I was recommended to them by a realtor. I had put my home up on the market. She came in to take care of items that were on an inspection list. It is a relatively small company and he is one of the workers. He actually comes out and does the work. I think he is just trying to get started and what have you. I appreciate the fact that he is skilled and licensed and insured for all different types of works. Sometimes you can hire a plumber and that's all they do or hire an electrician and that's all they do. This man does multiple things. It's really ideal if you need small home improvement projects or in my case, an inspection checklist. He was really good about coming in and seeing what needed to be done, run off to go get it, come back and fix it. He gave me a timeline that he was able to meet. The price was reasonable. When my realtor recommended him to me, she did say that sometimes you have to keep calling him and you do. When he said he was going to be there he was there. When he made the commitment, he was there.

I recently bought a condo and when we moved in we realized that several light switches in the condo appeared to not control any outlets or overhead lights. The tech came out and assessed each switch and fixed two switches that were mis-wired and connected two outlets so they run off of the correct switch.

"Thank you for the review. This work was performed through a home warranty and the customer was required to pay a deductible, the deductible was collected and the additional fee was billed to the warranty company. Not sure why the F rating for price."

Do to my cancer related speech problems, I must have a far larger degree of trust in Handyman's performance and cost than I normally would. With Soko I found this trust was misplaced. He provided supporting water heater and price data on two different instances reflecting ed specific water units at a higher price than the one installed. Specifically, the water unit installed was an unit far cheaper than what was represented. When I questioned him on this, he refused to provide an appropriate answer and just hired a Collection Agency.

"[Member name removed], I am sorry that a price upfront was provided and your go ahead to proceed to replace the unit was given. When it came for payment time you refused payment. In fact you sent us documents to take you to court instead of paying your bills. To date you still have an outstanding balance due. We had no other option then to get a demand letter for payment. This was all over, you asked us for our invoices on the parts and supplies. You have no right to our bills for materials. Do you go and buy a pizza and them the toppings are two expensive and not pay for them? As a contractor in business for 8 years you are the first customer to not pay us. Not sure if you have money problems or what. Thank you for the slander on here and Yelp. As we know at Soko Services and our reputation in the community, the problem lies with you not paying your bills. We even offered a discount on the services and you still opted not to pay us in full."
