Ivan was prompt in returning my inquiries and quick to issue a competitive quote. The team was on time every day, professional, and delivered high quality work. Many vendors refused to take on the work due to excessive work required to access the roof that needed repair (under the deck) but the team here did not hesitate.

Ivan Ruano, owner of Genesis Home Remodeling, is one of the best general contractors I have ever worked with. Ivan and his team replaced and installed a heavy foyer chandelier on over 20 foot high ceilings and replaced 7 large kitchen area blinds. He showed up on time each day, was extremely professional and organized, and worked efficiently. His team is meticulous, talented, and work very fast and clean. After both jobs were done, all the trash, debris, and dirt was cleaned up and thrown out for me. I am extremely happy with Genesis Home Remodeling and plan to use them in the future for any house-related improvement and remodeling projects.

All projects that Ivan and his team have worked on for me have been completed on-time if not earlier than expected. Ivan does not over commit to a project and is always punctual. This has been the defining factor of why I consistently choose his company over other companies. The quality of the work is excellent and I have never had an issue reaching Ivan or getting good feedback on options for a solution. Ivan is extremely honest and will give you the cheap and quick route versus the other more expensive options. I have learned to trust his judgement and experience when he recommends one over the other. Very happy to have found such a great contractor! I am including pictures of the latest project that Ivan worked on for me. He has worked at 3 other properties of mine in D.C. and M.D.

Ivan remodeled my medical practice in Fairfax, VA. He and his team were on time and on budget. They were extremely professional and their work exceeded my expectations. It included remodeling a kitchen, a lab area and rebuilding dry walls to add some office space and putting new flooring. Ivan took care of the permits and was on top of all the county inspections. In fact, on his last day of the job, just out of care and goodness, he brought to my attention the fact that the front door lock was a bit wobbly and needed some reinforcement which I did immediately and was grateful for. His work is great - my clients are happy and his work made my clients sell their properties higher than the asking price many times. Ivan the owner is very professional in his work quality and presentation of papers and estimate and invoices. He has never estimated wrong on his estimate price for my projects- he would stick to his estimate. The quality is excellent. I have worked with him last several years for my client's renovation of houses and reaires. Although he is busy with projects, he is always responsive to my request. I highly recommend him without hesitation.

I have been delighted with everything Ivan has done. He does most of the work himself, and when he has other workers do specialized tasks they are always top quality. He takes pride in getting the job done right. He makes a special effort to get the details right, like matching wood tones and making sure I see the paint colors on the walls before finishing the job. He finishes the job quickly, and when he did jobs that spanned several weeks he made sure the house was clean and livable before he left every night. His prices are fair, and he is careful to let me know if an estimate may entail additional costs. I am always confident starting a new project with Ivan that it will be a good experience.
