Capital Carpet Gallery did a fantastic job in both, the procurement and installation of new Carpeting and wood flooring throughout my house done twice on two separate occasions. Rod Bigdeli, the owner, is the nicest guy around. When my wife and I, who live in Burke Virginia, spent a lot of times getting quotes from a number of Carpet stores within the Fairfax area. Rod stood out in not only his professional and nice demeanor, but also one who truly can perfectly match our desires with the right Carpet and wood flooring for our home. Rod consistently gave the lowest price and his team of installers did a fantastic job. Rod at no additional charge gladly came back out within 24hrs to our house to look at and fix two minor needed corrections about a year after one of our installation jobs. Capital Carpet Gallery is the "to go place" when you need to have Carpet and/or hardwood flooring done. Don't waste your time on any one else- Rod and his team are it! Our hardwood floors has been installed for a number of years and they still look great!

I really enjoyed doing business with Rod because he was so polite and punctual. He also out bid Clawes carpet and provided me with great quality carpet and padding. The installers were equal courteous and worked around the bulky furniture sitting in my basement. I would definitely recommend Capital Carpet Gallery Inc to anyone and plan on using this company for any future carpet needs.

It all went so smoothly from start to finish.
Rod, the owner helped us make decisions without pressure and was a pleasure to work with. The price was right and everything was with a minimum of fuss.
All the installers were professional, courteous and helpful. The work carried out was excellent.

Never returned calls. Did not provide sample as promised. Carpet quality poor.

Capital Carpet was recommended to me by a friend/real estate agent. They provided friendly, affordable, caring service.

Rod was very helpful at every stage.  He used cell phone pictures and texts,  phone calls and face to face meeting in working with me.  The timing of the job was complicated but he and his crew were flexible and able to do all that was needed and more.  Rod was smart and a good problem solver with the chair lift and was able to get it out of the stair case.  The result was better than I expected.  His crew worked hard and clean up was great.  I would definitely tell others to talk to Rod for carpet expertise and flooring.

Bad

1. They came several hours late. Did not call I had to call looking for them.

2. The installer was going to put new padding and carpet over the dirty floor.

I made a point when making the deal I wanted the floor cleaned before the new

carpet went down. I had to have the installer remove the padding to clean the floor.

3. All of a sudden he was packing up this tools at about 4p.m. He had a appointment

I was never advised of this. I was left with a floor exposed with all types of nails exposed.

he returned on the next day and finished the carpet. He cut the carpet short on the stairs and tried to

cover it up. When pulling the carpet over the edge of the top floor he cut the corner. This is wrong.

My furniture was damaged I had to repair.  The bed was put back lopsided. I had to fix the bed.

On one step the carpet was cut short in the corner and he tried to cover this up. When I brought this to

 owners attention he said he would fix when he had time.  I said I would like to have it fixed with in the

week. He repeated his self.  I made several trips to his store asking when he was going to fix the issues

he stated there was no extra carpet. That I know was a lie. He tried to get me to take the carped as is

was saying he would fix if I had a problem with in the year.  I said no, I paid for a correct job not junk.

Af Ater I talk with a very nice lady at Angies List I had a call from the owner and the carpet was fixed.

I would like to make one thing clear, the owner made numerous personal comments about me and my

home that were not true and could be considered slander.  This was the most unprofessional place

Very nice on the phone. They came over within an hour- the owner was on the way to another job, but stopped by to make sure all would be okay.
We had water that leaked onto carpet and pad- so we pulled up both padding and carpet and dried them outside the room. They re-installed and stretched the carpet, and repaired the entry by the door that had unravelled by adding a piece of carpet we had on hand for repairs. Looks great! They were here about 1 1/2 hours.

Rod is an experienced and knowledgeable professional.  He is extremely pleasant to work with and genuinely honest.  I have used him and his company twice before and have been pleased with both experiences.  He is NOT a high pressure salesman, rather a professional that helps the customer makes their ideas happen.  If there are any problems, he does his best to rectify and solve. For example, when the tiles were removed from the powder room floor to install the new "wood" flooring, the toilet would not sit properly because the floor was much lower.  Rod has experiences sub-contractors to help with such issues.  They were able to come out at my convenience and fix the issue.   I highly recommend Capital Carpet!

The result is beautiful. Three rooms were already stripped to the subfloor, so these were very normal and uncomplicated installations. But the removal and replacement of damaged portions of the flooring in our kitchen and dining room was far more difficult. The crew carefully removed the damaged boards then slid new stock in place, preserving the strength associated with the tongue-and-groove locking. The final result is excellent--I doubt anyone would ever notice where the original installation leaves off and the spliced-in new flooring begins. 
The crew set their saw up outside to minimize mess inside the house, and they were very careful to clean up when they left, including dust-mopping to eliminate all sawdust residue. They were polite and professional, and did everything possible to limit the disruption to the house. 
I would be happy to do business with this company again.

Rod is a great guy and his installers did an awesome job putting in Teragren bamboo in most of our first floor. I had been wanting this done for two years. It was so worth the wait. They arrived in a timely manner and were a very hard working crew. They finished the job in one day. We would use this company again.

We met with Rod regarding having hardwood installed to match existing
floors on our stairs and landing.  Rod was very efficient, prompt, and
professional in giving us advice. He presented us with several options
and suggestions.  At the last minute, we made the decision to include an
upstairs hall. Even with that, the job was done when promised.  He
managed the installers (who were on time, neat workers, and
professional) well and checked in frequently during the process.  We had
a few problems, but mostly in understanding of how finishing touches
were to be done.  These problems were resolved quickly and easily.  We
are pleased with the whole experience and will be calling Rod to discuss
counter tops in the near future

I was pleased at the time and information the owner, Rod, spent with me when I first walked into the store. I picked out a possible carpet sample to take home and that was fine with him. I decided I did not like that carpet for my stairs so got another sample, with help from owner's son. It seemed right. Rod came to the house to confirm that the carpet I chose would be right for the stairs. Gave me some advice when asked, about another carpet area.

After showing the latest sample to my husband, I returned to the shop and Rod wrote up the bill. I paid half down. Rest paid after installation. We decided on a date for installation, but that ended up being the day Hurricane Sandy passed through! So we re-scheduled a few days later. Work was done on time and I am pleased with the looks.

There were a few places where the installer, at my request, added some additional carpet staples to make everything flat and finished. Very pleased with results.

Overall, the experience was excellent and I would certainly work with Capital Carpet again.  In addition, I would request that they have the same installers do the work as they did an excellent job.

Excellent overall experience with Capital Carpet.  The service atmosphere from the in store visit to the onsite estimate to the installation was all excellent with a personal guarantee you can most certainly trust.  This is what a small business can be to a community because they live in the community.  It's trustworthy, go the extra mile service is why we keep going back to this business.  This is the second time we have used Capital Carpet and each time the final price was exactly what was estimated.  When we had a minor challenge during installation, which is not unheard of, Rod immediately came to our house to discuss the options and everything turned out exactly as we had envisioned.  Again with no extra cost and exactly as estimated.  We did our due dilligence and could not find a better price and I don't know if its possible to beat the personal service.  Do your business with Capital Carpet of Burke and keep this gem in our community going far into the future.

I really enjoyed working with Rod and his son.  They were both very responsive to our needs and expectations.  I had made numerous visits to installers and I felt the most comfortable with this company and I was extremely sattisfied with the work that was completed. 

We had the same installers for both installations and they were very good and did an excellent job of making sure things were done correctly.

Everything went well from the initial store visit to the final installation of the floor covering in our laundry room.  The owner came shortly after the work was completed to be sure the job had been done correctly.
