I had two separate transactions with them. First transaction: a small part of my roof is connected to other townhomes. They told me that the plywood that runs under the shingles that's connected to the adjoining property was rotten and it needs to be changed. They used the shingles I had purchased to replace my neighbor's and collected money from them. They didn't change the plywood. Second, they were also supposed to change the roof for an detached garage. When I called to ask when that work would be completed, one of the brothers said, "I'm sick of talking to you." ....and this was my second conversation with him. Needless to say the second transaction was canceled right away.

It went very well . They contacted before hand in order to let us know when they are going to start the work . They had to replace some wood underneath and they didn't charge that . It took them almost two days to finish the work due to weather but they did a nice job and they cleaned afterwards.

I asked them to check thte condition of the roof. They could have sold me a new one, but said it only needed minor repairs and would last many more years. I appreciated their honesty and professionalism.

We are very pleased with the finished condition of our roof. The contractor, in discovering that some of the slate tiles did not match what had already been installed, put a hold on the project until more matching tile could be delivered. We weren't happy with the delay but were very happy with their decision. The only issue we had is that the crew often arrived very early to begin hammering away which was disruptive to late working family members and some neighbors, especially on the weekends. We did find assorted debris from nails to pieces of slate tile around the property even after they cleaned up. Some pieces are still being found. But I think this can be expected in a job this large. We would definitely consider them for other projects around the house.

I helped the guy that did the work because he's an idiot. He's sitting in there with a hair dryer because his boss told him you need to have a nobody speaks English but my wife knows to speak with them. But they're really good and it's all relative but he's a fucking thief and he doesn't do the work he cares only about they money. First he tells that he's gonna send in this guy that he bring with him because he'll show up at the place, he'll show up to cut the deal and that is his one and only appearance. He doesn't know how to write a contract, they're pathetic. They're handwritten and he doesn't wanna spend money to have somebody written it. It's hand done and there's typos everywhere. In terms of follow up he miss everything you could imagine. The whole thing was stretched out over a longer period of time.

They did a great job.
It was a very hot week, with a heatwave, about 95 or more every day. They showed up about 7 am every morning for 5-7 days and a crew worked through the day until about 5 or 6.
The roof looks excellent. Many neighbors have said it is one of the best looking roofs in the neighborhood. The guys were dilligent and did not make a mess. They also coordinated with the insulation company and the gutter company.
We pointed to a few problem areas on the house that were not necessarily related to GCI and GCI quickly fixed the issues without a big bill or a big discussion about how the problem arose (for example, a few rotten fascia boards where it was not clear whether the painter or the roofer should have handled it). I wish I had used them for more stuff in the past and will plan to call them in the future.

The upper rear gutter was damaged in the fall when a tree fell on the roof. The recommendation was to replace the gutter and downspout with larger ones to help facilitate the passing of water, leaves, etc. The wood underneath was rotted so that was replaced as well. The replaced wood needed to be painted and we asked if they would paint it for us because the roof is 3 stories off the ground. They happily agreed to do so.

I had just bought the house and the previous owner had a satellite dish on the roof and had drilled a hole directly into the roof to run the cables without sealing properly. Therefore, there was a large hole letting a lot of water through. GCI was the second company I called, the first company was non-reponsive and unprofessional, therefore I was already frustrated with the situation. However, GCI was the opposite of that first company and came to the rescue. They gave me an estimate over the phone, came out the next day and fixed the repair immediately (thankfully because we were getting massive amounts of rain that week) and removed the satellite dish. Then, not only did they fix the hole, but they also saw that my roof flushing was in poor condition and they installed new flushing and re-sealed it WITHOUT raising their estimate price!!! Both GCI people that I dealed with were pleasant and professional, Joseph the estimator on the phone and the roofer that came out to do the job. Wonderful experience! Definitely recommend them!
