I highly recommend ARKO Moving if you're looking for a reliable moving company in DC and MD! I discovered this company through a friend's recommendation. Before committing, I reviewed their feedback and noticed some negative reviews about the movers. Concerned, I discussed these with Arthur, the owner of ARKO Moving. He kindly explained that these issues usually arose from logistical oversights, such as not reserving the elevator or securing the loading dock for truck parking. On moving day, all my worries disappeared. The movers exceeded my expectations in every way. Arthur and my friend were absolutely right about the quality of service. My move from College Park to DC took only 2.5 hours, which was much quicker than I expected. The movers even arrived at my new place earlier than I did. I was particularly impressed by how kind and professional the movers were. ARKO Moving offers exceptionally reasonable prices and top-notch service. I can confidently say that choosing ARKO Moving will make your move much easier and stress-free.

The owner (Artur) ultimately forced us to leave this review due to his incompetence and stubbornness. The actual movers were very nice, however we ended up paying a lot more due to owner’s mistakes and horrible attitude. Artur clearly does not know how to manage his business. AVOID at all costs! Initially I booked my move with another company and had a quote of $450 from them for my tiny 1 bedroom. This was perfectly acceptable for me. Artur (the owner of ARKO) reached out to my husband over the phone and offered to beat the price, he was very persuasive and promised us a lower cost, so we agreed to proceed with ARKO instead of my initial $450 booking. On the day of our move Artur COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT US, and only sent movers 3 hours late. The worst part is that the truck was oversized and didn’t fit the loading dock! His excuse was that this only happens 5% of times, so he fails to see an issue here. Because of that it took our movers THREE hours just to load the truck for a tiny 1 bedroom. After the move was over we were charged $870. We were quoted twice less with other companies! Artur then called my husband and spent 30 minutes explaining how none of it was his fault. The owner never apologized, never owned up his mistakes and never beat the price of other companies. Very disappointing experience and horrible customer service.

FANTASTIC! These guys are the best. They were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, careful, and hardworking. My move took several days to complete, and the owner and all the employees who were at my home were always on time and handled my belongings with care. They stayed late when necessary to complete the job on time. We have 2 cats, and they were very tolerant of them and made sure they did not get outside while they moved items out. There were times when my wife was alone in the house with the owner and his employees, and she and I felt completely safe doing so. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Arthur Arko Moving.

I hired Arko based on their positive reviews and their "3 workers and a truck for 4 hours at $500" deal on Angie's List. The work ended up taking closer to 6 hours, and after $100 mileage/gas/arrival fee, 4% credit card fee, and some additional packing materials, the total cost ended up being $998. This was in no way due to dishonesty on their part, though; it has more to do with my failure to estimate how much work was involved! All in all, I still think I got a great deal. These guys helped me wrap my furniture better than I knew how, and they loaded a 16-foot POD shipping container more efficiently than seemed possible. They play a mean game of Tetris, and there is actually enough free space left in the container that I may load some extra pieces of furniture that I thought I would have to sell. I would recommend!

The service went well, friendly movers, showed up on time. I thought that it would take less time to complete but i already factored that in my initial estimating.

Very professional

The rate was very good; the movers were lightning quick, funny and professional. They waste no time and are very fast drivers and they give text updates when they are 15 min away, and even 3 minutes away which I appreciate. Even though they are in Virginia, they didn't upcharge me for the extra distance to Annapolis . Will definitely use again in the future if I need a move.

I've used ARKO three times now. They are fantastic. This most recent move I had them pack for me. I'm very meticulous and not a single thing got broken. I will continue to use them in the future!

No Show at 2pm. Called at 5pm and was told it was my fault that we didn't provide the address. Then Arthur realized he was wrong and found the address. The movers showed up at 7pm, without hand trucks or any tools. I supplied the tools, and one of them grumbled about moving the refrigerator and having to take the door off. Boorish and abusive- I made a joke about beer and the mover called me a sclomo other eastern European epithets. While onsite, they were otherwise pleasant and happy to do the moving- finished an hour early and left at 9pm in a hurry.

These guys were so AMAZING from start to finish that I had to write a review immediately. In setting up the appointment, Arthur was extremely responsive. On the day of the move, it was professionalism at its best from the minute the crew contacted me to tell me they were on their way. They very were accurate in the time they assessed it would take to complete the job. Then, the crew of three worked tirelessly to ensure the entire move went smoothly. We are all moved in and we only have great things to say about them. Thank you guys so much for all your hard work!!

Everything went great. I looked them up here, on Angie's List and they had great reviews. They held up to those reviews. They came within the time window they promised, were very efficient, fast and professional. I would highly recommend them.

ARKO is a very responsive company that provides a good product at a great price

Eder and Zhan were awesome, the temperature was mid 80's and the humidity was stifling. But both guys where always moving, literally running up 3 flights of stairs to get the next item. I purchased 2 movers for 3 hours and was expecting to have to prioritize which stuff to move to keep within that time. However they were moving so fast I got everything plus more loaded, moved and unloaded in just over 2 hours! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick and careful movers.

Moving is such a stressful time, but Arthur made it painless. Compared to our other quotes, Arko, was by far the cheapest. Arthur was up front about the pricing and reviewed it all before he started. He and his crew came on time and worked quickly and efficiently. He had me check each room, both packing and unpacking to make sure I was satisfied with their work. Courteous, professional, easy scheduling, attention to detail, and superior work, Arko Moving checks all the boxes. (pun intended). Will recommend to all family, friends,... strangers. Perfect. Showed up when they said they would. They were very respectful of our things. They were fast and efficient and finished earlier than what I expected. I can't say enough nice things about Arko Moving.

It went so smooth! They came in and got to it right away while i signed papers...they even set up my bed and frame an helped me with some furniture i had delivered the same day!! These guys are amazing! I was referred to them by a friend and i will definitely recommend them to everyone i know.

They were very rushed and dinged a couple of pieces of my furniture. Also, their truck broke down at the first house and I had to jump them with my car to get them to the second house. They also promised me one fee for the extra mileage on the phone and then tried to get me to pay a higher fee later

Everything went fine except when attempting to back into our driveway, the rear of the truck gouged two holes in my newly re paved driveway. There were 3 guys in the truck, one should have been directing the driver from the rear but they were all just sitting in the truck cab.

I am very happy with my experience. With just about a week's notice, I booked Arko to load a lot of heavy furniture from two houses near each other, and move them into my house which are approximately 45 miles apart (and move an existing bed from 2nd floor to basement). I used the deal for 3 men/3 hr/22 ft truck. The men were prompt and extremely polite, told me in advance what they were doing, gave me options, and wrapped and handled everything with care. It ultimately took longer than I had hoped, but that was not due to the workmen. Arthur was very responsive in planning everything. There were some miscommunications during that process, but everything got worked out. I would definitely use them again.
