My experience was fantastic. Paul Greening worked with me and my associate to show us pieces of granite that fit into our budget. He even showed us three different slabs from the same lot and allowed us to pick the exact slab and the section to be used for the tabletop. He gave us a price that included the fabrication, taxes and delivery. The process couldn't have been any more efficient. Great experience.

Entire job went well. Had one hiccup on one miscut sink. However, they immediately corrected and replaced within a couple of hours. Which was quite impressive and the replacement was better than the original! Chris Schan our sales POC was phenomenal and extremely responsive! Couldn’t ask for a better sales guy!!!! Coordinated everything so well and of course pricing was awesome!!! Will come back for the kitchen island. Beautiful job!

I worked with Tina who was friendly and knowledgeable. Even though it was a very small project by their standards, I was never made to feel it was too small for her time.

We could not have chosen a better company than Fairfax, nor a better design consultant than Paul. He helped us through the process to make sure everything was done quickly and efficiently. We've purchase granite in the past for other homes, but never have we had such extraordinary service or such thorough planning. Paul took the trouble to wash and move the slabs we chose indoors to make sure we could see the color in light similar to the kitchen. He designed the flow and use of the granite to make optimal use of the color and efficient use of the slabs. The installers arrived exactly on time, and worked efficiently and with great care to remove the old counter tops, deinstall and re-install the cooktop and new sink and to make sure everything was spotlessly clean at the end. They were talented, careful, thoughtful and extremely hard working. I highly recommend Fairfax Marble and Granite!.

From beginning to end this was an incredible experience. They have a great selection with unique stone, not what you see everywhere else. Paul was remarkable to work with and the team was polite and respectful. The installers were ahead is schedule, polite, efficient, and cleaned up beyond our expectations. The countertops look amazing and the seam match is spot on. I can't wait until we install our backsplash!

Everything was top notch - from the initial visit to the office on Dorr Ave. in Fairfax, to the final installation. Paul, our salesperson, listened to what we wanted, and showed us a large number of pieces of granite that we felt would work. When I returned with a kitchen door to make the final selection, he was very helpful in narrowing down the choices. All the appointments made for measurement and installation went without a hitch. The installers were very prompt, and cleaned up the work area spotlessly. I would use Fairfax Granite and Marble again, and would specifically request Paul as our salesperson.

Fairfax Marble and Granite, LLC. has probably the best overall selection of exotic stone in the area - priced dearly, but beautiful. That's where the accolades stop. Because we wanted the stone we selected and couldn't find it elsewhere, we endured dealing with, in our opinion, one of the most irascible and generally unlikeable representatives we've ever encountered. Twenty-twenty hindsight, we should have requested another employee, but did not. To keep this to a reasonable length, suffice it to say, there were problems with the fabrication of the stone (chips, crudely cut openings, inaccurate measurements) and with the installation (gouged walls and carpet, misaligned top and backsplash, too large gaps between the stone and the wall, damaged sink cabinet, inability, due to lack of talent, to complete certain portions of the work). Worst of all, there was no sense of accountability. All-in-all, not an enjoyable experience and not one I would recommend. Note: This rating applies to the Fairfax location of Fairfax Marble and Granite. We did not experience the other locations - maybe we should have. I contacted the owner by letter that included the above complaints. His representative asked what they could do to make it better. I advised, other than ripping out the new stone and doing it again, or discounting the cost, there wasn't much he could do - you can't create stone where it has been cut. I never received a counter offer.
Response from Fairfax Marble & Granite LLC

