I had a good experience. They did the whole first floor of my home and they sanded all the floors down to the original wood, they restained all of the wood and then they refinished the stained wood with two coats of polyurethane. They also refinished the molding around so it was a fairly big job. It took them three days because it takes time for the stains and the coatings that they put down to fully dry. The quality was very high and the price was very good.

I called and asked if someone could come out and do a quote even before I closed on the house. Roggie met us over the house just a few hours later, measured, then we all went back to the store. Roggie helped us identify two different carpets (berber for basement and frisee for 1st and 2nd floors) and rubber gym flooring, we set the dates, and placed the orders for materials. Wow, that easy.
The carpet went in with no problems. A few doors didn't close (or dragged) after the installation because of the thickness of the new pad and carpet. The installers didn't offer to fix them...I wasn't sure if they should or not. For this I rated professionalism a bit lower. They arrived a bit later than expected and were therefore staying later than expected...I had to eventually rush them out so I could get home to the little ones and told them I would clean up and vaccuum the next day. I'm not complaining about this...they worked hard, but I didn't have the fortitude to stick around until every i had been dotted and t crossed.
We had a half-week delay in the installation of the rubber gym flooring. Not a big deal--Roggie kept me informed as to its progress, even when he was out of town for his daughter's graduation. I really appreciated his updates.
I scored professionalism lower because of this: when the rubber flooring was delivered the load was not well matched to the capacity of persons moving the load. I don't blame the delivery person for doing his job (although, he wasn't wearing a lifting belt and frankly should have refused to do the job himself!), I blame the warehouse who sent him out with this load...alone. An almost 450 lb roll of flooring for one person to move to a basement level...ridiculous expectation. Several of my neighbors watched in horror (as did I), but when I asked if I could call someone else to come help him, he said no. Note, this delivery was not without incident, but I choose not to detail the incident here--I have already spoken with Roggie and passed along a message to the warehouse through Roggie.
Well, the gym flooring went in without a hitch. And, the installers fixed the door that wouldn't close/open due to the new carpet. They rolled and stored the extra flooring in my furnace room for me, which is a bonus. If I either want to add more rubber floor to my gym to make it bigger or need to replace it, I have plenty left to do so. Also, I was really not sure what to expect in terms of the carpet-rubber flooring transition. It looks GREAT. I am so impressed with how good it looks--and we picked really good fleck colors for the rubber floor that match the carpet perfectly.
I wondered if I was paying too much for the gym flooring given I installed it at my old house for a fraction of the cost--but due to the challenges (the heaviness of the roll, the industrial adhesives, and the carpet-rubber transition) I really wanted it professionally done. And boy was it pricy--about as much as carpet for the three floors. But in the end, I didn't really have to lift a finger, was satisfied with the work, the guys were all nice, and altogether just a good experience.
Thanks! Would recommend. Would use again.

I used them a long time ago, too. They put in stuff for me before.

I liked them. I got a good price - I got my tiles on sale!

I just go over there. They are real close; they are just 10 minutes away. They did it in two days instead of one so I could move lots of stuff around down there. They were very accommodating.

Very Well. We have been doing business with Quality Carpet One for over twenty years and have yet to be disappointed. They provide quality products at very competitive prices and work hard to please. The salesman was very help, was on-time for the measurement appointment, and was responsive to all inquiries. The installation crew was very professional and took care to make sure the job was done correctly and the work site left clean. Quality Carpet One also has a life-time warranty on their installations and as part of the installation call also removed a bulge that had developed over time in one of the bedrooms.

They did an excellent job for me in my wood floors. They did not pressure me, and they gave me an estimate. We actually depreciated down on price. They made an amazingly gorgeous floor. I love their service.

