Started ok-thought there would be a bigger crew for the job but only ever 2 workers on-site. Gave me quotes for jobs which I paid but would complain about costs of materials going up. This was 2021-2022. I have all communications from them if you want to know how things happened. Too much for here. The biggest thing was after many tens of thousands had been paid I needed and wanted a trex railing system put up. He picked up a 9530. Check from me August 4 am. Told me he had a 10 AM. appointment with Capps to order my railings. Texted next day saying the lady at Capps told him the supplies would be in in 3-4 days. A week later I call Capps to check on order and they could not find. Contractor texted he did not order from there because prices were fluctuating too much. And then it was just excuse after excuse. For Months. Until finally he tells me he kept the money because he feels I owed him More. Tried to fix this and got same run around for months. Finally he texts me I can have the supplies he has for me and he will give a check for what’s left. Well today I got my supplies- 10 packs of trex serene rail kits. Never any receipts for any jobs. The kits cost about 1300$ I gave him 9000. Specifically for the rail system.these are not enough for the whole job. I need more posts- posts sleeves, aprons and caps, a gate. A stair kit. I have his text stating he would give me a check for the remainder- no check. I was also quoted a price for my gazebo total job. Inside and out. After work started on it- I was told it was not enough for him to do the inside. So he didn’t. But I paid for it. The kicker is- I was going to order a gazebo kit from gateway gazebos that’s was a complete job. Inside walls- lights- a tv and dvr. They said they could do better for a higher price - and I ended up with a room still not finished. No railings. The sad thing is he totally led me to believe he was taking that money and purchasing my railings Then strung me along. Do I like the work that was done? Yes. I do. It’s nice.
