This is a very tardy review, but I kept the receipt so I would know who to praise when I finally wrote a review.
My elderly parents had two dogs. Those dogs, while cute, were not very good about and quot;holding itand quot; until they got outside. As a result, the carpets were in a very bad way and I was concerned for my parents. I live out-of-state, work full-time, and could only visit them periodically. When talking by phone, I would periodically ask my parents about having the carpets cleaned, but they kept putting it off. In late 2009, I firmly asked my father to arrange for the carpets to be cleaned during my next visit scheduled for January 2010. Our plan was to buy new living room furniture and have it delivered two days after the carpet cleaning.
As it turns out, the day that the carpets were to be cleaned was also a day that snow fell. If you know this area of the country (Tri-Cities, TN), you know that snow causes businesses and schools to close. I live in the Chicago area, so the light dusting that I saw on the ground was no reason for an appointment to be missed. The company called to reschedule the appointment. I spoke with Angie. She was very nice, but hesitant to keep the appointment because of the dangers of driving in the snow. However, in the end, she agreed to send someone out after I explained that I was only in town for a few days and desperately needed the carpets cleaned on the appointed date.
The individual who came to clean the carpets, Jamie, had to bring his son with him since the schools were closed. Jamie did a wonderful job steam cleaning, deodorizing, and scotch-guarding the living room and hallway carpets. We were all VERY happy with the results. Jamie's son was also very sweet and helped by playing with the two dogs which kept them off of the carpets while they were being cleaned..
My parents are now both deceased, but I still appreciate the extra effort that Carpet Care-O-Van made to provide such excellent customer service. Carpet Care-O-Van really went the extra mile!
