The workmanship is top notch.  The caulk lines are meticulous and everyone who comes to the door comments on what a great job they did.  Working with Larry McCarthy was wonderful.  His knowledge of his products was amazing.  He was honest, polite, responsive, and attentive. Our installer, Mr. Chung, was a perfectionist and it shows.  To say we are pleased is an understatement!

Interviewed three companies and Larry from Builder's offered the best price, and on top of that, was just an easy-going, low-pressure (actually no-pressure) salesman. A delight to deal with. Two terrific gentlemen came out and did the massive job in about six days time. Alex and Mr. Chung were a pleasure to work with and total pros. I had one minor problem a month after the work was completed and they came out and fixed it, no problem. The house looks fabulous.

Price was right. Owner is very responsive and he aims to please.

Showed up on time did work and left the place neat.  Performed additional work above and beyond contract for no additional cost ie bay window needed much more reconstructive work than planned.  Re-placed porch columns with custom replacements.  Listened to our concerns and behaved professionally.

Everything went well. I highly recommend them. They were honest and they came out quickly. They got our issues all basically when they came out just for a consult, basically take care of them and got it done.

Vendor stated on first day of work that the house would look like brand new - and he was right.  Vendor finished work on schedule and on budget and left work site clean.

The siding looks great.  The roof looks great overall.  The company, however, has never finished the project.  From the moment Larry cashed the check, the work basically stopped.  He had gained my trust so when the foreman asked me for a check (I was leaving town) I gave it to him, trusting the work would be completed.  It has been over 140 days since he cashed the check, and work has STILL not been completed.  They did a terrible job finishing (interior) around the new skylights - the just painted wood framing boards white, it really looks terrible.  They blocked a ventilation duct for the upstairs shower with siding, and never came out to relocate the vent properly (so now shower moisture just blows into my attic).  My roof line is crooked (along the gutter), still waiting for that to get fixed.  The paint on the trim is shoddy, you can see the white finish under the paint all over the trim.  It's too bad, they did an excellent job up front (and again the siding looks great), but they have seriously dropped the ball since.  I'm now forced to hire a more professional company to complete the job and will have to seek reimbursement/damages from Builders Siding.  I do not recommend trusting this company.

We went through a lengthy process of interviewing multiple siding companies and eventually selected Builders Siding to do the work. This turned out to be a great choice. Throughout the siding work, Builders Siding was consistently on-site, working every day, weather permitting. From start to finish, it took approx 1 week (excluding other minor repair / patch work).
Builders Siding did the following:
Replaced all siding
Replaced all shutters
Replaced all trim and wrapped in aluminum
Wrapped all exposed wood in aluminum
Reinstalled gutters (they were not hung properly)
Installed new gutter guards
Replaced door trim and surround
Wrapped and taped all seams of house in Tyvek
Overall, the job was great and I believe I chose a great contractor to do the work. There were some minor issues with products being broken, which were replaced, or nails on the ground, which were eventually picked up. However, this does not detract from the quality work that this company did for us.

Owner, Larry McCarthy, gave detailed estimate and returned in person when we had additional questions. Had to wait a few weeks for a firm start date, but once they began the work, they were quick, clean, meticulous, and courteous. No complaints. We were referred and have since referred a neighbor to Builders Siding - all very pleased with the outcome. A good number of homeowners in this community have used them. They will supply addresses of clients in your area to check out their work. Price may seem high, but we have issues with oil based paint under latex and have to repaint frequently. Will be a cost savings for us in the long run.

Job was to start same day as hurricane Sandy and had to be delayed. The estimate was that the job would take three days without rain. The job took from a Monday to a Thursday with 1 day of rain. At the end of each day the crew cleaned up and left materials neatly. At the end of the job, all debris was cleaned up. Payment was made after job completion. No deposit was required prior to the start.

Their Representative Larry Mccarthy was very knowledgeable, very nice, and very responsive. I called him recently with a question about a panel. He came and checked it out twice. They provide fantastic customer service.

The owner's name is Larry McCarthy. I found them on Consumers' Checkbook a couple of years ago. About three years after they put in the siding, I had a subsequent problem with it. The guy came out and fixed it for me without complaining. He deserves a pat on the back for standing behind the product that way, long after he needed to. They didn't charge me to fix the problem, and they did a nice job. I thought their price was very reasonable and the quality was pretty good.

They were amazing to deal with. The sales people are friendly and responsive. The craftsmen are masters at what they do. Builders hires only the best.

Builders Siding was recommended by Mr Steve Lacey, and I glad he did. Other siding companies didn't want to take the job, since it was only a repair vice replacing the siding on the entire house. The person who gave the estimate was very professional and knowledgeable. Once I found the paperwork from when the siding was last replaced, and gave him the particulars, Builders Siding was able to locate the siding for an exact match. Their estimate was very reasonable. The individual who did the work, was very professional and friendly. I would definitely call Builders Siding again, and recommend them to others.

The estimator was very professional and gave me advice that I did not get from the other estimators I met. He then took measurements and handed the estimate to me in less than 1 hour total time. After accepting, the job was scheduled to start a few days later. The job started on time and was completed in three days. I am very pleased with all of the work.

See above for our experience. I would specifically request that the individual doing the work on the windows and wrapping as noted above. I assume he still works with the company. Larry McCarthy as sales representative was very good as well.

Company was willing to repair a small job. Scheduling and repair were prompt. Service technician was professional.

Our experience with Builders Siding (703-803-7330, Chantilly VA) was excellent, from the first contact through the end of the project. Larry McCarthy, their representative, was responsive, prompt, courteous, and really knowledgeable about this kind of work. He gave us excellent advice and quoted us a fair price. When we asked him about the scope of the work to be done, he told us honestly what we needed to do and what was not necessary. Once Builders Siding set the appointment for doing the job, their crew arrived on time and did excellent work. They completed the job without delay. The new windows are of very good quality, as are all the materials they used. The craftsmanship is also very good; the windows are an excellent fit and the cladding is very cleanly installed. The townhouse now has a brand new look and is very attractive!

I called for an estimate on August 2nd and received the written estimate the following day. I was also provided with an extensive list of references and advised to take my time and call some of them and/or drive by to see if I was happy with the work that had been done. There was absolutely no pressure for me to sign a contract which was quite a relief to me. I did check out some of the references and liked what I saw so I called Builders Siding back within three days and said I wanted to sign a contract. Amazingly, no deposit was required! I was told that the work would begin within two to three weeks but they actually started work four days later (on August 10th) and completed the job on August 13th. There was a crew of three men who worked the first couple days and one man worked alone on the last day. The crew was polite, quiet, efficient and extremely professional. I believe they would have finished the job even faster if there had not been so many thunderstorms during that week. There was only one mistake and it turned out to be a minor one: I had asked to have the flag holder on one of my porch posts removed and not replaced and the workers had not been told to leave it off so they put it back on the post. When I pointed it out, it was fixed within ten minutes and I can't even tell that the flag holder was ever there.

We've used Builders Siding several times since 2004 for large jobs (all new windows) and small jobs (minor gutter repairs in March 2010 due to snow damage). Larry McCarthy is very professional and responsive and the crews do a great job. They have done good work and I will be asking them to bid on our siding replacement when that day comes.
