I called on a Monday and Buddy was able to come out the following day. He carefully listened to my observations about what the dryer was doing, thoroughly investigated, and diagnosed the problems. He had the needed part and was able to make the repair immediately. Highly recommend.

The guy came out, replaced the circuit board and did a great job. I would definitely use him again and I would highly recommend him.

Buddy was professional, courteous, and prompt. He fixed our washing machine quickly and he seemed to know what he was doing. I would highly recommend.

None of my friends had a good recommendation for appliance repair, so I chose L & M Appliance Service from Angie's List after reading the positive reviews.
My 14 yr old Kitchen Aid dishwasher started to make a very loud noise while washing. I absolutely love my Kitchen Aid, after 14 years it still does a fabulous job of washing even tough heavy loads. It also is great at drying the dishes too! 
However, I have had 2 floods from problems associated with this dishwasher, so I am realistic about expectations with an aging machine. Buddy took apart the main interior spray assembly, to make sure that there wasn't something caught in the disposal/drain/motor part of the dishwasher. He did this before running it to make sure that the noise wasn't just something gumming up the works. There actually were a few plastic chunks and a tea bag that he pulled out.  
When the dishwasher was turned on the extremely loud noise was still there. Buddy diagnosed that the noise was coming from the main motor and would need to be replaced. There was also a strip of rubber that was out of place that would need to be replaced. He had initially warned me that a gummed up motor would be a better outcome than a broken motor. The motor would be an expensive repair given the age of the machine. After he called to make sure that he could get both parts and to give me  an estimate on the repair, we discussed the future of a repaired, 14 year old machine. I decided to pass on the repairs and start looking for a new Kitchen Aid dishwasher.
He left me with a few tips, knowing that I would be looking for another Kitchen Aid.
He was prompt, polite, patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful.
I couldn't have asked for a better Angie's List experience. And...on St. Patrick's Day!

Our dishwasher was leaking and Buddy was able to come out on the next day. He identified the problem, had the part available and was able to fix quickly. He also noticed that our dishwasher was accumulating some sludge from an old powder we were using. He cleaned it out for no charge and our dishes are much cleaner! Great job will definitely use L&M again.

Great service. I wanted to find a solo appliance repair person that would take pride in work he did. Well I found that person and am very pleased with the work he did.

Showed up on time as expected. Called ahead when he was on his way.

I don't remember when or how I found Buddy at Land M Appliance Service, but I think it was about 20 years ago. Since then, he has become my go-to person for any appliance work. Besides the fact that his rates are better than any one else's, Buddy is very honest and competent.
He will go the extra mile to make repairs even if it means he has to hunt far and wide for parts. On the other hand, because he's so honest, he'll tell you if you're better off replacing the appliance. On his most recent visit to minister to my sad, 23-year-old fridge, he pointed out that we were fortunate the problem was a blower motor. He called around and found the part, and fixed it. When Buddy fixes it, it stays fixed!
I cannot recommend Buddy and Land M highly enough.

My dishwasher was leaking and Buddy came out in one day to fix it. It had leaked all over the kitchen floor and down to our finished basement below. He came in and diagnosed it within minutes. I did not even want to turn it back on due to fears of it flooding again. He calmly explained that he would make sure it would be alright and not flood. Buddy was awesome! He had the repair completed within 30 minutes. Buddy was very professional and affordable. I will definitely use L and M Appliance Service again.

In January 2014 our expensive 18 month old dishwasher decided to drain itself onto the floor instead of through the attached hose. We thought it might be a bad hose connection so we called a plumber, who was very nice, charged $300 to replace a handle under the sink, and said the dishwasher wasn't a plumbing issue. I called KitchenAid, they gave me the names of 2 companies to call for repairs but these companies were more interested in selling me an extended warranty. I wasn't impressed with this 'service'.
After reviewing customers' comments and ratings on Angie's List and the Washington Checkbook, I decided to call Land M Appliance Service. The owner, Buddy, came to check the dishwasher about a week later. He said the dishwasher needed a new pump and motor, he ordered the parts the same day, and installed them a week later. He was very professional, nice to work with, and his fees were reasonable. He notified us well in advance of arrival times and was very thorough and attentive to the work he was doing, including a follow up visit the day after the repair to make sure everything was working correctly.
I will definitely call Buddy first if any of our other appliances need some attention.

Service was excellent in every respect. Buddy promptly returned my call after I left him a message about our inoperative washing machine. He set up a time for the following afternoon. He called 30 minutes prior to the appointment to say he was en route. Unfortunately, I was stuck in traffic and unable to get home in time to meet him. But not to worry--others were at home to let him in. Within a few minutes, Buddy called to inform me the nature of the problem at what it would cost to fix. He then completed the job, called me back on the cell phone, and took my credit card over the phone. He left the receipt and replaced part for me. It was a pleasure doing business with him. I was sorry I didn't get to thank him in person for his professionalism.

I couldn't have been more pleased. Buddy came exactly when he said he would, and in short order replaced a part that was causing the clothes dryer to make a lot of noise. For good measure, he vacuumed out the lint that had gotten caught inside. He was very pleasant, a complete professional and even remembered he'd been to the house three years earlier for another repair. I would happily use them again.

Though we called on a weekend, and didn't expect a call back until Monday, we got a call back on Sunday to schedule a Monday apt. The gentleman came well prepared, with the part needed, on time, and was very professional and competent. The cost was less than what we expected. We highly recommend this company!
