Ramsey designed my kitchen for me, was so flexible and I ended with a kitchen that I just love! I also bought my cabinets from them and was really happy with how my kitchen turned out. I will highly recommend him and use him, again.

I met with Mr. Rick Grandy several times in October/November 2014 to discuss vanities for an upcoming remodel of my master and guest bathrooms. The contractor that I hired for the bathroom remodels referred me to a different vendor that they use for many of their jobs, but I was looking at other options as well. Through the course of several informal conversations at the showroom with Mr. Grandy it became very clear that he had in-depth knowledge of kitchen and bathroom cabinets and was a valuable resource during my research. The vendor that my contractor recommended proved to be slower than anticipated in providing quotes for the cabinets and their quotes came in at an absurdly high price. After not being satisfied with the value and service provided by the other vendor, I sat down with Mr. Grandy. We discussed comparable products to what I had been quoted by the other vendor and during this visit he rendered the designs using 3D software and he asked a lot of important questions during the process that the other vendor had overlooked. Within this same visit he provided a quote on the spot and I decided to go with Cabinet Discounters. His price came in at half what the other vendor quoted for the same cabinet quality and design (price includes taxes and a delivery charge). Our order was delivered to our door on schedule in December 2014 and was installed by our contractor with no issues. The cabinets that I chose are made by Brighton Cabinetry and are a Shaker style. The master vanity is a dual sink with a middle tower and made with Cherry wood with a Peppercorn finish. The guest vanity is made with Maple wood with a Hazelnut finish. The cabinets look and function great and I?m very happy with the cabinet selections and quality. The service, value and selection options provided by Cabinet Discounters were excellent. I highly recommend Mr. Rick Grandy and I will certainly return to Cabinet Discounters to work with him when it comes time to remodel the kitchen.

Our kitchen and master bathroom were beyond outdated so we decided it was time to remodel.  Before selecting Cabinet Discounters we went to all the big box stores and smaller boutique remodeling shops, but we always left confused about which brand and construction of cabinetry was the best and why there were such wild differences in prices.  We actually avoided Cabinet Discounters at first because the ?Discounters? in the name made us assume the cabinets were of lesser quality.  We couldn?t have been more mistaken!
We happened to be driving past the Cabinet Discounters store in Chantilly, VA (at Route 50 and 28) and decided to go in.  We were greeted by Mary Banas, who asked about our kitchen project and what our goals were and then she proceeded to show us the differences in cabinetry, why one brand might be a better choice than another depending on whether we needed custom sizes, certain features, etc., etc.  In fact she then suggested we look at Consumer Reports and some other sources on the internet to help understand cabinetry better.  We left the store very impressed with Mary?s knowledge and the consultative way in which she engaged us, never pushing for an immediate sale like the other stores did.
A few days later we asked Mary to come out to our house, measure the kitchen and put together a design recommendation along with pricing.  We were amazed at the novel design she presented, suggesting things we never considered, including where all the cookware should be stored and the appropriate type of cabinet or drawer to help make the whole cooking process most efficient and improve the ambiance for entertaining.  Mary very patiently made numerous changes to the design over the next few weeks to accommodate our very picky desires.  She made us feel like we were her only customers even though we knew better.  Best of all, the price was less than we expected for good quality cabinets.  You don?t have to use their installers but we did ? Wayne Pangle was the carpenter ? and he did a great job on the installation.  The end result was fantastic!  After the success with the kitchen we proceeded to remodel the living room wet bar and master bathroom with Mary and Cabinet Discounters, again with phenomenal results.  We recently sold that house in Great Falls and it was only on the market for four days.  Our agent said it was the kitchen and master bathroom that made the sale, which was all due to Mary Banas? incredible design abilities!
After we moved we immediately got Mary to out to redesign the kitchen and master bathroom in our new house.  The results were even better because the design challenges were much more complicated due to the unusual floor plan of our new home.  Mary provided many different design options and the final design dramatically improved the space and usability of our kitchen.  The before and after pictures of both the kitchen and master bath would make you think they can?t possibly be the same house.  We used Cabinet Discounters recommended installers and they did a great job, but again, you can use your own if you prefer.  We always receive very flattering compliments from friends and family.  Mary is gifted in her ability to look at room, see it for its potential and then come up with a design that you would never think of on your own.  Mary is a true professional, and is a certified designer, but beyond that she is a very wonderful easy-going person.  Mary would be the first person to tell you that we are not easy to please, but after 5 challenging projects we still look forward to using Mary Banas and Cabinet Discounters on our next two projects.  You?re in great hands with this team!

Cabinets and counter top were received on time and in perfect condition. Everything was exactly as requested. Cabinets were installed by Select Kitchens. Upon installation it was discovered there was one door which was too long for the location due to the design of the in-wall oven. Cabinet Discounters arranged for a new door at no cost to us.

