+ -1 moreI have used Spring Clean/Mr. Dan Hicks to wash my windows for several years. Previously I always got an estimate from Dan in advance. This year I just asked for the windows to be cleaned and I assumed the price would be similar to the previous years (about $375). This time Mr. Hicks was here two days to clean the windows and charged me 16 hours at $50/hour for a total of $800! I commented to him that this was twice as much as I previously paid and the job was similar to before. He insisted that he was here the full two days (which I observed he was) and then added that "perhaps I moved slower this year". I usually get estimates before commencing work but thought that since I had previous satisfactory work from Dan that it was not necessary. Now I know to ALWAYS get an estimate.
