Luyi (Louis) Yan, the president and principal structural engineer, holds PE licenses in VA, MD, and DC with BS & MS degree in structural and civil engineering majors, and is the member of ASCE and NCEES. Mr. Yan had been a lead engineer in top national design firms, such as, Bechtel and PB. He has broad engineering knowledge and 25 years+ hands-on design experience in wood, masonry, steel, and concrete structures. He is familiar with current building codes, and local government's requirements for application of building permits.
