Mark told me that he was going to use a Trex material to build the ramp and that is why it was going to cost $5,000.00. Instead, he used a similar material that if he did the whole job correctly would only cost about $3,000.00. He did not get a permit, which got me in trouble with the town. He did not build it to code so it is not a safe ramp and is unusable. It makes access to my house impossible by the front door because the ramp is attached to the top step and he cut that in half. He did not finish the job, and when I tried to contact him he would not answer. Instead, his wife would call me back and ask if I had a problem. He said that the parts that were not finished are just esthetic, and that the ramp was usable to go down. Another reason he gave was because there was a stop work order so that he could not finish. The stop work order was only there, because he did not get a permit to do and finish the job and because he had not done the job to code.
Description of Work: I paid them $5,000.00 to build and install a wheelchair ramp.
