I've been going to them for 15 years. I liked their punctuality and accurate estimates.

The Chantilly branch is part of a larger network. In theory, the work can be done at any of the branches, regardless of where you bring your car in. My work was all done at Chantilly. This office is really well organized. Tara runs the front desk and knows what's going on with each of their jobs. They kept me informed almost daily. There was a slight glitch when Toyota provided the wrong part, but Craftsman was right on top of it, and let me know.
They have a close working relationship with the nearby Enterprise Rental Car who will come pick you up and drop you off at the Craftsman office.
When my insurance company (USAA) recommended them, I was concerned since I didn't know anything about them and this office wasn't in Angie's List. But as I mentioned above, I was so pleased with the quality and responsiveness of the insurance work that I had them fix some other spots (where I tried to take out the concrete pillar in a parking garage, for example).
It really was a pleasure to do business with Tara and the manager [whose name I have forgotten]. There's no guessing as to what will happen and they really keep you informed.

USAA provided the name of this repair shop as an option. A USAA trained representative is onsite.
Although I was confident that the material repairs would be satisfactory, I was concerned (based on prior experience with my original dealership repair shop!!!!!!) that the custom color of white could not be replicated. I dropped off my Lexus with Craftsman Autobody Chantillly. After talking with the onsite representative I felt a lot more comfortable. The front office kept me informed during the process. I did NOT have to call and beg for information. They delivered ON TIME. No extensions. No excuses. No frustrations. The color was PERFECT. This paint color is so challenging that I told them I would only pick it up in the daylight to ensure the color was right. They did not disappoint!
Based on their performance, I would not hesitate to highly recommend. And for me, I won't go anywhere else for bodywork.

I was very pleased with the overall experience. Communication is imporant and Craftsman Autobody routinely kept me informed by phone of the progress of the repairs.

The manager there, Dave Rooney, really means what he says, "it ain't over 'till it's over." It took Craftsman three visits to address all of the vehicle's problems. This was fairly frustrating- their attention to detail / quality control wasn't what I was hoping. That said, they guarantee everything and didn't baulk on addressing lingering problems (such as a window they installed that leaked). The car is basically back to normal, with a few minor cosmetic things only someone very picky like me would notice. Major issues have been addressed, and Craftsman always provided a rental car even after we'd exceeded insurance limits for that to minimize our inconvenience.

I think they did a really nice job. However, they did not tell me that they were going to use a different material for the door. From a visual perspective, it looks fine. But I can tell by the sound of the door opening and closing. That was the only negative about the experience. I would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.
