Sent wrong color paint (2 cans @ $14.95 ea.) Was not the color I ordered from their website. Light Ivy Gold p/n V5760 is what I ordered. They sent V5778. One tiny spray confirmed that the paint was way too dark. I called Drake (the can had Drake Auto on it) and they confirmed that VA Mustang sent the wrong color. I called VA Classic Mustang and told them what Drake said and gave them a contact at Drake to confirm their error. Even after this VA Mustang wanted me to pay to ship it back and they would let me know if they would refund. WHAT??? Wrong item sent and somehow I have to pay for return and they may or may not refund. Lots of places for Mustang parts. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. Rude and poor business practices. Their website shows completely different then what was sent. Drake confirmed. Quick review search show many customers with similar stories.

I ordered the SS wheel on 5/2/12 because I had gotten a set from VCM several years ago and was satisfied with the product. The wheel was received promptly two days later. I had the wheel balanced at the Merchants store where I had bought the tire. After 1/2 hour, the manager informed me that the tire could not be balanced using cone balancing. Since the store did not have lug centric balancing recommended by the manufacturer Scott Drake, I took the wheel and tire to another Merchants store that did. They tried to balance the wheel and tire using the prescribed lug centric balancing and again could not. The machine was showing that over 1 lb of weights would be needed in two locations and the technician said that in all liklihood additional weight would be needed once the weight was put on. He documented the results on a company work order which I would need to return the wheel, per Scott Drake instructions. After discussing the situation with Scott Drake, I was told that I could either ship the wheel to Scott Drake in Nevada or to the company where I purchased the wheel, VCM. Since Scott Drake would not pay for the return shipping, I decided to send the wheel back to VCM which is in Virginia where I live. I discussed the situation with the representative from VCM and was told that they would not pay for return shipping unless Scott Drake concluded that the wheel in fact could not be balanced. After several discussions between Scott Drake, VCM and me, I sent the wheel back to VCM on 5/10/12 with the understanding that I would get reimbursed for the cost of the wheel and the original shipping that I paid for and that the return shipping would be reimbursed if/when Scott Drake determined that the wheel could not be balanced. I went out of town for several weeks expecting that my full initial payment would be credited by the time I returned in three weeks. Upon checking with a VCM representative on 6/4/12, I was informed that the wheel had been received, but that no action had been taken on my credit. The representative was not the person I talked to originally and could not explain the delay but said they would get the person I talked to call me the next day. I did not receive a call on 6/5/12 so that night I sent an email asking to the representative I had talked to ask why no credit had been issued more than 3 weeks after I had returned the wheel. On 6/6/12, I received a response that the credit had been issued and that a paper copy had been put in the mail. I received the paper copy in the mail on 6/7/12. However, the credit did not include the shipping that I paid for originally and a note said that I may get the shipping refunded after Scott Drake had inspected the wheel. So, at this point, I have paid double shipping without credit for a wheel that two separate tire stores have determined can not be balanced. I do not have a problem with a defective part, per se, but I am not satisfied with the response by VCM where at least 2 phone calls were not returned and they are not being responsive on returning my shipping costs.
