Kitchen & Floor Master

Awesome from start to finish! We contracted in October to have the work done during the time we had off from work in December. Phil was our designer and everything was picked out and set before we signed the contract. Work started by the team of Carlos and Ronnie right on time. Came on time and worked hard and cleaned up beautifully. Dominic provided all the support to see that the job ran smoothly. Two weeks and two days later (with two holidays in there) the job was done and it looks terrific. Carlos is a master with the tile! I will try to post pictures on Yelp.

We are very pleased. They are very flexible and easy to work with. My husband has been working with them for 20 years with his old house. The pricing was very reasonable. They did a lot of work on our house in 2007.

We had the bathroom remodeled. They did the following: remove a wall, patch over one of two doors, take out a shower stall, install ventilation. This required both a plumber and electrician in addition to the "regular" workers. We installed new double sinks, countertop, tub & shower combo.

Awesome, quicker than anticipated. Once the job started Dominic kept everything coordinated and moving. All of the teams were skilled and professional. We originally worked with Paul on the layout and materials, he was very knowledgeable and helpful with the design. I love the cabinets and granite. We are thrilled with the results, the kitchen is much more functional and now has a "Wow" factor it was lacking.

They remodeled our bathroom. They gutted pretty much the entire bathroom, took out the tub and installed a walk-in shower. They also put in a new vanity and sink, light fixture, flooring, and toilet. We chose marble for the shower and the floor and it looks great. They arrived when they said they would and worked hard every day. We would hire them again.

The entire remodel was done in 3 weeks.  All of the subs had worked for the contractor for many  years, and did an excellent job.  They took the time to explain what they were doing, how long it would take, what, if any options I still had, came back until everything met my satisfaction.  It was very apparent that the subs knew each other and worked well together, to ensure timelines were met, and the work progressed in an orderly fashion.
I met the contractor through a friends recommendation.  I recommend anyone interested in a contractor to interview this team, ask for references, and even go to some of their clients finished projects.
The result exceeded my expectations.  Every visitor, including service people, all say Wow, when they enter my condo.  The whole affect is very classy.

Paul, Dominick and their teams were fantastic to work with!  We had obtained several quotes over the years, and always felt that those quotes were very excessive, especially since we did not want to change the layout.  Paul's estimate came in exactly where we felt it should be.  Having lived for 15 years with the master bath being half 1970s original gold mosaic 3 piece bath and half 1990s addition of another sink and tub, I never imagined the bathroom could look so beautiful!  I was particularly worried about the floor - the old and new floors were not quite the same level.  The floor is now gorgeous and completely level!
The work took 4 weeks, even though it was originally estimated to be 2 weeks.  But it was 4 full weeks - there was almost always somebody working on something, and that including people coming out on the weekends (Saturday & Sunday!) and doing little things that needed to be done when other trades weren't there.  And when workmen were there, they were working hard!  So we were never concerned about the length of time it took - we knew there was no time wasted.
We had almost no issues - an amazingly short punch list!  And we all had difficulty determining whether the color of one of the sinks was correct.  We finally figured out that the skylight was the likely cause of the difference, but because we weren't positive, Dominick went ahead and switched the sink for us. 
Overall, I can't recommend Paul, Dominick and the team enough. AAA+ job!

Aref and his team were extremely committed to providing us hardwood floors that we would love. The job was to remove carpeting on the 3rd floor of a townhouse we just bought and replace it with hardwood. When they went to install the new floors both my wife and I were out of town and they discovered that the wood color we had agreed to didn't match the bannister's color. To be sure we would be pleased with the results, they retrieved 3 other types of wood, called us and discussed over FaceTime which of the new wood planks we preferred. Even though the wood we ultimately chose was more expensive than the original one we originally selected, they didn't charge us extra. So many vendors would have just installed the agreed-upon wood and charged us for a change request: this company clearly works differently. Post-install, when we needed a door to be adjusted, we called Aref and a tech was at the house within 2 hours to fix it, again at no charge. I highly recommend Kitchen & Floor Master and we enthusiastically used them again to replace carpet in another property we owned.

They were a pleasure to deal with.
Their estimate was competitive.
They delivered the wood 3 days in advance to acclimatize to the home temperature and humidity.
The installers were courteous and highly professional, and arrived on time.
They removed the existing carpeting and moved the furniture.
Screwed down any loose subflooring.
Since the wood was in multiple grains and shades, they were very careful in assuring proper design.
Did an excellent job staining and installing shoe molding and transitions.
They left the house very clean.
Removed all leftover materials and trash.
Placed carpeting strips under heavy furniture, then returned the next day to put pads/sliders under all chairs and furniture.
Will definitely use them again.

My husband and I have used Kitchen and Floor for several projects in our home:  complete hardwood flooring installation on two levels of our home; kitchen remodel, two bathroom remodels; fireplace remodel.  So when we had a pipe burst in our finished basement, of course, we called Kitchen and Floor for assistance.  They replaced wet insulation; repaired/painted drywall; removed carpeting and replaced with hardwood flooring.  They never let us down - GREAT JOB as always!  Paul provides superior Customer Service.  Their crew and work is always professional, neat, and clean.  Our home is treated with care and respect.  We trust them completely.  Kitchen and Floor makes sure their customers are happy.  We have called upon Kitchen and Floor for various projects and will call upon them again.

The challenge for the installers was to remove tile and a layer of subfloor in the kitchen.  This took a day alone, as the subfloor was screwed and glued to the base floor.  Once that was done, the crew got on a roll and completed the project on the second day.  Close inspection of the installed hardwood revealed absolutely no need for follow-up on any issues.  The floor turned out simply beautiful.  Now I just have to vacuum from time to time!

