Remarkable Difference

I am so impressed!! This is by FAR the best results I’ve ever experienced! ! I’ve used Remarkable Difference 3 times in the past few years and I can honestly say in my opinion there is no better service out there. I’ve used many other carpet cleaning services for decades with nowhere near the same level of quality. I don’t know how they do their magic but I’m glad they do!! Remarkable Difference saved me from replacing carpets a couple times. The owner, John, is a top notch professional - very knowledgeable, trustworthy and friendly. He will do a fantastic job for you. Highly recommended!!

I explained to office staff that my carpet was older and had some stubborn stains; they advised that John is well known for his ability to work hard at removing stains and also providing advice about keeping stains to a minimum in the future.  John was extremely professional, was able to complete the process more quickly than I expected, and did an excellent job!  His business is very appropriately named - there was indeed a Remarkable Difference in the carpet when he finished!!  I would definitely recommend him and would absolutely hire him again!!

Rug came out much better than sofa.  Sofa had several old stains that did not come out.

I waited too long before I contact them.

This is the second time we have had Remarkable Difference do our rugs. The first time was in 2009, when the company and owner--John Triggs--was recommended by a real estate agent who said John did exceptional work. The work in 2009 was excellent, the service quick and efficient, and the price modest. The work this time was again excellent, with a very fair price. This time we had John spray Teflon on the rugs following the cleaning to protect surfaces from the ravages of grandchildren. John is very courteous and easy to work with. He provided several hits/ideas to help keep the rugs clean longer and told us to call him if anything is dropped on the rugs and we need help in figuring out in what to use to clean up the spots.

The excellent service started with the woman who answered the phone. She was extremely helpful. I needed someone to come out within 48 hours.

John Triggs, the owner, showed a bit early for our appointment. He was able to provide the service I needed within the short time frame I required.

I have used many carpet cleaning companies since I own three houses. John was able to clean my carpets and sofa better than anyone I've ever used in the past 30 years.

I was pleasantly surprised with the wonderful professional job he provided. He was extremely polite and professional and got right to work.

His prices were lower than I expected as well.

I will definitely call him again.

John and his assistant arrived on time and were polite, friendly and professional. There was some initial confusion as to which rooms' carpeting we had requested be cleaned, but this was easily resolved. They finished in just over one hour and John advised us as to how best to care for our newly-cleaned carpets over the next couple of days, as well as between professional cleanings.
I did suggest to John that customers receive a work-order confirmation/cost-estimate after scheduling appointments by phone, so as to preclude any miscommunications regarding the work to be performed and its cost. A printed sheet with post-cleaning care instructions would also be welcome in addition to John's excellent verbal suggestions. Our carpeting looks great and we will definitely use them again.

The company’s name is definitely appropriate, what a difference I saw after John completed the shampooing of my living room, stairs and hallway. The areas which I had cleaned are extremely high traffic areas. I had a few stubborn stains that John was able to remove with ease. He also took the time to explain that the process in which I was using to clean the stain was actually “setting” the stain. After a quick lesson on stain removal I will never apply resolve to a stain again. I was a little leery with the drying time since I always used steam cleaners, however the shampooing was by far a better process and the drying time was about the same. The truck mount equipment that was used was clean. I comment on this because of past carpet cleaning experiences I’ve had with dirty equipment. That was so not the case with “Remarkable Difference” John assured me that he cleans the hoses and attachment after every use. I was so thrilled with John’s work that I plan to schedule another appointment for him to clean my sectional in the basement.

I had been using Stanley Steemer but decied to try this company after reading good reviews in Washington Checkbook. I called and got a price based on measured square footage and number of rooms which was comparable to the price quoted by Stanley Steemer - and I was told that the equipment and resulting cleaning job would be better than that done by Stanley Steemer. Well, when the person came to my house he raised the cost by more than 10% so we compromised on the the difference. The equipment used was exactly the same as that used by Stanley Steemer and the cost to do additonal cleaning on furntiture was twice that of Stanley Steemer so I did not do it. I would say that the job was adequate - same as all the previous cleaning. At the end he did not take a credit card and asked for the check to be made out in his name rather than to the company. Interestingly, when I asked him what he does with the dirty water he said he puts it down his toilet at home - hmmm what does that tell you about the company? I would not use this company again.

All of the carpets came out perfectly clean. He removed all stains. They look like new. He also treated my heavily traffic hallway with teflon to help repell dirt. John is very professional, on time and always follows up. I have used him for the past 12 years. He is an expert on fibers and understands everything about all types of carpets. He understands fiber content so well that he knows the most appropriate cleaners to use that will not damage carpet. He uses a truck mounted hose carpet cleaner which is better than upright stand alone machines. I had some type of red stain on my wool carpet. He did a heat transfer and was able to remove the red color (which is the most difficult to remove). He is the only carpet cleaner that I trust with my expensive persian silk rugs, wool carpets as well as my synthetics. I have used him for the past 12 years. He has helped me out during floods, after parties. or just when I need my carpets cleaned from typical wear and tear. He always follows up and if anything needs a retouch he does it with pleasure at no extra cost.
He does the work himself so you always get his experties which is so unusual these days.

I spent $240 on the job, which was very reasonable. It was an outstanding job. They were very professional, very polite, and punctual. They did the job the very first time. I would highly recommend them and I will use them again in the future.

Cleaner arrived early and was ready to leave when I saw him and yelled. Overall experience was fine; cleaner was very polite and knowledgeable.

I thought that they had a more competitive price. Generally, I was pleased with the overall cleaning. There were some stains that they could not remove, but failed to tell me about. So when I arrived at the house I was disappointed and I had to call them to find out that they could not get them out.

He was on time to do the cleaning. He was very professional while he was working. The quality of his work was really good. I would definitely recommend him.

John delivered my carpets on the day promised. I was very surprised when I inspected the white carpet. The rust stain was hardly visible. I was so excited about that result I immediately gave him two more to clean for me. I am very happy with the result, and I cannot wait to place them on my new hardwood floors.

The only complaint I had was that I thought the prices were a little bit high and they were going to make me pay extra to clean the edges of the carpet. They were very thorough in their work.

WE ARE VERY PLEASED. THE CARPETS LOOK, FEEL AND SMELL CLEANER THAN THEY DID WHEN CLEANED BY OTHER AGENCIES. THE INK SPOT WAS OLD AND JOHN WAS VERY UPFRONT ABOUT THE DAMAGE THAT HAD BEEN DONE AND THE LIKELIHOOD OF REMOVING IT COMPLETELY.

I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM. THEY CLEANED THE CARPETS BETTER THAN ANYONE I HAVE EVER HAD. THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES I WOULD EVER USE, THEY ARE FANTASTIC.

JOHN MAKES CARPETS LOOK ABSOLUTELY BRAND NEW BY ACTUALLY SHAMPOOING THE CARPETS. MY TIRED OLD CARPETS TOTALLY SURPRISED ME WHEN HE FINISHED. AND JOHN IS A GREAT GUY TOO.

I HAVE USED JOHN (OWNER OR REMARKABLE DIFFERENCE) FOR APPROXIMATELY 12 YEARS. I HAD TRIED MANY COMPANIES BEFORE THAT AND JOHN IS THE ONLY ONE THAT I TRUSTED IN MY HOME MORE THAN ONCE AND ALWAYS DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. HIS COMPANY DOES CARPETS, UPHOLSTERY AND AUTOMOBILE INTERIORS. HE IS NOT AS CHEAP AS SOME CONTRACTORS, BUT I LEARNED YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
