Plus Construction

The contractor who came to my house did a horrible job. The work was started in May. Later on, he did not come in June on a regular basis and I haven?t seen him since then. Four weeks ago, he promised to be in and told that the job would be completed in 2 days. He gutted 3 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms in May. The price that I paid him was just a portion of the contracted amount. We filled out a contract first. He came in and started the work later. He started showing up on one or two days a week and then he just disappeared totally. He came back to me and said that he had another job for about 30000 $ at another place. Although, I was not contracted to pay him more money, he said that if I gave him $1500 for materials then he could finish the job. So I gave him another $1500 He and one more guy were there for 3 hours and left by saying that he is going to get some parts. I went to his house, which is the licensed recorded address several times. I talked to his children a couple of times and now nobody answers the door. I also called his phone number may be a 100 times. Since then, over this last week I have been getting new bids. We found out that the bathrooms were being changed from standard to handicapped with open showers and wheelchair accessible showers. The floors slope away from the drain and the drain is higher than the floor which doesn?t help well for the drainage. The first two days he came in with 6 people like a swarm of bees and finished before he was supposed to. The last 2 contractors that have come out have told me all sorts of stuff. They showed me one spot on the floor where the bathroom floor bends which is not attached to the drain. I have talked to my attorney regarding the problem that I had with Plus Construction and I have also filed some complains. I will never hire him again in the future.