Day TWO: One of the major areas to be repaired was in the high traffic hallway into the kitchen. GREAT - a high traffic area not as strong as the rest of the floor? The area by the front door was repaired/replaced. The area by the addition was installed while I crawled around looked for cracks/flaws/nail holes, etc. They filled the areas with putty and eventually just gave us a ball of putty so we could fill them ourselves. Several gaps were found between the floor and quarter round. Within two days after the installation, a call was made to Carpet One to ask them to come and make repairs. On May 4th, the supervisor came and and quot;assessedand quot; over 15 areas of concern (cracking, gaps, splinters, etc.) and discuss the major squeaks in the kitchen (which were in the EXACT same location where they hammered some screws into the floor). Why did they install boards that had splinters, cracks and flaws? I also expressed my concerns about the workmanship of the installers at that time. I was convinced, by the supervisor, to ignore most of my concerns because if they made the repairs now, after installation, the floor wasn't as strong, could warp, etc. Also, he said the sales rep was wrong and they don't address squeaks. I said it was printed and he told me no. He also told me that they do NOT go into crawlspaces to screw into the sub floor from beneath to minimize the squeaks (which is what should be done). NO crawl space for them but if I wanted to rip up the floor in the kitchen, I could use my extra wood but if I didn't have enough, I would have to pay for more (in only a week after install). I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said, and quot;I am the supervisor.and quot; We have had work done on our hardwoods 3 more times. Front door wouldn't close, popped quarter round in several areas, floor boards replaced in 3 different areas. NOW, we have a HUGE buckle in the floor where they replaced the boards during the installation, in the hallway into the kitchen (the high traffic area). ALL of the floor boards are and quot;cuppingand quot; and every place they have and quot;repairedand quot; the boards, they are buckling (to a lesser extent that by the kitchen). We have another area of our first floor that has hardwood, previously installed that is NOT cupping. I called Carpet One, I waited to make an appointment with the Supervisor, he came on Oct. 9, 2012 and said the cupping was humidity in the house and asked if I had the wood to replace the buckling area by the kitchen. If not, I would have to buy more. I knew the humidity would their and quot;outand quot; for their liability, so I had been monitoring the humidity for weeks, averaging ~ 40-50%. He stated that my home should be less than 35% humidity (in VA????). Air quality experts say 30-60%. I said I want to call in the manufacturer. On Nov. 7, 2012 the Armstrong flooring rep. came and inspected along with Carpet One Supervisor (who was 45 minutes late). On Dec. 12, 2012 we received a letter stating that it is not a warranted issue. Now we have a hardwood floor that is less than a year old and that we paid over $8000.00 for, and I don't trust Carpet One to TOUCH it. Now we will be out even MORE money to repair the buckling and may even have to refinish the ENTIRE floor due to the cupping. DO NOT USE CARPET ONE! To sum it up, Carpet One has false advertising, miscommunication from the sales rep, poor quality of workmanship and and quot;no-serviceand quot; service.

It was a satisfactory experience. Although we got a good carpet at a good price, the customer service was not particularly impressive. The salesmen at the store was just minimally helpful in assisting us choose a carpet. Then he was hours late to the appointment to measure our room for the installation. Next, the carpet took longer than expected -- more than two weeks -- to be ordered and delivered. Still, we were basically satisfied and would purchase carpet there again in the future.

They came out for an hour and I had to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a very small repair. They had more work when they came second time when compared to the first time. The quality of work was fine. Only the workers were professional. They were quick. They did the job. If they found a problem they discussed it with me and I was pleased with that. I would never use them again in the future.

We were referred to them by our insurance company. I did not actually choose them but they were fine. They were very prompt and attentive. I worked with Mark Brady and he was very good at helping me make a good choice. We have small children and we were interested in berber and he said it was not a wise choice with small kids. It was good advice. The installation went well. The only negative thing was a portion of a built-in bookshelf came unattached from the wall. It was an accident but they were unable to fix it. Other than that they did a nice job and the carpet is laying nicely.

I had a great experience. Kathy measured the entire upstairs in an hour and had the estimate ready the following day. I ordered the carpet and set up an installation date for two weeks away. The carpet arrived ten days later and was installed on the date assigned. The installers were very careful moving the furniture and did no damage to the furniture or walls. They did a beautiful job of installing the carpet. I smile every time I get of bed in the morning as I put my feet on the plush carpet.

For the size of the project, outstanding. The installation team that included Mr. Kim and Mr. Kan worked quickly, efficiently, and where tireless. The language barrier was at times a bit bothersome but we always seemed to manage. They difinitely bend over backwards and aim to please. With a large project there are usually a few minor issues to be resolved; again, they have been diligent in following through on all punch list items. The only warning I would give is if you have a large project, they may not truly prepare you for what to expect. Although one of the managers came a few days early and did a walk through to help insure we had the house "prepped," he indicated they would start in one room and work from room to room. I thought I could then stage some things in rooms on the same floor. Doesn't work that way. While one or two is one room, others are in another room or more on the same floor -- all rooms on the same floor are in some state of flux. Had we known, we would have better staged things and moved them to other floors to get them out of the way -- althoug we had in most cases. The team put in long days and completed the job earlier than anticipated. They were polite and professional. I'm not sure what else you could ask for. We at first thought the price was a bit high (but it was top of the line). After getting one other estimate and talking to other companies, it seemed to be more reasonable than we initially thought. Friends and neighbors had warned us they didn't believe QCOne (Burke) had the best reputation. They obviously didn't have first hand knowledge, or possibly current knowledge.

The actual work and cost was reasonable. However, we did have a communications problem. We had requested a thick padding and the padding they brought out was not as thick as we would have liked. They did replace it with thicker padding though, and they got it installed just fine. Aside from the communication issue we were happy with them and would use them again.

