Install culverts/Driveway The work was never done.

Met with Mr. Douglas on our project site several times. He was very friendly and committed to do our project in 6-8 weeks. He provided a quote which we accepted. I offered to give him a deposit but he said he would get that 2 weeks before he started. He provided a start date and 2 weeks prior to that I contacted him to give him our deposit. He said to mail it to him. As it was a significant amount I said I would rather meet with him and give him the check and would do so whenever and wherever it was convenient for him. He said he would call me back. He proceeded to completely ghost me. I was concerned he had gotten seriously ill or injured and used all means possible to try to contact him. No response then or since. I spoke with a local attorney in Montross and mentioned my experience with Mr. Douglas. He told me I was fortunate that I didn?t give him the deposit as there were other people who were trying to get their deposit back from him. Mr. Douglas is not a man of his word.

Very friendly, easy to work with, spot on job skills! I have other projects to do and will call them when I decide to prioritize them.

Ron came and knocked down a few trees for the project and never came back. We paid him $16,000 to start the project and he pocketed the monies and never ordered or delivered or assembled a single stick of lumber etc, as we contracted for. Ron never started the building project. After a few attempts to get a status he stopped returning my emails and I have not heard from him in over 6 months. It is a shame, he did other work for us very satisfactorily and my wife and I are very easy people to work with and not overbearing or pushy in any way. It is also a shame that we had two other bids on the contract and they missed out on a potential job because of Ron broken promises. Update: 1/20/2021 Ron paid back the sum of money that was agree by myself and HomeAdvsior.

They were honest in their estimate and quality and delivered on time.

Ronald Douglas responded very quickly to our request and we hired him to build a kayak storage area off our existing dock. He designed and built a very aesthetically pleasing wooden area for the kayaks. He did excellent work and always arrived at the site on time, and if he couldn't begin work due to circumstances beyond his control, he would call to keep us posted. Ronald is a pleasant person to do business with and I would not hesitate to recomment him.

Mr. Douglas responded to my request on the web site within 5 minutes, met with me at my convienence and gave me an excellent quote only 2 days later. He ordered all the material for my dock and asked for nothing up front. The entire job was completed within a week and is exactly what I wanted. I gladly recommended Mr. Douglas to two of my neighbors who also have dock/boathouse projects.

He is very good. He does excellent work.