I am so very pleased with Kitchen and Floor Master's work.  Paul and Amy were a complete delight to work with.  This review is actually for two jobs.  
At the first job they replaced all the carpeting and refinished the wood floor at our new house.  The old carpeting was in very poor repair and badly stained with God knows what.  It was beyond disgusting and repair.  Their workers were on time and very professional.  The work they did is FANTASTIC.  The carpet is beautiful and I absolutely love it.  The floors are fantastic.  The best part is I was under a lot of stress from fixing up the new house (it was a short sale and in bad repair) and also preparing the new house to move into.  Paul and Amy were very patient with me and helped me find the perfect carpet.  I can't be more pleased.  The wood floors look like new also.  Absolutely beautiful.
At the old house we replace all the carpeting and repaired the stairs.  I had been afraid of how much the stair repair would cost, but it was VERY affordable and not as difficult as I had feared.  Because of the beauty of the new carpet and step repairs our old house was under contract for FULL PRICE in three days.  Well worth the investment of new carpeting.

They did an excellent job.  They were extremely professional.  They had great ideas.  We have stuck it in our mind how we wanted things done and they showed us a different way and we ended up going their way because it was better.  They showed us different ways to do the half bath since it’s just a small bathroom.

My experience with this company was excellent.  The salesman was very professional offering very good advice and calling the next day to see how things went and to ensure that I was pleased with the work and product.  The installers called to let me know they were on their way and were very pleasant, timely and efficient.  Yes, I am very happy with this company and would definitely recommend them.

Within about 30-days, gutted the entire 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home.  Installed hardwood floors throughout the entire downstairs.  Recarpted the entire second floor.  Retiled all the bathrooms, replaced the shower/tub, and installed new commodes.  Installed reset lighting in family room, dining room, and kitchen.  Installed granite counters in kitchen and all bathrooms and new cabinets in kitchen and bathrooms.
This is the most professional group I have ever had the pleasure of employing.  ALL the electricians, plumbers, laborers, supervisors, and owner were awesome.  The owner uses computer-aided design to ensure what is designed will be installed.  I strongly recommend anyone thinking of remodeling to talk with Kitchen and Floor Master.  You will be doing yourself a disservice if you don't.  I believe their prices and quality of materials and service are unmatched in the local area.

The first day the two men worked continually removing the two layers of old flooring and the underlayment. That was messy
work. They draped plastic over areas not affected, helped me remove clothes from a hall closet and all the things hanging on
the walls, the baseboards. They hauled all the debris away.
The next day the cleaned the area and prepared it for the matting slabs that were to go under the new tile. They worked
hard and continually.  On the third day they must have worked 12 hours laying all the new tile. The fourth day, they grouted,
reinstalled baseboards and cleaned up. Their clean-up was above and beyond.
I cannot say enough good things about the end product and the workers who made it happen.I intend to use them again
any time I have a flooring, be it wood, tile, carpet, whatever. I would also use them for kitchen and bath remodeling.
In short, anytime I have a problem that needs solving of that nature, I will pay them a visit.

Sonny was very helpful in getting everything scheduled, and even waited 30 minutes for us when we were stuck in traffic trying to get home for the estimate! The replacement took probably less than an hour, and the cat smell is completely gone.

Outstanding customer service from beginning to end. Prior to starting work met with us both at their store and at our home and then they prepared detailed plans and provided estimate for work to be performed. All work was completed on time and within budget. Paul and Dominic provided onsite oversight and management of the various crews that performed the work. They carefully removed old cabinets so that we could reuse in garage and basement for additional storage. Started with installation of cabinets and island, then installed granite counters/island, and then ceramic flooring. Electrician also installed undercounter lights and outlets. Due to appliance vendors backlog for downdraft granite installer needed to return to cut space for cooktop and downdraft. This phase was done perfectly allowing the appliance vendor to install the blower and induction cooktop. Paul coordinated all work and was very responsive. Always returned my phone calls with 1--2 hours. Both Paul and Dominic closely monitored work performed. GREAT JOB! Highly recommend. FYI - sign on store in Burke says Carpets and Floors, Inc.

We wanted to remodel our 32-year-old kitchen without damaging existing floor or wallpaper.  We also wanted to keep our relatively new refrigerator, disposer, and dishwasher. The only appliances replaced, ovens and cooktop, were removed; new ovens and cooktop were replaced separately and were not included in this bid.  This entire remodel was such a positive experience!  I was initially impressed that care was taken to protect my carpet and flooring from front door into and including the kitchen workspace.  Care was taken to also protect wallpaper and to protect other areas of the house from construction dust, etc. 
Everyone who worked on the project behaved professionally.  When I had questions...and I had many...my emails were answered in kind or by phone.  Paul was receptive to several changes and additions I had along the way.  I'm a "detail" person, which can bother some people, but neither Paul nor Dominick ever showed signs of being irritated by my many questions and requests. 
Installation of beautiful Waypoint cabinets and Silestone countertop and backsplash went smoothly, as did the replacement of old fluorescent ceiling fixture with multiple new recessed lights.  Plumbing alterations were made to accommodate the new deep sink and electrical modifications were made to accommodate new appliances and to give me more outlets and dimmers. 
I LOVE MY NEW KITCHEN!  Thank you, Paul, Dominick, Marco, and the entire team!  I enjoyed working with you.