We used them last fall and they were very good. They took out the old carpet and replaced it because it had water damage. I don't know right offhand the cost of their services. They were courteous. The price was reasonable. They did a professional job. Everything looked good. They met all the schedules that they set. We were pleased with the result.

Our first contact with Quality Carpet One was several days after a flood in our basement. Their insurance rep was pleasant on the phone, met with us in our home, brought samples, and explained the repair process. It was all downhill from there. Over the next month, there were unexplained delays, unanswered calls to the representative, and finally his admission that he had "dropped the ball." While I appreciated his honesty, I would have preferred a floor. Once installation finally began, the vinyl installers cut through the poly seal laid by our asbestos contractor to be able to lay the new floor along a seam in the pattern--specifically against the instructions provided to Quality Carpet One. When I called the insurance representative, he called back hours later and implied that I was mistaken in what I saw-- chunks of asbestos tile/mastic on my basement floor--and that his crew were experts and would never cut through a professional sealing of asbestos. Two days later, I got a weak apology and an assurance that it was "not a big problem." Once it was time to lay the carpet a week later, the installers who arrived spoke no English and had to contact a supervisor to call me to explain that the installation could not proceed as scheduled because of rain. The insurance representative had previously said that he'd send out "a big crew" and just move the existing furniture so that my husband and I didn't need to do a thing--yet another broken promise. Finally, on a Saturday morning two months after our initial contact with Quality Carpet One, our carpet was laid with a crew of five and the insurance rep on hand. I was thrilled to be rid of them and I wish my insurance hadn't paid them as much as they did.

We looked at 4-5 different places for carpet and finally decided on Carpet One since they had the style and pattern of carpet that we were looking for. Their price was also very competitive compared to the other places we looked. In terms of installation, it went very smooth and was done in a timely manner. The installers showed up on time and did a quality job. The basement looks amazing and we are VERY happy with the end product.

It took about 2 weeks from the time I placed the order to the actual installation (waiting for carpet to arrive, scheduling). The team, headed by Carlos, did a great job. Carlos double checked with me before doing anything to make sure it was what I wanted. He did an upgraded technique on all the stairs even though I had ordered it only for the landing step. They cleaned up thoroughly, removing all the old materials, and vacuumed the new carpet.

Very well. Before this job was started, we had a different painting contractor repaint all the walls and baseboards. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the workers did almost no damage to any of the paint on the walls where the carpet was laid. We only noticed a small chip on the wall in one of the bedrooms later. When the job was finished, the foreman carefully walked us through the entire job, room by room. Since we had given the store our credit card number during the 50% pre-payment, no money was collected by the installers. The office later just billed to our same credit card number.

Excellent! Work accomplished on a rental house in Springfield VA, which I manage from CA. Job was scheduled in conjunction with a separate job by same company (replace kitchen vinyl floor). Job was completed on time with no problems. Installation was high quality and workers removed old carpet and padding and cleaned up the work site. Mr. Bill Jacklin, store manager, was very helpful since I was arranging this work from afar. He minimized any inconvenience to the tenant.

Overall, it went well. I worked with the store manager Bill Jacklin, who was very prompt and attentive. This work was done in a rental home I own in Springfield and I am located in CA, so all arrangements were done over the phone and through the tenant. Two mix ups occurred; one regarding the agreed upon date the job was to be accomplished, and the other regarding how many layers of vinyl were to be actually removed. In both cases, Mr Jacklin stepped in and resolved the issues quickly and diplomatically. The actual installation was handled by a subcontractor, but it appears they have worked with the same subcontractor before and stood behind their work. The finished product was of high quality, according to the tenant. Price was the very competitive of 3 bids I obtained. They also carpeted two rooms on the same day (priced separately).

Because our townhouse seems to have more than the usual strange nooks and crannies, it took more than one day to complete the job. The gentleman who came first appeared to really know his stuff, but his helper did not appear very experienced, and also did not appear to speak English. At one point, I noticed the helper had set his (wet) drink on my piano, and removed it. The main installer spoke to him sternly and I noticed he really watched him thereafter to make sure there were no more faux pas. Because he found he did not have the right trim for the stair landings, he said they would have to be ordered and he would be back later. I had to call after not hearing for a couple of days. Masoud got things rolling again and a different man came out to finish. He did not appear to be as skilled, and the trim didn't look right. I called and told Masoud, and he came out immediately to see it to try to resolve it. The man came out two days later and finished the trim to my satisfaction.

Carpet One once again has demonstrated outstanding performance. I have used this company from multiple locations and every time the get the job done, on time, in budget, and most importantly superior work quality. I am a real estate agent and this kind of work is a must for me. When I give a client a recommendation, I know if Carpet One is doing the job, I do not have to worry. If you need flooring, you should make them your first and last stop.