"We apologize for the issues. Lets address each issue one by one; * CHIPS: natural stones, especially some exotic ones as we used for this client, has glitters in them creating chips while cutting. We fill the chips as best as possible, trying to match the color. Unfortunately, there is no machinery to guarantee that the natural stone will not chip during fabrication. * MEASUREMENTS: We take digital measurements so they are as good as they can be. Expecting the countertops to follow the imperfections on site, such as walls being out of square, would not be realistic. In addition, our measurements are precise to 1/8" of an inch. Expecting our measurements to be precise to 1/32nd would not be realistic. * CRUDELY CUT OPENINGS: The openings we cut were all perfect. We do not understand what the customer refers to when he says "crudely cut openings" * GOUGED WALLS AND CARPET: There is always risk of damages to premises during granite installation. We do everything we possibly can do to prevent and minimize them, but things happen once in a while. Trying to have the pieces without any seams, and accessibility can lead to difficulty. It is true that our installers caused some damages during instillation. We spoke with the client about the issues, he said "he already took care of them." We further asked him to come up with a reasonable monetary compensation for the work he did. He said he will think about it. He never contacted us back about them. * THE GAPS BETWEEN THE STONE AND THE WALLS: the particular customer had back splashes to go with his countertops. Some gaps are purposely left on the stone for the ease of installation. They are all covered by the back splashes. * DAMAGED SINK CABINET: He mentioned to us that we damaged the sink cabinet. When we asked for details, he said that he already fixed it. * NO SENSE OF ACCOUNTABILITY: Our sales representative contacted the client to go over the issues. He refused to talk to him. Our general manager contacted him as well. He said he will think about it, but has never contacted us back. It is not true that he never got a counter offer from us."

From start to finish, the work done was first class. Overall, from measurements to installation, the job took about 2 weeks. Tina Sandridge (Chantilly) answered our many questions, and Mehmet, the contact person in the shop area was so very helpful when we ran into a bit of a problem (something caused by us, not the company). Installation was fascinating to observe. The finished product is beautiful: quartz countertops, island, and backsplashes.

Perfectly!! Tina Sandridge was an excellent sales rep and all involved in this project were extremely helpful - arrived on time, did the work neatly, and everything looks great! From start to finish, from choosing the granite to measuring to installation took about 2 weeks. The actual installation took about 2 hours for the granite and another hour or so for the plumber later in the afternoon. We purchased the garbage disposal ourselves but the plumber installed it. After the installation, there was a very small area that needed more polishing - they came out as quickly as possible and took care of it. I would highly recommend this company!

Response from Fairfax Marble & Granite LLC

"[Member Name Removed], we are sorry for your disappointment, and would be happy to try to assist you, should you contact us in the future. Fabricating a marble top, is not a problem for us. What is most important, is to ask numerous questions about the table base it will rest on. In all likelihood, there were issues surrounding the base, that led us to determine it was not possible to fabricate your particular top. We tried to contact you but could not find your information in our system. Please feel free to contact us if we can further assist. We appreciate your feedback."

They mismeasured one piece and had to do a glue attachment. It was too short so they had to cut a piece and epoxy it on. The piece is in a hidden spot so it cannot easily be noticed. They had excellent selections. I have a feeling if we had gone with something higher quality, we would have had a better price. They were very good about making appointments and keeping them. The punctuality was spot on. They were here on time and they called before they left. They have a better selection than any other place we looked.

I went to the Chantilly showroom and they had a big selection of granit in all price ranges (I wasnted something inexpensive).  Nice big slabs to look at to see the pattern of the stone.
They sent someone to measure my kitchen a few days later and installed the countertop and sink within about 2 weeks of my order. They took great care to make sure the corner where 2 pieces of granite joined was smooth and even, which I appreciated.
The plumber came with them to install the sink and he was able to re-attach my garbage disposal so I didn't have to buy a new one. He recommended a new valve under the sink but I decided not to spend the extra $35 (mistake). The next day there was a leak because of my old valve, so I emailed Fairfax Marble and they sent the plumber back in a day, and he replaced the valve for $35 with no extra service fee.
The guy from Fairfax Marble even emailed me after the installation to make sure I was happy with everything and not many companies do that any more. From talking to my friends, I'd say the prices here are the same as what you'd pay at any other place. Not cut-rate, but it seems like a fair price for nice quality, big selection, and great service.

I visited many showrooms before i finally found the perfect stone at Fairfax Marble and Granite for the kitchen and master bathroom countertops.  Their selection of stone was far superior and much more unique than those I saw in other showrooms at a very competitive price.  From start to finish, everyone was very professional and I never felt pressured to make the purchase.  The shape of the bathroom countertop was a bit unusual, however, the company did a wonderful job.  The kitchen is very compact, so the measurements had to be precise.  The installation was perfect!  I have received numerous compliments on the beautiful stone and workmanship and highly recommend the company.

We were very pleased with Tina Sandridge, the designer/sales rep., who assisted us.  The price was very good for the 24 square feet of granite that we needed for our project.  The installation crew did a great job.
