Removed 99% of the stains and very dirty areas I had. One thing they need to do better is explain the PERT treatment process better. It is a two visit process with at least a day in between the. That meant the house was in complete disarray for three days.

The original date scheduled for the service, a representative called and stated their tech was running late on an earlier job. Because this wouldn't work with my schedule, the representative scheduled me to a new date/time that worked well for me. The representative was very professional and worked with me to schedule to a new date/time that worked better for me.
The day of the service, 2 people showed up (they were actually early, and had notified me they would be early, which was fine with me). They reviewed what areas of the house needed to be cleaned, and provided me a specific cost for all the services (which was about 27 dollars more than the online estimate). I told them this price was fine and they brought in all their equipment and started working immediately.
It was not requested or required, but I assisted them with moving some of the furniture. I did not mind helping and made things quicker for them. They did the entire carpeting in the house, and moved the larger pieces back (and placed discs under the large items to keep the legs off the carpet). All the smaller items remained in other rooms and I told them I would move those back after the carpet dried.
Our carpets are old and quite dirty and worn. They turned out a lot cleaner than I expected, and none of the carpet was very wet (which is one reason I decided to go with this company -- their claim is they use less water than other companies). There were a few spots remaining, but considering how bad they were to start with, I was very pleased with how everything turned out. The carpet dried in about 6 hours, but I waited about 12 hours before I moved everything back in place and removed the discs under the large items.
I would definitely use this company/location again, and would definitely recommend them. Their price seems about average with other companies in the area -- seems high but I guess that is what is charged in our area and for the typical house sizes in this area.

Technicians arrived within the window given and provided an estimate prior to service.  The carpet took about 45min-an hour to clean.  I stayed off the carpet the recommended 5-6 hours for drying.  I am very pleased with the results and service from this company.  Would use this company in the future and would recommend for friends.

Excellent staff! They did an excellent job.

His comment was: "everything cleaned up great, paint is permanent, and rug left discoloration." There was a paint in one area, you can hardly see it, but it was there and he couldn't get it out but it was very little paint. The work that he did looks fine once he cleaned. He was very professional. He's been with the company for a while and he's professional.

Way too expensive for what they did and time spent at my house. I was desperate before holiday company so used them but would not use them again. Some stains reappeared...smell was improved though.

Excellent results! The technician was very professional and took great care with our furniture, walls and floors. I rated them a and quot;Band quot; on responsiveness only because I've had other services that responded to messages faster; not that they were bad, just I've experienced others even faster. This is not a criticism of the company or their service. They were excellent. I'd recommend them to anyone.

They were quick and did a great job. They showed up on time and they had booties over their shoes to protect the carpet. They did offer more than they advertised for but other than that the service was good.

Three days later it was gone. They are always professional and on time. Their quotes are very accurate. They can be more expensive but the results are worth it.

they arrived on time. they were very polite. they did upsell to a deeper cleaning process after looking at the carpet. it was in pretty bad shape. they did their work quickly but thoroughly. afterward, they pointed out a few places on the carpet that couldn't be completely cleaned and explained why. honestly, I couldn't really see them - they had to point them out to me. the carpet dried just like they said and even months later, no stains reappeared.

okay so I had an appointment on May 1 and at May 4. I received the Pet Urine Removal Treatment (P.U.R.T. II) ,deep clean, sanitizing, as well as the carpet cleaning. The first appointment was to pour the (P.U.R.T. II) all over the carpet. You have to do this at least 2 days prior but it is good for 10 days. I had to use 6-7 gallons of the treatment. Let me tell you I have 3 dogs and my carpet were saturated with pet urine even all the area rugs were saturated. I was embarrassed totally. But Ed was very professional about the whole situation. I didn't even know my carpets was that bad, until they turned on the black light. Ed suggested that I replace the carpet, but I thought it would be more expensive so I decided to do everything to see the results. I am glad I made this decision. Today when Ed and John (or Joe) cleaned my carpet I would say it looks brand new. I am very very pleased with their work. It means a lot of to me. I am happy I did not have to replace my carpet. I am so please, I started crying to my husband about the work they have done, because on May 1 when they poured the PURT II treatment, my carpet looked terrible. I should've took a before and after picture. I got my steps cleaned for free because I had a coupon. I also recieved $25 off for the pet treatment because i used more than 2.

