We just had (Feb. 2020) Crystal Interiors & Upholstery in Burke, VA reupholster one of our most cherished heirlooms, an "Eastlake" parlor chair that has been in the family since 1879, and they did a terrific job. The upholstery is beautiful and they clearly treated the chair very delicately out of respect for its age (141 years old) and special meaning for the family. They replaced the webbing in the seat and made a new seat cushion which was needed, but they were able to keep the original horsehair padding in the back which kept the chair as original as possible. Then they covered the seat and back (both sides) with new upholstery and added a double piping trim. It looks wonderful and their price was very reasonable and they had it done in just 2 weeks. We highly recommend them - they do excellent quality work at reasonable prices and Anna who manages the office is a real pleasure to work with.
