A tree fell on our house and CMP Restoration quickly had it removed, patched up our roof, and had our laundry room cleaned up and put back into working order. They were timely, helpful, and responsive and did a fantastic job of getting the tree off the house safely.

The clean-up went well. However, the other work did not come close to the standards which the house was built. They work with the insurance companies and are supposed to get it back to its original condition. However, in most phases, they cut corners to save money. The paint (while expensive) was put on so thin, that you could see through it to the drywall and cut-ins. FYI- we spent in one room almost 7 gallons of paint - they did it in 2. When re-grouting our kitchen floor, they skimmed coated a very thin coat of grout. It looked fine for 2-3 months (the warranty period), but we then had to completely redo the grout by removing it (with a chisel) to the floor base. The rework cost over $1,000. We were living in the house at the time (which only 20% was available due to all the damage) and they would not show up for weeks. When doing the drywall, they did not attach the duct work the drywall or vent register (ducts were pushed up into the ceiling). This caused extremely inefficient heating/cooling and hot/cold spots throughout the house. The original all-wood moldings were replaced with composite moldings to save them money. They did not finish the corners of the drywall where crown molding was installed. This left gaps (up to 1 1/2 inches) through to the insulation. If we ever decide to remove the crown, the walls will have to be re-mudded. This is not back to original condition. Several window sills needed to be replaced. They used standard 1x6 pine with squared corners as opposed to standard window sill moldings. This did not match any of the other windows in the house and looked "cheesy" at best. Many facets of the restoration had to be re-done due to their workmanship. We got tired of waiting and fighting them and eventually did a lot of the rework ourselves and at our own expense.

THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE TO DEAL WITH AND THEIR WORK IS SUBSTANDARD, TO SAY THE LEAST. I WOULD NOT REHIRE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
