Oscar The Master

Oscar's team arrived on time every day. They protected all the furniture and floors as they worked and cleaned up every night when they left. The paint job looks amazing. His prices were competitive. He has excellent ratings on Thumbtack. Oscar even encouraged us to review their work each evening and let them know if touch ups were needed when they returned. We will definitely hire them again!

I could have done better myself - even though I never painted a wall I hired Oscar the so-called master to paint my 2 bedroom apartment. While they had plenty of time to do a perfect job, the final result result was very poor and the interactions we had to have with Oscar were very unprofessional. Talking about results: Oscar and his crew had all of three weeks to make sure he did a perfect job on our condo while we were traveling. But when we arrived, surprise! Sections of our walls had not been painted at all, other walls showed the original color, and others had cracks and chips. But here's my favorite part, they also painted some walls the wrong color. While they did come back to "fix it" the results are still really bad. Talking about interactions: Unprofessional is the word. In our attempts to improve the awful delivered by Oscar's crew we had to exchange several emails with him and interact with his crew as well. A few of the pleasant experiences you can expect while interacting with Oscar are: (i) various explanations as to why your wall cannot be properly painted; (ii) no response to emails for days, (ii) after not responding to emails for days Oscar's crew will show up at your door at a time of their choosing to fix the issue, and if denied entry will become aggravated. Given the poor quality of the services rendered we were hoping for a Master refund. But it's looking like we are going to file a Master claim in small claims!

They did an outstanding job -  the crew was thorough, friendly, and carefully cleaned up after their work.  They were punctual and did everything to ensure our satisfaction.  Later, when I needed assistance with another project, I contacted Oscar again.  I am delighted to report that he was equally reliable and conscientious.  My husband and I will hire him again when a home repair need surfaces in the future.

Oscar was nice enough, but the work was less than average. I got his name off Angie's list, he had an a. The smaller patch jobs were okay enough, but the main job was terrible. They got spackle in my grout, on the non-worked on wall, and on my tile. They did it in 4 hours, so it was evident they did not come back to sand, I had to do it because I was moving the next week! Anyway, I posted pictures. I did not give him the opportunity to fix it because i was moving the following week and didn't want to deal with more scheduling issues as we did before.

You would not believe the hole in our ceiling.  We had contractor after contract tell us they could not and would not fix it.  Therefore, we had a massive hole in the ceiling to the attic for about 3 months.We have a very large curved staircase that is open to the 2nd floor ceiling.  The major hole was in the center of the opening of the staircase and extremely difficult to access.  Oscar came in to provide the quote and did not blink an eye.  Finally we found someone who was honest and new what they were doing!!  Oscar came in with 1 other crew member, they  laid down very large drop clothes and tarped off the entire staircase, which is a massive area.  They then patched the hole, taped, painted, and cleaned up after they were done.  My husband is extremely picky and after studying the area, we could not see the patch at all.  We will definitely hire Oscar in the future for drywall and any other work he offers.  

Oscar Aceituno and his crew were amazing.  They did a fabulous job painting a very long rakeboard which ran the length of the

entire roof.  It was a daunting (and somewhat dangerous) job, but they delivered a great finished product.  They also painted a patio door and re-fastened many feet of satellite cable that had come loose over the years.  This was not an easy job -- and the end result was perfection.  I was expecting to see a good job, of course?but the finished work far exceeded my expectations.  Oscar was very responsive to all of my questions throughout; he arrived on time to perform the work; and the price was far lower than any other bids I had received.  I wholeheartedly and highly recommend Oscar Aceituno.

Hired Oscar to repair two small-medium sized holes in basement bath drywall. Oscar repaired drywall, painted affected areas of wall and affixed towel rack which was not installed properly initially. All work was done in an excellent, professional, responsive manner and the paint work was seamless. Would definitely hire Oscar "The Master" again for any and all drywall and painting jobs. Thank you Oscar!

Oscar showed up every morning at exactly 7:30 he was like a Swiss watch. He brought a team of guys each one specializing in something different. Each morning they laid down blankets on the stairs and hallways to protect the wood floors. Each night they would remove them and clean up. His guys worked all day without talking or goofing around. They were all like machines which was fantastic. They did the work quickly, it took 6 days from start to finish. On the last day Oscar had a cleaning crew come in and clean everything. Dust settled here and there such as the stair railing and baseboards. The cleaners scrubbed everything on their hands and knees. The house looked cleaner after he left then when he started which my wife appreciated. My wife and I are extremely happy with the quality of work. The work performed has such good quality it looks like the changes were always part of the house. I love having an office now and my daughter really enjoys her new bigger bedroom. The kitchen has been transformed with the travertine tile and crown molding Oscar installed.
The only advice I can give Oscar is to change the name of his company. I was hesitant to hire him because I thought he would only be good at drywall. "Oscar the master of drywall" does not give you a warm fuzzy when you are asking for intricate tile work to be done. But the truth is Oscar has a team of guys each one with their own specialty. Oscar runs a tight ship and each guy works hard and never goofs around.

Went great! He was on time each day, usually bringing 2 helpers. They stopped by the home improvement store in the mornings for materials then as soon as they arrived at my home, went straight to work. I also want to mention that they laid down tarps on my floor not to track anything on my hardwood or carpet.

They offered a much lower price than the competition, so at first I was a little concerned about how the quality of the work would turn out. I need not have worried, as they were puntual, efficient, neat, and the work was good quality.

All work was performed satisfactorily and special care was taken to protect antiques and clean up all residue as work was completed. The owner and his crew provide excellent customer service and responsiveness.
