Punctual, courteous, honest. Worked very hard and when something came up that would cause concern, Vlad would immediately contact one of us and describe the issue and recommend a solution. Once settled, he would go directly to correcting the issue. Can't say enough about their work and patience with us when we became concerned over things that we knew little of.
Took measurement.
Began removing all tile, mirror, lights, etc. (we asked them to paint the walls and ceilings as well.
Began surfacing and preparing floor and shower - found mold behind shower wall. Called chimney repair where leak had
been going on for sometime and had that fixed. work on shower had to be halted. Vlad rearranged things so other areas
would be worked while waiting for repair.
Completed tile in all areas. (Vlad assisted us in choosing tiles for MBath and we obtained a discount through his company).
Always cleaned up after themselves leaving a clean area inside and out.
Returned to finish putting in other items once vanity top was installed.Replaced all items including new door knobs, lighting, etc.
I've have been very very pleased with all of the jobs that Step-by-Step Remodeling has done for me. I always receive a quote prior to the work being preformed. And the quote is right on target without any hidden expenses. They arrive on time, and stay until the work is completed. They take special care to ensure any dust, dirt, or mess does not go outside of the work area, and once the job is completed, the work area is cleaned as well. We got several bids and felt that overall, Vlad was offering the best value (price versus expected quality). We liked the fact that he was the one performing all the steps: understanding the project requirements, providing the price offer and doing the actual work, as opposed to all the other contractors we got bids from, where we would not have known who would do the actual work until the project started.
Our project required Vlad to repair a rotten wall, put stone on a fireplace and the wall surrounding the fireplace, widen a landing, move a door, put hardwood floors and paint the basement. He also replaced the flooring in our kitchen.
All went very well. Vlad arrived promptly on the day he said he would start the project and every day afterwards. He was easy to work with, quick to understand our desires and implement them. He has a lot of experience and therefore comes up with creative solutions to issues that almost always arise during such a project. He is detail oriented and does quality work. He also cleaned up as much as possible at the end of each day and very thoroughly at the end.
Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and are glad to have chosen Vlad.
