It went great in every way. The crew arrived on time and got right to work removing the old windows. They covered everything with drop cloths and vacuumed when they finished. There is no removal of either the inside or outside trim. The exterior custom flashing work was first class. We will be having them replace some doors for us soon.

They apparently had a lull in their schedule and when I came home, they were almost done.  Fredy Burgos had left a message on my cell but I was going to call him back when I got home.

Fredy Burgos is the owner.  I recommended them to my mother and they worked on my mother's house.  They were prompt.  They were honest.  They didn't try to price hike or oversell her a product that she didn't need.  They were just incredibly fast.  They just got in there fast from the time they ordered to the time they delivered.  It was done in two weeks.  They came around 8'o clock in the morning and by 2 they were done.  All 20 windows were installed in the snow.  Another company was trying to sell her double pane windows for $20000.  My mother was very happy with Fredy.  The quality of their work was good.  I have worked with them before.  It has always been a good experience.  They are reliable.

Extremely professional, great attention to detail.  We have a house that literally is mostly windows and sliding doors.  All of this glass is a significant architectural detail of the house and, when we bought the house, nearly all of it hadn't been replaced since the late 70's.  We went with triple glazed glass and the reduction in noise (and energy bills) has been nothing short of fantastic.  We'd recommend Fredy without qualification to anyone looking for windows and doors.

Fredy came in a year ago to do an estimate while I was pricing out the project.  He had a very competitive price and was the only one to follow up 6 months later.  When we were ready for the project, we had Fredy come back out for another estimate.  We explained exactly where we were with our budget and he helped us come up with a plan.  After are materials were fabricated, Fredy called to schedule an instillation date and they had an extremely flexible schedule, including Saturdays.
The installers showed up exactly on time and worked diligently until the job was complete.  Fredy came by about half way through the project to ensure that I was happy.   Upon completion, the installers cleaned up every last trace of them being there.  In addition, they gave me a rundown of the windows, door, and storm to ensure that I knew how to operate them.  After the boys left and I had some time to check out the work, I did notice a little sloppy work with the caulking, but it is hardly noticeable.
Overall, I am elated with my experience with Designer Windows & Siding and would recommend them to anyone looking for windows or doors.

Bottom line is that Designer Windows provides a high quality product  at a reasonable price and worked with me to meet my needs (in my case - best value.)  I plan to use Fredy's (the owner) company over the years to for all of my window and hardscaping work.
When he met with me to provide an estimate, Fredy impressed me as a dedicated and knowledgable small business owner who stood behind his products and services.  He knew about all the technical details of the glass, insulation, structure etc.  When I told him that I didn't want to cut corners but I didn't want to pay for any bells and whistles, he worked with me to come up with a good option at a reasonable price.
I met with one other window company that had great reviews on Angies List.  The woman who did the estimate was nice enough but was not nearly as knowledgeable as Fredy.  She just had a binder with different window options and took a few minutes trying to match my sizing with the options she had.  The quote also came in at $1000 more.
The crew was hardworking and thorough.  The giant wall-size bow window is absolutely beautiful.

Fredy's service, responsiveness and quality of work were excellent!   He was quite professional, provided good and thorough advice about window choices.  Came out several times to answer my and my husband's many questions before we made the decision.   He was on time, he brought a quality and experienced crew.   He came in the morning to start the job and came at the end of the day to inspect the work with me.  Would absolutely and without reservation recommend Fredy.
We struggled to choose between vinyl, wood and fiberglass.   We ultimately chose a high-end vinyl and are quite happy.   We live in a wooded area with a lot of shade.  We previously had wood windows, however, the shade and moisture rotted the wood.  The vinyl looks fabulous.

We decided to go with Freddy's company based on the following:
1) Reputation based on Angie's List and Google Reviews
2) Local small business
3) Competitive pricing
4)Low pressure sales pitch

Aside from one "rain day" it took only five days to install insulation board, replace all of our aluminium siding, wrap all the wooden trim, and install 22 new windows.

The work began on schedule and aside from a day rain, didn't stop until completion.

The attention to detail was excellent.

