In over an hour the professional service technicians checked, cleaned, verified correct operation, and fully vacuumed all systems. Great job. Well done. The Freon Doctor is nothing but professional. We had new gas log installation today and without a doubt the best service we have had with any HVAC/GAS log company. From start to finish The Freon Doctor kept us in the loop with parts and timing. Soto and his team are hands down the best company to use for HVAC or Gas log service.

Bad experience. My A/C stopped working. They quoted me a $4000 temporary solution but recommended I replace the whole unit for 13,500. I called someone else who fixed it for $200. I would recommend going with someone more trustworthy.

Alan K - I called Freon Doctor about my out side unit was not working today. They had a tech come out the same day I called. He look the unit over. He said it was my Thermostat. The tech put a new one on all is working. I will use them again. 1/12/2023

With our recent very cold weather, Freon Doctor is saving us from freezing this winter. The fireplace is in the family room so with recliner chairs we can sleep there in comfort and have warm nights and days. Whether with or without power, our lives are cozier and better. ?? Alan Kanelopoulos - Want a great company. I called them and said my AC was not working and Soto said he would get to me around 3:30. They was here at 3:33. The tic was name Rick he came in and started to work and find the problem in 15 minutes. The owner came out to see how its was going. Soto the owner started to help Rick do the job. I will use them again and I will ask for Rick. It say a lot about a company when the owner shows up. There price was great. Its was nice to see them come in van with supplys in there van. The van had there names on them. When Rick was cleaning up Soto took time to show me the bad part. Again they are a five star company to me.

Soto was wonderful to work with. He and his team did an amazing job installing the new HVAC unit into my house. All issues addressed and left with an amazing experience. I would recommend Freon Doctor to all of my friends and family.

They identified the problem and were very professional. Very polite and cared about our situation. The owner Mr. Soto came out on a Sunday to fix our problem. My wife loved him. Will use again.

Horrible experience, and over 2 years after the 4 month install was completed, yes, 4 months, I now have to get my foyer ceiling repaired for the second time, this time due to improper installation of the condensation line. The first time one of the workers stepped through the ceiling after a confrontation with the owner in my driveway. I have submitted a 6 page report to Trane customer service based on my observations and a 2 page inspection from an independent, Angie's List recommended, Trane installer. Their report includes safety and equipment reliability issues that I will have to address and pay for if Trane corporation does not step in. Probably the worst thing is that the owner/supervisor actually believes that he and his team of sub-standard workers are doing quality installs. I would not recommend Freon Doctors for any HVAC work. The attached photos show the repaired condensation line, attempt two of three, and the damage associated with the initial install.

System did get repaired eventually after a couple of mistakes. I did pay an extremely high price for some freon to top off my system.

Showed up on time and even corrected a thermostat wiring error left by the previous owner.

It was apparent within ten minutes of arrival, that the supposed technician had one goal and that was to sell us a new HVAC system.
He enthusiastically pointed out spots of rust on cooling coil mounts and stated it was bad design and fraught with potential failures.
I later googled everything he pointed out as “defects and problems” and find that most of them are considered normal and of no concern as to the unit’s performance or air handling capability. Especially for a unit of only seven years of age in a rather protected area in the back of the home.
The tech found our upstairs unit required a charge of freon. Granted the system has performed a low level of performance for the last five years that I've lived here with my wife who bought the seven year-old home brand new, and I assumed it had not been properly charged when first installed. Yet the tech continued to use the word “leak” when he could not point out a leak anywhere. Even a slow leak would have exhausted that system years ago. The system has operated the same level of performance for these last five years. So who is he kidding?
Oh yes, he wanted to charge me $600 for a leak test to determine if the unit was sound. The next contractor I brought in did it as part of the annual inspection - for free.
The tech quoted an outrageous price per pound for the Freon. $120 a pound which he "discounted" to $90 a pound. My next HVAC contractor brought in charged $57 a pound.
And then when pressed for a price for simple cleaning and recharge, the tally sounded more like a medical
bill where every little action, part, and time was a separate outrageously high charge. Well over $1000. I never did get a final estimate of simply cleaning and charging the unit as various service items seemed to continue to crop up as the tech talked on.
Then the Freon Doctor tech's high pressure was put on to replace the system for "only $4900".
I've now had another HVAC contractor in who cleaned the units, charged the system and charged me $650.

They are busy but once they got on the job, they finished the job quickly and cleanly.

As always, the service was top-notch.  Mr. Jonas, the Supervisor, arrived with two A/C repairmen.  In the past, Mr. Jonas has often checked in on his repairmen.  He makes sure the service is done well and to a certain standard.  He takes customer satisfaction very seriously, and has always made sure we were pleased with the service we received.

Under the maintenance plan, Freon Doctor comes by twice a year - when it's time to turn on the A/C, and again in the fall, when it's time to turn on the heat.  The heating & A/C repairmen at Freon Doctor have always been extremely polite and professional.  They have also been very careful with our property, as well.

We will continue using Freon Doctor, Inc. for their professionalism, reliability, and quality service.

This is a long review, but please read all of it. It's important. Let me start by saying before my project I had never heard of Freon Doctor. Before decided on Freon Doctor I met with and got quotes from close to 20 companies about my project. I am building an addition on my house doubling the square footage, and with a vaulted space just to make it more difficult. The existing house was two stories with the furnace in the basement (heat pump outside) and floor vents throughout. Freon Doctor installed a second zone with a new furnace in the attic (second heat pump outside) to serve the entire (new and existing) second floor, and reconfigured the existing zone to serve the entire (new and existing) first floor. They moved all of the second floor vents from the floor to the ceiling, removed and capped the obsolete vent lines at the trunk, ran new returns for the second floor to the new furnace in the attic, moved existing second floor returns to the first floor, and ran new floor vents for the addition to the existing zone.
I hired Freon Doctor directly, so I was coordinating the schedule between them and the GCs. With everything that's gone wrong with the project (I fired the first GC), Freon Doctor has done everything right. They have been the best part of this project. Everyone I worked with at Freon Doctor was amazing, from the owner of the company to the crew leaders, to the workers. Their focus was always on doing it right, but they were also very accommodating when my wife or I wanted something specific. The crew leaders we extremely knowledgeable about best practices and how to design the ductwork. They fixed work that was done incorrectly by the (first) GC. They divided the project into as many visits as I needed to allow the work to get done when the builders were ready for it. I think they ended up coming out at 6 or 7 different times over 5 months, and they were always prompt in responding to my requests to continue the work, showing up the day I called or the next day.
They used the brand of equipment I wanted and didn't try to upsell me on a larger system or another brand. The price they quoted in the beginning is the price I paid, and even though I think the project was more involved than they anticipated, there were no change orders.
They are honest, fair, and hard working, and I will never use another HVAC company. I am happy also to be a reference and provide additional information about my project if you want to email me at [email protected]. Please don't send me spam.
