Overall an outstanding experience. They did what they said they do when they said do it and they did a good job.

Paulo came promptly after I called and gave me an estimate.  It was higher than another price I had been given, but I had a better feeling about the professionalism of the company.  His father headed the crew who came right on schedule.  They were fast and efficient and I am pleased with their work.

I requested an estimate and was able to set up an appointment within 2 days.  After receiving 2 more estimates, I decided that JP Companies was the best value.  Their price was far more competitive, and I was told the project would be complete in one day.  Another contractor estimated a week for the same work.  I made my decision and I was able to set up the install for a week later. 

After some measurements, the workers excavated the site, set up the frame, let down the rebar, and removed all the excess dirt.  A concrete truck came, and within 2 hours, the patio and sidewalk were poured and finished with a wire brush.  I walked outside the next morning and it looked perfect.  

I was very pleased with every step of this process.  Paulo is a professional who offers a great value, and delivered a patio exactly like I wanted.  He worked with me to make sure it was perfect prior to excavation, and his men left my yard in great shape.  I would recommend their work to anyone looking for this work.

Paulo (owner) gives a very professional presentation.  He comes with electronic pictures of his work and a nice portfolio with a list of references which he leaves with you. He was on time for the estimate appointment and I received my bid within the week. He came on time on March 29 and did a great job. I would recommend him to others and would use him again.

Paulo (Company Vice-President) was great to deal. He was responsive from the beginning - followed up at every point. He did what he quoted for the exact price and on time. The whole process could not have been easier from start to finish.
The concrete pad makes my basement walkout area in the back yard and very usable space and looks very nice.

Paulo is an articulate, honest  and knowlegable contractor - several other contractors claimed to be able to do the job cheaper, however he took the time and effort to explain the cost breakdown and level of effort required to complete the task (the other companies who provided us estimates were all very sketchy on the details). Bottomline I went with this company because my gut told me this was an honest outfit that was honest with their estimate - I was not disappointed with my decision. The work proceeded promptly as promised with removal of the old  walkway, and pouring of the new slab, the next day work began on facing/framing the steps and walkway, work continued on the 3rd day and on the 4th day the work was completed.

They left our yard spotless, all trash and material was removed and area rinsed off. Our landscaping and plants were undisturbed.  The crew was courteous and hardworking and Paulo spent a great deal of time on site guiding their efforts. Throughout the process Paulo either spoke to me directly or sent me an email asking whether or not I was pleased with their progress and work - folks customer service is not dead!

Final product is outstanding, we are the envy of the neighborhood! I'm extremely happy with their workmanship and customer service - I highly recommend them, and will use JP Companies Inc again without hesitation.

Paulo was very professional.  The company showed up when they said they were going to be there.   They followed the plan that we had agreed to.   They did a terrific job!   We had no complaints, and  we would hire them again.

This is a class operation from beginning to end.  From the first contact with Mr. Nicolau it was clear JP Companies were going to be easy to work with on our project.  He listened to our concerns, including cost, and needs.  Then responded in a way you knew he was listening.   He thoroughly described our options and shared his professional opinions but he did not try a hard sell for the platinum option.  It was our decision.  Before the work began he walked us through all the stages: detailing the work to be done, the time needed, and the times it would be best for us to be there to approve the work.  He even worked with us as we made some modifications on the fly.  His masonry crew were professional and skilled.  They accomplished all the work on time and cleaned up all of the aftermath, including replanting a couple plants.

They did a super job an we couldn't be happier with the result.  The project was on time, professionally done and managed.  We would not hesitate to recommend JP Companies to family, friends and strangers.  Thanks to all at JP Companies for a great experience.

The vice-president, Paulo Nicolau, was the sales consultant and had numerous suggestions which were welcomed and needed to complete this work.  We were most impressed with their promptness, arriving on time, and completing the job within the estimated time frame.  We were likewise extremely pleased to see that Mr. Nicolau was present at the beginning of the job and throughout until completion.

This was a fairly complex job.  We talked through issues before we acted on anything unusual, thereby avoiding problems.  JP did the job in about 2 1/2 weeks without any "hitches."   They were cooperative and capable.  We have been very pleased with the whole job and the way it went.

The service JP Companies provided was exceptional from start to finish!   Paulo responded immediately to my request for a quote.  He provided me with a written quote via email and his price was very reasonable.   Paulo was very accomodating scheduling the work around the rainy weather we were experiencing in October.
Paulo's crew was very skilled; they worked quickly and did not leave any mess or debris behind.  My sidewalk now looks perfect!

