I've been using their services for close to 15 years and never disappointed with the quality of service and the knowledge and professionalism from their technicians. (Rich) Was very polite and explained what services he was performing at my property.

I would like to complain about the salesman working Ridges of Ashburn today. He lied about my neighbor sending him over, and totally ignored the No Soliciting sign to knock on my door. I used them years ago, until I found they flat out lied about termite protecting being included in my package, leaving me without coverage for a couple of years.

Worst pest services I have ever paid for. They never called and asked to make an appointment, they just showed up at incredibly inconvenient times and put down cheap stuff I could have bought at walmart. The house was still crawling with bugs after three months of services. When I tried to cancel, they informed me that per the contract they would still bill me 85% of the cost for all scheduled services they never provided. Complete ripoff.

Moxie insisted to charge me for the services I never received. I called them and said that my house is sold and I do not need the service any more. The representative said that I could pay and transfer the service to the next home owner. She would not agree to cancel the service. It[s like daylight robbery. I have never had such experiences with any service provider. I would urge people look out for this brazen unethical company. Do not sign up its contract ever. Once you signed it, you will never get out of it.

AVOID AT ALL COST! To start, they dropped off a "sales rep" on our mountain subdivision with a hover-board to solicit sales when there are signs clearly posted stating "No Soliciting". Despite knowing this, I felt relatively bad for the kid since it was a 100 degree day and considering the amount of ticks that we have due to the deer population on our mountain, I decided I would give them a chance to minimize tick exposure to my dogs and reduce the spiders I see around my property. The service plan seemed relatively straightforward and the pests they treat for covered pretty much everything we have on the mountain. After signing, they scheduled the appointment with a 2 hour arrival window. Approximately 10 minutes before the 2 hour arrival window expired, the technician finally arrived. When the technician approached me I was asked "what did you need done?". I found that rather off-putting since I'm not the "professional" in this exchange and I said "Well, what did I pay for?" He gave me the basic rundown I was already given by the sales rep but essentially came off as though they were optional "as-needed" services. My expectation would be for the service company to have a checklist of initial services to be performed as covered under the plan. The gentlemen came inside with a sprayer and sprayed sporadically along the baseboards. By no means would I consider the spraying he did as thorough. He didn't treat 2 of my unfinished rooms whatsoever and didn't treat any of the areas around my basement bar or garage. The outside treatment amounted to brushing down spiderwebs from the front door area up to the roof-line. After completion, there were still numerous spider nests and eggs that were left behind. In addition, the technician did spray the front door area but based on the time spent, not much else was done on the perimeter. The yard treatment to address the ticks was intended to be a granulated treatment 30 feet out from the base of the house. This was not done at all, since the tech left right after doing the half-a$$ed wipe and spray job on the front stoop. Mind you, I have all of this on my security camera and this overall visit was under 40 minutes. This prompted me to call and complain. I'm generally pretty reasonable and was open to giving them a second chance to make it right. They scheduled another appointment for rework. The rework was schedule with a 4 hour arrival window (0800 - 1200). Again, the second technician arrived roughly 10 minutes before the window expired. This technician sat in my driveway for 10 more minutes before coming to my door. 4 hours out of another day waiting for them to arrive. Total of 6 hours waiting for them to pi$$ poor work. I explained my previous experience and he assured me he would make it right. I told him if he wanted to start the outside first to let me know when he was ready to move indoors so I could corral my dogs. I chose to monitor his activity through my security cameras. He redid the brush down of spiderwebs and still left a considerable amount behind. He sprayed the front area again. He did bring out a small shaker can, about the size of a medium can of coffee and walked the perimeter. By no means would I have expected that to cover 30 feet out from the base of my 3500 square foot home. A broadcast spreader would have been more effective and would still require 3 or 4 passes to achieve 30 feet from the base of the home all around. Then he left. Didn't speak with me. Didn't come inside to do the interior of the home. Just left. Given this was a rework, I would have have expected them to be at their best. Also, after reviewing my security footage, this technician spent his whole time working on my home while taking a personal call. Total time spent "working" this visit, less than 30 minutes (not including the time sitting in my driveway). On to their customer service. While I don't hold their phone representatives too accountable for poor service, why shoot the messenger? What I do expect is for account managers to be available and relatively responsive if it comes to the reputation of the company. I was transferred into 20 minutes of my time on hold before I gave up. Called again and was told the account was notated and any future appointments cancelled. I explicitly requested a refund and I wanted either an account manager or regular manager to speak to in order to complete the refund. I was told they would follow-up. With that said, I now turn to sharing my experience to prevent anyone else from tying up money and valuable time with this company. BUYER BEWARE!!

