Susie is a very enthusiastic, honest and capable realtor. She has helped me sell my town home, sell a lot, and purchase both a sinlgle family and most recently a town home in Alexandria. She provides great knowledge of the process and has experience in lot/land sales and development, renovating homes and sales. I have known her over 20 years and have always trusted her to be nothing less than 100% up front and to the point. She would never sell you something unless she believed in her heart it was a good option for her client. Susie has a Class A Contractor license and quickly can help assess the potential cost associated with items that may need addressing. She does this free of charge to help her clients. May I add that she has great taste in decor and even offered to help me decorate my home when I moved in as a courtesy to me as a client. She is down to earth and can work with both lower income buyers and yet experienced enough to sell a high end home. The service provided was excellant.  Sold one condo for $40 grand more than listed so we could pay cash for new condo.  Susie Wertjes offered to pay for new condo in case other condo did not sell before settlement on new condo!  She did a great job.  She is a wonderful realtor. Very prompt and professional. I have listed another condo with her and she is fixing it up so it will sell for more money.  She works hard and will stay on top of it to make sure you are happy with the results.

The marketing of our home was great. We had people wantingnto look at the townhouse even before it was on the market officially....a great job in such a slow market....the house basically sold in a day to the satisfaction of all.

I was referred to Susie in January 2012 by a friend. I was seriously thinking of going with another agent, but fortunately, my friend encouraged me to choose Susie. She worked with us to have everything in excellent condition and even brought over a few staging items to add the perfect touch.Our house sold higher than we expected it to and we had two contracts in just three days. We were extremely impressed with the way she handled our transaction and helped us with our decision making between the two offers.Additionally, I purchased a townhouse for myself and I wanted to live in one of three particular neighborhoods, and preferably one of them. Susie put out brochures letting the residents know that she had a qualified buyer. On the first day, a seller responded in my first choice neighborhood and Susie met with the seller. She wound up listing the home and selling it to me and did it for a discount, which was very generous.I never would have been able to get a home in that neighborhood without a bidding war in that price range if it wasn’t for Susie. Her creative idea helped us find a house that was not on the market yet.I would highly recommend her to anyone needing any kind of real estate help. She is also a fabulous designer and helped me arrange most of the contractors to do the work in my new house and helped me with color selections as well.

June 1st is the date we closed on our new house. Actually Susie worked with us for about 4 months before this. We went out looking for a new house in February and Susie found a house that we absolutely loved on the first day out. She worked with us late into the night to write a contract, and it was accepted by the sellers shortly after. Since it was a short sale we had to wait more than a month before the bank accepted our offer. That's when the trouble started. It turned out that the house had some major defects with the plumbing. Susie was there with us for all the inspections and was knowledgeable about all aspects of the process. She suggested several options but we decided to take another look around and see if any other houses had come on the market in the meantime. Susie showed us a few more houses and finally found one that was perfect for us. $305,000 was more than we thought we could afford, but Susie referred us to the most amazing mortgage company that was able to give us a low enough interest rate that we were able to afford it. I know that interest rates in general are low these days, but our credit is just average, and we only had $10,000 to put down. Susie gave us as much attention as I would expect from an agent expecting a huge commission. She was there with us every step of the way, and has followed up after the sale to see if we are still satisfied. But "satisfied" does not begin to describe the feeling of living in the home that I know will be the last one I ever buy. It might have been better for her if we found a good enough house that we would want to sell in a few years and move up, but thanks to Susie my husband and I now live in the house where our children will bring their children to visit for years to come.
