Excellent! Dan was very professional and knowledgeable. I expect this from a real estate agent
Bottom line : I have worked with many Real Estate Agents, Dan is very customer friendly and extraordinarily helpful So this makes him a stand out and why:
1. He listened and asked insightful questions. This was the right place to start!
2. Made key and important recommendations at the right time.
3. He spent time to get feedback after every site visit.
He was direct and very focused on my satisfaction. Each property we visited met my demanding search criterion.
He told me that my expectations might need to broadened in the Fairfax County market. Explained in detail what my options were and backed it up with actual listings. Was eye opening and very helpful. He was so right... his help saved me time and money!
Although I ultimately decided to look in another area for a better return. Dan made a real positive impression and was much better than all the others I had been working with. He did not try to sell me anything, just wanted me to be a happy customer.
Integrity Matters.

I especially appreciate finally finding Dan here on Angie's List because the whole process of selling my house before Dan was only painful. This was the first time I was selling a house and naturally I started by screwing things up. Originally I talked with one contractor who offered to fix the house up for $44,000 which was just not in the cards for me, and he was actually supposed to do less than Dan's contractor was eventually doing for $20,000!Not knowing any better I then hired a guy who asked for $8,800 to do the paint job, carpeting and kitchen, but he ended up doing pretty much nothing for 5 months, messed up the paint job (the paint was peeling from the doors) and the carpet job wasn't that great either.By then in panic mode (it was already April by then) I signed up on Angie's List, partly because I wanted to have some leverage against the next guy I hired [I was feeling kind of revengeful at that time], but was mainly hoping to finally get someone decent to take care for my house. Here I found Dan, and when he came by my house, he clearly wasn't impressed with what had been done, so I fired the current guy, and Dan got his team in and those guys did the fantastic job described above. I now realize that I was crazy not to hire Dan Hill 5 months earlier, which would have saved me a lot of pain. His advice and support were invaluable.Beyond that, Dan has a great caring personality, and made himself always available to talk and listen to my concerns. He worked around my schedule, was available weekends and evenings. He knows contractors who do high quality work at a fair price, he knows what sells a house and he knows how to price accurately (I got a 100% return of my renovation investment into the house.)Now I am in the process of looking for a new home and Dan has already sent me searches across the area tailored to my criteria. I definitely will stick with him. The home selling process won't be smooth, it seems to be stressful by nature, but Dan will help you to survive it, give you a realistic perspective and help you reap benefits of your investment. So, if you have a house to sell you are in very good hands choosing Dan Hill as your realtor. I can fully recommend his services.

We found Dan Hill on Angie's List as a realtor in our area. His listing had all positive comments and he was also listed as a USAA Mover's Advantage Realtor. We didn't want to list our house until we had moved out because we didn't want to live in a house that had to be in and quot;show conditionand quot; each morning when we left for work.
We met with Dan, explained to him that we couldn't be in the area to take care of all the things needed to prepare the house to show and he said he'd take care of it all. He pulled the local market reports and we settled on a marketing price and a date to begin showing the house.
The day after the movers came, Dan had the painters at the house at 8 AM. The painters he recommended were reasonable and did a thorough, professional job. Carpet cleaning, maid services, HVAC servicing, all done while we were getting settled into our new home in another state. The marketing was terrific - professional photos with and quot;virtual walkthroughand quot;, glossy pamphlets in the house, and signs noting some of the string selling points in the house. Our home was on the market for less than a week before we had two offers; a low-ball offer (below market value and with the sellers paying all costs -- Dan did not pass along my initial response to the other realtor because he thought it would be rude) and an offer at the asking price with fair terms. We accepted the second offer.
Dan continued to work with us and the buyer agent, making the entire contracting process easy from start to finish. We were able to sign documents electronically and make contract updates in minutes instead of days.
Dan kept every appointment we made, was always punctual and professional, and followed through on everything we asked him to do. If we move back to the Northern Virginia area, we will definitely seek him out again to help us find a home and certainly recommend him to any of our friends looking to buy or sell in the area.

Jim Sandidge is the realtor. He is great. There were no pressure sales. My condo is very small and thus little expensive. He always has great quality service, even though my definition would have been very large. He is a very nice man. He is not as professional as my experience with section 80C. Most realtors are pretty informal people; but he is very friendly and very down-to-earth.
Response from Dan Hill
"Looks like this report belongs to Jim Sandidge and not Dan Hill."

Here is the most important thing to know about Dan: Five days after having a signed sales contract on a home, and the day after the sellers met requests relating to the home inspection, we found out that my transfer had been cancelled and I would be relocating to a DIFFERENT state/location. In spite of this, Dan never gave up on us or abandoned us--even though he obviously was NOT going to get a commission on the sale of the home. There would be no sale. Since learning of our change of plans, Dan (he was on vacation as all this was going down) kept in regular contact with us, continued to serve as intermediary between us and the sellers, and spearheaded the effort to prepare and submit the request for return of the real estate deposit. While the jury is still out regard getting these monies returned, the important thing about Dan is that he stuck with us. As far as finding the home on which we did make the offer, Dan was very efficient/effective in reviewing homes that met out needs, setting up timely visits/re-visits, listened, and walked us through every step of the process.
