PAWLIK HARDWOOD FLOORS

I called many companies to fix a gap in my hardwood floor. This company was the only one to respond therefore I just went with it. The workers were unprofessional, overly flirtatious, and when they hit my "new" floor with a hammer leaving a dent they told me they could just leave it or charge me an additional sum to fix their mistake.

He assured me he had done dark finishes before.  I gave him a sample of what I wanted and he tried to get me to use a color he had, but was not quite what I wanted. His stain was red and I wanted something more like chocolate or coffee.  I drove around  and shopped and bought some of the stain myself.  I was under the impression he would find the stain, but he said he couldn't find it, so I drove miles around looking for it.  I feel sure he could have ordered it on-line.   I had assumed the owner was going to do the work, but he sent some boys out instead.  There was a board that had a bad place in it, and they were going to sand extensively instead of replacing it.  We had to insist that they replace the board.  They began in master bedroom & were applying it thick so it would be dark enough , but then realized they wouldn't have enough, so began applying less and less and it was lighter and lighter throughout the house.  I actually did one step of the staining  myself, according to the can directions, and he said he didn't have time to do that.  After it was all done & we got furniture in, the polyurethane started peeling.  It was like walking on potato chips.  We did call him to come out.  He did not want to remedy it, but did give us $600 back.  However, that was not even close to the cost of having to take all the furniture out again and have someone else resand, restain, and refinish the floors again.