See above for full description. Note the sink is supposed to be off-white. It is clearly white. Note there is supposed to be trim around the bottom. There is no trim!! It is important to note that they gave me the name of a contractor to help with the job and he was the BEST!! He does not work for Cabinet Discounters and did everything possible to help me through an impossible situation!!

I needed to replace my Master Bath vanity last year; After looking into other options including Home Depot, Lowes, and some Kitchen/ Bath places, I went with Cabinet Discounters because they had a sleek modern cabinet face that I really liked. Their pricing was also very good; it included a composite stone countertop (remnant). The cabinet quality is superb and the countertop is gorgeous. I purchased hardware and fittings separately, from Cape Cod Brass (online) and Lowes (online) respectively. I was surprised that I had to arrange for installation separately, but C.D. gave me a contact, Eamon Loftus, who did an excellent job and installed the cabinet, fixtures and hardware for $500.

Result: Beautiful, more functional, excellent quality/ workmanship
Be aware: That you have to arrange for your own installation, but if Eamon is still available, he is great. Also don't forget to add the cost of fixtures and hardware in your cost. That's a variable depending on the quality you want. I went with somewhat "upgraded" fixtures, but not high-high end, and am extremely happy.
Don't: My vanity had to fit into existing space. Since I wanted to add drawers to get stuff off my countertop (like make- up, toiletries, etc), the sinks got pushed a little close to the wall at 13 1/2 inches. 14 1/2"-15" would have been better and is more standard.
I was also a little surprised that the vanity is taller than what I had before; Apparently this is a more standard height now, and I am happy with it--you don't have to lean down as much.
I have another, larger built-in shelving project in the works with them too and have not hesitation going back to them.

We approached Ramsey with some design ideas, measurements, and a budget, which he used to come up with a cabinet brand, features, and design based on our wants and limitations. He was professional and patient with us, and we really enjoyed working with him.
Most importantly, he got us an amazing deal for both our cabinets and countertop.
Though they offer a really nice high end cabinet, if you’re on a budget, before you consider cabinets from a chain hardware store or IKEA, go talk to Ramsey! He was able to get us better quality cabinets, with more options, at a comparable price.

They did a great job. Our kitchen looks great. We just moved back from overseas and we had them redo our kitchen. We also got a new fridge, a new dishwasher, and a new window for our kitchen too. They were very professional. They were very friendly. They were very punctual. I would recommend them highly. If they are on time, I like them. We paid them in parts, a little bit for the cabinets, a little bit for the granite, and the electrician; they were all different bills. The design guy was very responsive; we would call him and he would be there.

ordered 3 custom cabinets, 2 to use as bathroom vanities and one for a wet bar. All 3 were beautiful. Had a separate contractor install and purchased the granite tops from a separate vendor.

Cabinet Discounter staff made a couple minor errors in measuring which caused problems later on (pieces had to be reordered). We chose a very high end line (Grabill) which takes a long time to get in. Cabinet Discounters staff was responsive in resolving problems and pleasant to deal with.

We were not impressed with the private installer they recommended as some of his cuts had to be redone. However, the Grabill cabinets look gorgeous and the quality is exceptional. The value provided by Cabinet Discounters for what we received was very good.

I visited the Chantilly showroom and worked with Ramsey Haddad to design new cabinets for my kitchen. I wanted to stay within the existing foot print and update with a better storage layout and features. After seeing my kitchen he suggested I remove the soffits above the existing cabinets and put in tall cabinets. After talking with my carpenter I decided to go with his recommendation. I replaced all cabinets with Brighton cherry, plywood construction, tall cabinets with crown moulding, soft close doors and drawers, and false door panels on the bottom cabinet ends. The new cabinets eliminated blind corners, hard-to-reach back of drawers, and provided more space with three-quarter shelves and, of course, the tall cabinets. There was a misunderstanding about when the cabinets can be delivered, and I had to delay installation for a week due to the Christmas / New Year break. When the cabinets arrived, they were wrapped in plastic, protected by bumpers at all corners, and wrapped again with cardboard. They were so well packaged it took my carpenter a good hour to unpack them. There was one hiccup. Instead of one deep drawer beneath the oven cutout, there were two skinny drawers. I called Ramsey. He came out, took measurements, and ordered a replacement drawer. After the cabinets were installed, a tech from Cabinet Discounters came to replace the two skinny drawers with the bigger drawer. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality of the cabinets and Ramsey's service. One of the reasons I decided to go with Cabinet Discounters is the Brighton cabinets can be custom made to varying widths and heights, and not be limited to increments of 3" as other "custom" lines seem to do. Since I wanted to stay within my existing foot print, the design had to be spot on in order for everything to fit. Ramsey did a great job measuring and incorporating what I wanted in the design -- lazy susan, plenty of drawers, spice rack, no wasted space, no skinny cabinets, no blind corners, etc. Ramsey gave me all those in an elegant, quality product. After nearly 8 months of use I still love to sit in the kitchen and just look at them.
