because the gutters weren't sloped correctly. They suggested replacement, and I can't remember the price they quoted me but it seemed high. Also thought I should shop around. Got some calls unintentionally via Home Advisor; the guy I got to come for an evaluation agreed the slooe(s) were off, but said he could fix that and reattach some of the gutters, which I had hime subsequently complete.

The office left a phone message informing me that they could not do the gutter cleaning, I received a bill for the window cleaning of over $200, which I had pre-paid with a credit card. In my view this was dishonest; if they could not do the basic gutter work, they should have just left and not billed me anything. This whole operation was a waste of time and money.

The work done was not as agreed upon. I was told they wash the gutters and drain the downspouts but my water was never touched. I have Ring cameras installed all around the house which shows this. All the crew did was spend a few minutes blowing leaves off the leaf guards. All external surfaces were left dirty and not cleaned as discussed by the salesperson. The recently power washed deck of my home was also left completely filthy. I sent their supervisor a total of 8 pics showing the condition my property was left in but he had nothing to say about that. They felt that a fair solution would be to just lower the invoice to a basic service visit. The whole experience was stressful and the service was appalling. Find someone else.

I assume a workman came to my home and completed the gutter cleaning successfully as indicated on the invoice. I really do not know, as I discovered via phone that the results would be found on a flyer hung on my doorknob. A check mark on the flyer would mean a problem was found that needed immediate attention. No check appeared on the flyer. I never saw a workman although I was home the entire day. Yet, in a pre-printed section of the emailed invoice, these words appeared: "there is an estimate in your account for a problem which needs immediate attention. Please call us as soon as possible." The person who hung the flyer on my doorknob could have taken a few minutes to knock on the same door and give his or her name. This would indicate company respect for customers, although we were told in advance that no one needed to be home for the gutter cleaning.

They were here for ten minutes and said the system was flushed. I asked to speak to a member of the work crew, but was not permitted to do so since they told me they don't speak English well.

They come out four times a year. They did not keep the place clean. I would not use them again because of that and the price. They are a little annoying, they keep calling. I am using another company moving forward but I am still getting the phone calls.

Keeping our price competitive while still providing the highest level of quality and fastest level of service available is not easy. We don't just put men on the road - they first go through significant training both in a classroom setting where they are tested and must score at a certain level before going on the road, and then they are field trained and tested on the road. We use high-tech PDA equipment so we can report issues to you as close to real time as possible, and we are open 7 days a week. On top of that, we carry full workers compensation and liability insurance, which most of the small, fly by night companies can't afford. Putting that level of service together isn't easy, but it is very important for you and for us. As a result, we have been in business for 51 years, and we are A+ rated. I have used this company for several years and they always do a good job. If there is ever an issue (extremely rare) they will make it right. They cleaned the gutters a few weeks ago and are scheduled to do it again in a few weeks as the leaves are falling. The technicians are always pleasant and professional. I used Ned Stevens to replace all of the gutters and some facia in the front of the house about 10 years ago. I recommend them.

I've hired Ned Stevens to clean my gutters since 2006. Today I called to renew my service contract and inquire if there were any cheaper plans than the Diamond plan that I currently have.... the answer? "No. If we clean your gutters fewer times per year we will just charge you more per visit."
The telephone rep actually seemed offended that I asked about a cheaper plan. Then they tried to sell me some sort of service to "wash mold off the shingles". I have a very small, rectangular shaped single story house. There's no way periodic gutter cleaning should cost almost $800 per year on my house.
Needless to say, I won't be renewing the contract with Ned Stevens.

"You are 100% right that you should know all the options. I don't know what happened in the call, but it sounds like it was handled terribly by the young lady you spoke with. I will meet with her ASAP. You have many options and our manager will call you today to discuss them. As for the soft wash offer, that was made to let you know of a new service based on our findings of moss on your roof with your last service. It's a great service that doesn't involve power washers and extends the life of the roof shingles while usually lowering energy costs. Again, I am sorry for the phone call and I will get to the bottom of it."

(1) Was charged $690 + 6% tax to snake 4 underground drains tied to gutter down spouts. I price checked after the service was done from a Charlotte, NC company (see website site Apple Drain) - they charge $128 + $50 additional, about $280 @ 4 drains. Add a 50% premium for DC/MontCty/Mclean and it should be about $450, not the $690.
(2) Refused to give me a service date so I can be home to observe/supervise. Wife was at home, but was in the shower. She thought they (not sure of 1 or 2 workers) were here for about 30 minutes. My gutter drains are underground -- 30 minutes isn't enough time to dig dirt out (down spouts go below soil level), disconnect from underground drains, snake, reconnect and fill in soil again.
A guy in their NJ HQ called back and said work was completed and "successful", meaning the drains were not broken as the snake wire went through.
I am in the process of investigating if the work was done, because 30 minutes is not enough time to do 4 drains.
(3) They reported one of my down spouts was "broken" and they could replace for $125 (I have copper $!!, they would do aluminium). I investigated and could not determine what was wrong with the down spout
So far, I would NOT use them them again.