The crew left the job site neat and clean at the end of each day and cleaned up completely at the end of the job.

They are great. The owner himself came out and talked to me about the windows. I talked to several companies and he explained the technical aspects of the windows so completely that I really understood why I would want his windows. The installation was difficult. My existing windows were more difficult to take out so they had to work a couple of extra hours. They all worked really hard. The owner came back to check afterwards to make sure everything was right. It was very good and I really liked them a lot. I love the windows and they are really, really good. I could tell how much cold they cut down on this winter. Freddie is the owner and he was a good guy. I would happily go back to them and I might have them do doors in the future. They did not have the cheapest window but it was worth the money. The windows were really good. There was one part of the caulk they missed and he came immediately to fix it. They are the only company I would call; I won't waste my time with those other companies.

Fredy, the owner, came out to give us an estimate in mid January. He was friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely proud of what he does, his reputation, and the fact that he has used the same installers since the inception of his company. We received three more estimates after seeing Fredy (some cheaper), but he made such an impression on us that my wife and I really wanted to give him our business. He is very honest and upfront about his company and admits that he won't be the cheapest because his crew is exceptional and he pays them well to keep them. Also, his warranty is the best. He came back to the house a second time to discuss pricing. Although he couldn't match a cheaper quote (his window had some upgrades compared to the other one) he did the best he could and met us half way. That was good enough for me and we signed with him immediately. He gave us the standard 4-6 week delivery timeframe and we gave him a 1/3 deposit. Much to my surprise, he called three weeks later to let me know the windows were in and to schedule an installation date. His crew arrived exactly at the time agreed upon and got to work immediately. They were fast, efficient, clean. The job was complete in about 2.5 hours and they left the house just as clean as when they started the job. Fredy's assistant stopped by in the morning to ensure things were going well and Fredy stopped by to inspect the job at the finish. I can't say enough good things about the installation. His crew was superb and I can understand why he pays them well. Designer Windows was amazing from start to finish. The whole process exceeded my expectations and Fredy is a breath of fresh air in the contracting business (read honest and caring). The product looks and works great and the crew was incredible. Well worth the extra bit of money to work with this company (remember, quality costs). I will recommend Fredy and his guys to all my friends and neighbors and will be sure to give him my business again.

Fredy Burgos is the owner of Designer Windows & Siding. I like his honesty, punctuality and cleaning up after the job. We expected his men to be here when they could do the roof. We came home from work that day, and we thought they didn't show up to work that day. When we looked closer, we noticed that the roof was done. We didn't even know that they had been here. We left for work by 7 in the morning and were back by 4 in the evening, and there was no sign of them. It was all done.

Great job! His team did terrific again, just as expected. They did the siding first, which was done within three days. Good attention to detail, everything looked very nice. The roof was next. It had two layers to rip off, and needed new gutters. Again, his crew out did themselves. The roofers were showing up just when we were leaving for work. When we came home, it didn't look like anyone was there. Where did everyone go? It had rained about an hour earlier and I was concerned about an open roof, but, when we got closer we realized they were already done, cleaned-up, finished. Great job again! We are considering to so hardscaping. Designer Windows now offers that service as well. You can be sure we will be including him for consideration when it comes that time.

We were impressed at our free estimate by Freddy's knowledge and genuine interest in windows. We got the energy efficient model he recommended, and the price was what we had budgeted so we decided to sign the contract with him. He was prompt to schedule our installation and though he had to adjust the time, he called us with enough notice that it actually worked out to our benefit too. The crew was fast, professional, friendly and very neat. Within 4.5 hours the only evidence of their presence was that our house looked cleaner and brighter. One of the installers took a few minutes to review with me how to operate the windows for cleaning and security. Another member of the crew patched some minor damage to the window walls and sills. Most was covered by the framing but, in an old house with plaster it is impossible not to have some damage when you move things. I know they fixed a few cracks that were there before they arrived which left the whole project looking clean and finished. The improvement has more impact than I anticipated in appearance and temperature. The noise from the street is also significantly less.