I must say I had an excellent experience with JP Companies. This past November I contacted JP Companies to do a concrete patio and natural stonewall. I had a neighbor who used JP Companies and highly recommended them to me. The project went perfect. Paulo from JP Companies was excellent. JP Companies and its salesman Paulo, did a great job. They were very helpful from start to finish.  The project went smooth and before i knew it my new concrete driveway was complete.  It took them one day to remove and replace 540 SF of concrete, it was fantastic.  I am very satisfied with the work and I highly recommend JP Companies!!!

I was referred to JP Companies by a friend, and requested a quote from them for a concrete patio. They responded to my request quickly and an appointment was set up for the following day. After receiving the estimate from Paulo at JP Companies, I decided to use them for the job. The bottom line....JP Companies provided the best, and most fair price for the work provided, and surpassed all of my customer service expectations. From the first contact to the completion of the job, all questions were answered timely and accurately and the quality of concrete work was extraordinary.
I will be using them for all of my concrete and masonry needs in the future.

Overall this project went smooth.  I will say that having never had to do concrete repair stuff I was surprised at how expensive it seemed at first; however, once I saw what all goes into doing this type of repair, I get it.  And JP CO did an amazing job at making sure it all looked like new, even though part of the job was "polishing up" the old.  I also liked the fact that you deal with the same person from the estimate to the work starting (Mr. Nicolau) and he makes sure the crew does a good job.

Their work is stunning--I get compliments all the time!! And, based on a recent appraisal, the driveway rennovation has added $25k to the value of my home...a return on investment that far exceeded my expectations.

The salesman, Paulo, responded quickly to my call for an estimate and showed up on time for our appointment.  Once the contract was signed, JP Companies started work on the scheduled start date.  When I got home from work that day, my new stoop was installed and my yard was clean.  JP Companies took care to disrupt as little of my flower beds and grass as possible.  They came back a few days later to remove the concrete forms and filling in the area on the sides of the stoop.

I called they scheduled a day the same week to come out and give me a free estimate. The estimator was right on time and explained the whole process to me and I signed the contract and they came out and did the job the next week. I was really please with the job they did and how clean they left everything....

We were extremely pleased from beginning to end.  The person who came out for the sales call was our primary contact throughout the process.  From the beginning, he seemed extremely knowledgeable and honest and offered ideas for how to accomplish what we were looking for.  We had cheaper estimates from other companies but we felt more confident in JP's ability to do the work at a high quality level.  They went out of their way to make sure we would be happy and met me at a stone yard to let me pick out the stone.  They were also extremely responsive to questions and work started on the project quickly.  The work was done while we were on vacation but they gave us updates on how work was progressing when we were gone.  In the end, the patio looked amazing so we couldn't be happier.

The overall project went phenomenal! JP Companies was quick to respond to my phone call about getting a free estimate for my concrete patio. Their salesman, who was very polite & professional, returned my call almost immediately & made an appointment to see the property the next day!  I had an idea of what I wanted done but wasn't sure about the brick border as I thought it might look mundane & I am all about originality! After speaking with JP's salesman, Paulo, he explained to me all the different options (size, shape, color, etc.) for the border & that helped a lot with the design for the patio/brick border. 

The workmen were very professional & mannerly, I really appreciated that as I live in a set of town homes & did not want my neighbors to be disturbed.   The job was performed in one day & they left my backyard spotless! 

The patio itself looks great! A year later & I am still getting compliments from my family & neighbors & I have referred JP Companies to most of them.  I am EXTREMELY satisfied with the work performed by this company & am looking to have more work done by them in the future.  I've dealt with other concrete/construction companies before & none are comparable.  The service was unbeatable & the price was reasonable. Two thumbs up & five stars for this company!!

The job went well. The overall look of the new walls and the patio areas is very nice. The borders of the concrete pavers are cut to the contours of the new walls, the wooden deck, and the house walls that they touch. Some of the workers were true artisans who took as much time as they needed to cut the stones for the wall, and the concrete pavers, properly to get the curves that I requested. The job was fixed-price, so this careful work was built into the agreement from the beginning. This was a weekend job supervised by Nick. Before the work began, I showed Nick pictures of the look that I wanted, and he showed me samples of stone and samples of pavers. The final result is very close to what I anticipated.

The work went well. They arrived when scheduled, responded to concerns, and came back to replace some bricks broken when the railing was installed. The work took a lot longer than originally estimated. The finished product is very attractive. The cost was in line with other estimates.
