I called and made an appointment to take my car to Mercedes Benz of Chantilly on January 16, 2015 for a recall related to the tail lamps failing (tail lamp recall 2014050001). According to the letter I received from the manufacturer, I would be eligible for a reimbursement if I had already paid to correct the problem. Since I had the problem corrected at the same location in May 2014, I assumed they would be willing to reimburse me. I was wrong. After talking with the sales rep and the sales manager, I was told that I would not be reimbursed. Then the sales manager offered to reimburse me for just the tail lamps that I had replaced. In the end I was reimbursed for nothing.
When I scheduled my appointment, I was told that it would be a 30 minute wait time. I planned accordingly. When I arrived and spoke with the sales rep, I was told that it would take 1.5 to 2 hours. The sales rep really didn't seem to care that the scheduler had told me 30 minutes. After discussing this issue with the sales manager, they got me in and out in around 35 minutes.
I was unhappy that they did not reimburse me for something that was caused by a recall.
This review is based on my experience over three automobiles and multiple visits for sales, parts, service. I have not had one bad experience with this dealership. They foster a culture of service and customer satisfaction that is truly a pleasure to experience.