The estimate was professional, complete, and included much detail so we could understand window options and pricing. Freddie Burgos provided the estimate. During installation, the crew -- same crew that installed windows in another townhouse of ours years earlier -- was prompt and efficient. They answered questions as they installed and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. This is a rental property and they were very respectful of the tenant's furnishings, etc.

Overall I had a great experience with this contractor. Prices, while perhaps not the cheapest, were competitive. The work was done efficiently with no mess, and the end result was fantastic. The owner clearly relies heavily on customer referrals and worked hard from start to finish to ensure that we were 100% satisfied. Here's how it went: My neighbor was having his sliding doors replaced and knew that I was interested in doing mine. I had had a pella estimate a couple years, back, so I knew the ballpark cost to expect, and I trusted this neighbor to have done the research, and I knew of other neighbors who had used them. I decided to have them out for an estimate, and if it all lined up, to make a "leap" without getting other estimates for convenience. Lucky for me, it paid off. I called to have an estimate, and the owner Fredy Burgess personally came out. He brought with him a folder of relevant information that included everything I could want to know including copies of licenses, insurances, and certifications, information on why you should hire a "class A" contracter, testimonials and average prices and brochures on their products. Fredy looked at the doors and window, and listened to my concerns about the water damage on my lower door, and we discussed what they could do. I felt very comfortable with him and what they were going to do, so I signed the contract on the spot. He offered a 5% discount if installed on same day as my neighbor, and estimated that the job would take 1 day to complete. He proceeded to order the windows and gave me an estimated work date of 4-6 weeks. I believe it was actually on the lower end of that, and they were flexible in getting me scheduled. It turned out that they had an opening before my scheduled date with the neighbor, so they honored the 5% off and got me in earlier. On the day of the installation, the crew showed up early by about 15 minutes at 7:45 am (but courteously waited to knock until the 8 am agreed time). It was unbelievable how efficient, quick and neat they were. There were about 6 men, and they laid out tarps along their walkways to all 3 floors, and proceeded to tear out and replace all the windows and doors. It only took a few hours start to finish, everything was perfect. Re: my water damaged door, they installed extra "flashing" on the door above and on that door to ensure they solved the water problem. There was some drywall waterdamage that they weren't equipped to deal with replacing as I thought we had agreed to, but we quickly came to a compromise that I'm extremely satisfied with. They had some slightly wider trim that they were able to put up that made the door look fantastic and it covered all traces of water damage. When it was time to go they, cleaned up, hauled everything away and left the place better than they found it. One extra that they did for me was to use the extra caulk that they had to re-caulk my bay window which was in desparate need (at no charge). My one minor complaint (if there is one) was around the re-hanging of my custom window blinds. Fredy had told me that they do not take down or put up blinds because they do not want to be liable for the damage (many are old and brittle and subject to easy damage). Mine are new, and he agreed to make an exception in both taking them down and putting them back up. I asked because I had them professionally installed and I wasn't sure that I could handle it by myself (and I'm also a procrastinator and wasn't sure I'd get them back up). The crew didn't put them up before they left. I quickly realized that they probably couldn't have because the caulk was still wet. I let it go, and then realized that the sill looked a lot narrower than it used to. When I measured I found out that I had lost about 3/4 of an inch, and now my blinds which were custom for the window (inside the frame) are going to stick out instead of being flush with the window. (Notice my verb tense-- 3 months later I still haven't hung the blinds back up and am using big sheets of styrofoam to cover my beautiful window. But I digress...). I called Fredy immediately, fairly upset, and he came out to take a look right away. Unfortunately their wasn't much he could do to change the situation. The explanation was that the newer energy efficient windows are thicker and so they just require more space. I understand, but wish that had been pointed out before I got the new window, in which case I probably would have lived with the old one. Hence my advice to inform people up front of the difference. Guess I'll have to look up "handymen" in Angie's list to come hang my blinds. :)

From setting up the initial consultation to signing the contract, there were no high pressure sales tactics. We got several other estimates that were similar in price (within about $250) but the salespeople were much pushier. Fredy was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions before and after signing the contract. The workmen were on time, quick and very respectful of our house and furniture. They took away all debris and cleaned up very well after the installation.