This is my second time using this company. Last year my husband was here when they cleaned our carpet. He was very impressed also. I will use this company again.

The Pet urine removal treatment is $60 a gallon with $25 off when you purchase more than 2. I got my carpet deep cleaned, sanitized also. Great work, great work!!!

You get what you pay for, and I have to say every penny spent was worth it.

I needed my condo's carpet cleaned so that I could put it on the market. After receiving estimates, I selected Barr to do it. They managed to get in despite a difficult front desk and did a fantastic job. Because they cleaned the carpet thoroughly, I was able to save the expense of replacing the carpet, and so saved probably $1,000.
I had kept the carpet in fairly good condition in my three years at the condo, but, as always, there were always spots that needed cleaning and where I hadn't been able to vaccuum.

They did a great job. They got off pet stains that I thought for sure we would have to replace the whole carpet. They were clean and efficient. Their price was very reasonable for the work they did. I would have them back in a second.

We had previously used Potomac Services for carpet cleaning and liked the ChemDry process (we had read up on the different processes and the danger of moisture and mildew setting within the carpet padding while using more traditional steam-cleaning processes). Barr looking like they were in the business for a while and had expertise that included water damage. We had water leak into the Family Room during superstorm Sandy, and although we dryed things out as best we could, we were concerned about mildew setting in.
It's also a high-traffic area with young kids, so we knew the room was due for professional cleaning anyway.
Customer service was great on the phone. The person asked some initial diagnosis questions that indicated to me they were used to dealing with and discerning problems from customers and potential customers even if the customers didn't know or didn't divulge all the information. A business that is ready to be frank and do expectation management is always good in my book.
They do have a minimum charge for coming out, but that was something I expected. I was also pleased they could come out so soon, though since it sounded like we weren't in dire straits from Sandy, we scheduled for a Saturday when both my wife and I could be home.
They gave us a three-hour window for that upcoming Saturday afternoon. When the day came, the hours ticked by and no word. They had indicated they would call a half-hour before arriving (as many service providers do). As it was getting closer to the end of the day and we had not heard word, I gave the main number, but was only able to leave a message. However, shortly after that, I received a call from the technicians that they were en route from Falls Church. Someone at the main office had gotten my message and wanted to make sure they knew. My guess is since they're in Woodbridge, we were to be their last stop on the way back to home base. When we spoke to the technicians, they indicated it had been a pretty full day -- and so the schedule had slipped.
Once they arrived, they took the time to go through an on-site inspection and which treatments they would advise or not advise. The actual work was relatively quick.
Granted, the carpet is from 2010 already, but after the treatment, it really looked brand, spanking new -- and I'm hoping it will take the kids at least two more years before we need the thorough professional cleaning again.

This was a great experience. They were able to come early the first day to apply the enzyme cleaner (it needs to be applied at least 48 hours before the carpet is cleaned to allow it to work) so they called to see if it was possible to come early. They were professional, showed me the areas of concern and worked with me on the price to be sure I felt that it was fair. On the second visit, 3 days later, they came on time (called ahead to let us know when they would be arriving). We had removed the small tables and things to make it easier for them but they would have done so for us. They (father/daughter team) worked well together both quickly and efficiently. The pets spots were removed and the carpet smells fresh! Their price was great, their work was great, they were friendly and responsible. We will be calling them again.

Setting up appointment was easy and office was courteous. They showed up about an hour late, but did call to let me know they were running behind. We used a coupon we received in a mailer, and they tried to upsell us on numerous items, but were not pushy when we turned them down. They worked very quickly and did a good job and took care to protect the walls and floors from the hoses. Overall, they did a great job for the price.
