This is a disreputable company that did a bait and switch on the deal I selected! I was working with Arthur to schedule the move (1 bedroom move 2 miles to another house). After we discussed the date Arthur came back and told me there is a non-negotiable "arrival" fee of $140 in addition to the $360. No where in the deal that I claimed did it mention an additional charge, and I would not have selected them if it was $500. Additionally, Arthur wanted me to use only 2 movers (since it was a small amount) despite the fact that I had claimed a "3 movers for 3 hours" deal. Needless to say, I will not work with this company! Beware!!

FANTASTIC! These guys are the best. They were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, careful, and hardworking. My move took several days to complete, and the owner and all the employees who were at my home were always on time and handled my belongings with care. They stayed late when necessary to complete the job on time. We have 2 cats, and they were very tolerant of them and made sure they did not get outside while they moved items out. There were times when my wife was alone in the house with the owner and his employees, and she and I felt completely safe doing so. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Arthur Arko Moving.

I hired Arko based on their positive reviews and their "3 workers and a truck for 4 hours at $500" deal on Angie's List. The work ended up taking closer to 6 hours, and after $100 mileage/gas/arrival fee, 4% credit card fee, and some additional packing materials, the total cost ended up being $998. This was in no way due to dishonesty on their part, though; it has more to do with my failure to estimate how much work was involved! All in all, I still think I got a great deal. These guys helped me wrap my furniture better than I knew how, and they loaded a 16-foot POD shipping container more efficiently than seemed possible. They play a mean game of Tetris, and there is actually enough free space left in the container that I may load some extra pieces of furniture that I thought I would have to sell. I would recommend!

The rate was very good; the movers were lightning quick, funny and professional. They waste no time and are very fast drivers and they give text updates when they are 15 min away, and even 3 minutes away which I appreciate. Even though they are in Virginia, they didn't upcharge me for the extra distance to Annapolis . Will definitely use again in the future if I need a move.

My impression was, they don't want to communicate through Angie's List and want me to communicate separate e-mail through Angie's List. They want to bill me for a arrival fee and don't want to honnor the coupon.

First of all, we never did not tell you that we will not honor the coupon, we are not affiliated in any way, shape or form with angie's list, they are only advertising. It is uncomfortable for us to communicate trough a 3rd party for those reasons we asked you for your email. The coupon we advertise on angie's list is $50 discount for our regular hour rate from a 3 hour minimum and another $100 off the arrival and discharge fees, in total you are getting $150 in discounts, I am not sure what exactly we did not honor. More than that, we have sent you all the possible charges and fees that you can possibly encounter if they will or not happen. We have talked on a few occasion over the phone, I have explained you that you are all set and in the calendar, it is a matter of time for you to get the email. After it took me almost the whole day due to an employee emergency, and I did explain you in a private email, I have sent you the confirmation email, and only then you have told us that you do not want to honor the coupon that you engage into, not us. No Show at 2pm. Called at 5pm and was told it was my fault that we didn't provide the address. Then Arthur realized he was wrong and found the address. The movers showed up at 7pm, without hand trucks or any tools. I supplied the tools, and one of them grumbled about moving the refrigerator and having to take the door off. Boorish and abusive- I made a joke about beer and the mover called me a sclomo other eastern European epithets. While onsite, they were otherwise pleasant and happy to do the moving- finished an hour early and left at 9pm in a hurry.

These guys were so AMAZING from start to finish that I had to write a review immediately. In setting up the appointment, Arthur was extremely responsive. On the day of the move, it was professionalism at its best from the minute the crew contacted me to tell me they were on their way. They very were accurate in the time they assessed it would take to complete the job. Then, the crew of three worked tirelessly to ensure the entire move went smoothly. Eder and Zhan were awesome, the temperature was mid 80's and the humidity was stifling. But both guys where always moving, literally running up 3 flights of stairs to get the next item. I purchased 2 movers for 3 hours and was expecting to have to prioritize which stuff to move to keep within that time. However they were moving so fast I got everything plus more loaded, moved and unloaded in just over 2 hours! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick and careful movers.

Moving is such a stressful time, but Arthur made it painless. Compared to our other quotes, Arko, was by far the cheapest. Arthur was up front about the pricing and reviewed it all before he started. He and his crew came on time and worked quickly and efficiently. He had me check each room, both packing and unpacking to make sure I was satisfied with their work. Courteous, professional, easy scheduling, attention to detail, and superior work, Arko Moving checks all the boxes. (pun intended). Will recommend to all family, friends,... strangers. I am very happy with my experience. With just about a week's notice, I booked Arko to load a lot of heavy furniture from two houses near each other, and move them into my house which are approximately 45 miles apart (and move an existing bed from 2nd floor to basement). I used the deal for 3 men/3 hr/22 ft truck. The men were prompt and extremely polite, told me in advance what they were doing, gave me options, and wrapped and handled everything with care. It ultimately took longer than I had hoped, but that was not due to the workmen. Arthur was very responsive in planning everything. There were some miscommunications during that process, but everything got worked out. I would definitely use them again.

Everything went fine except when attempting to back into our driveway, the rear of the truck gouged two holes in my newly re paved driveway. There were 3 guys in the truck, one should have been directing the driver from the rear but they were all just sitting in the truck cab.

We had 12 pices of furniture picked up at our mothers house in Fairfax, 10 taken to our house in Chantilly, and 2 taken to my daughters house in Reston. They showed upon time, moved the furniture without damaging anything, and finished within the time window.

They were very rushed and dinged a couple of pieces of my furniture. Also, their truck broke down at the first house and I had to jump them with my car to get them to the second house. They also promised me one fee for the extra mileage on the phone and then tried to get me to pay a higher fee later

First of all thank you also for using Arko moving in the past, and we would greatly help you out in the future, things do happen, specially we spent so much time disassembling that office desk that you guys were supposed to disassemble, at least that was the phone conversation. When we brought everything to your new house, you were still ongoing a full house renovation, and we had to put things not in exactly places they were supposed to go since you had plenty of workers in there. Regarding the mileage price, we have different offers from different sites, and that thing might of happen, but as soon you mention Angie's List we know what the offer is and we definitely keep our word in that matter. ARKO was amazing! We’ve had such bad experiences with other moving companies in the past, so it was refreshing to have a good company that wants to do the job right.