We used this company for pest control a few years ago. We had an ant problem and they were never able to take care of it. There were ants in the yard, where they said they put insecticide pellets, and there were ants in the house even after they came multiple times to take care of the problem. They left a bill on our door once per quarter, but I'm not sure they actually did anything. So we switched to a new company, and now at least once per month someone from Moxie comes to our door talking about how our neighbors use them and trying to get us to switch for ten minutes while I try to get them out of our house. Once the salesman told me a ridiculous story about how since they had treated my neighbors lawn, it was going to drive all the ants from his yard into mine if I didn't hire them. They are dishonest and pushy, and they don't even get the job done. I went several years without leaving a review, but over the weekend they pushed their way into my house again, ignoring my hints for the guy to leave, and wasting 10 minutes of my time. It was the last straw.

We've used Moxie Pest Control for 6 years. They stated that they performed (and we paid for) annual inspections and yet now, after having another pest control company come in to perform a termite inspection, it turns out we've had beetles underneath our house that have caused enough damage that we will be out thousands of dollars to have repaired. Please, think twice before hiring this company. They do not actually inspect the house or crawl space. I'm not sure what they actually do other than sweep away spider webs and spray for ants. They bold face lied to me over the phone, stating that they would come out to the house and treat for the powder post beetles. The rep who came out to the house verified that there was damage, and then told me they don't treat for that type of beetle. When I called to cancel, the customer service representative stated that we had a unique situation, that they would do whatever they could to make it right. Then she called back and stated that they don't treat for those types of beetles and to make sure that whatever service provider we choose to use, make sure they regularly treat for it as it's a liability going into a crawl space. They did not offer to refund any money. They did not apologize for missing the fact that there were bugs destroying our property. They were out here monthly to service Sentricon traps, but they never actually looked to see if there were termites in/under our house. How did they verify the termite traps were working if they weren't actually looking around the property to check for termites? If you are looking for a pest control company that actually inspects your house and treats for all types of pests, please save yourself wasted time and money, and look elsewhere.

Fantastic. They don't even need to come inside to do the quarterly pest control. After their initial inside treatment they have only had to do perimeter work. Every year the ants come in at the kitchen and they send someone right out-no extra charge. I also used them 2 years ago when my dog brought in fleas and I couldn't get rid of them. Did an awesome job. The house didn't stink of chemicals when done either!

Moxie Pest Control is by far the worst company ever to use for ants/spiders. Please SAVE YOUR MONEY! They gave us extremely poor service. We had ants coming through our kitchen, bedroom, and office. Only a few months later after their 2 initial treatments, the ants were back and spider webs still were on our porch. It was a $119 each time. After we contacted them after the second payment explaining how disappointed we were with the service, they said they would send someone out again. Someone came again and still after a few weeks the ants were back. We called back to cancel before the 3rd appointment (it's quarterly treatments) in our 1 yr contract because we weren't paying for services that didn't give us any value and they said that they could send someone again but they didn't care they weren't meeting their end of the contract. They said that I will still have to pay the $119 for your next 2 appointments or pay the $150 to cancel. I was FURIOUS!! We decided to give it another chance, after all, we still had the ant problem. Within 1 month of the 3rd treatment, we moved away into an apartment complex and guess what... they still wanted to charge us for treating the house we didn't live at anymore!!! They are the most greedy and non-customer friendly company you will ever work with. Stay away!!!

We've been with Moxie for almost a year and have been very pleased with their service calls. However, when Tyler Starn performed a recent termite inspection, we were thoroughly impressed. We've had several pest control companies over the years, and Tyler was, by far, the most professional, most thorough, and most knowledgeable technician we've encountered. Not only was his termite inspection outstanding, but he also took the time to advise us on other pest issues he observed.

Called the company and they were very helpful on the phone and set us up with an annual plan that seemed very reasonable and hopefully effective! They said they guarantee they will get rid of the bugs. Our technician was very professional and a nice guy. His name is Pernell Boyd and I hope that he receives his $10 tip as part of your tip technician program because he did a great job!
