Basement Remodel, Water Heater Service + 1 more
Overall, the process was very unpleasant as the contractor demonstrated that neither he nor his team had the skill to complete a rather simple basement refinish. Some of the issues that the homeowner has had to deal with include:
1. A newly installed bathroom cabinet fell from the ceiling and broke;
2. A leak occurred in the basement ceiling because when the drywall was installed a water pipe was punctured;
3. Two new water heaters were installed at the homeowner's expense because the contractor selected an electric heater when a gas heater was needed;
4. Seems on drywall throughout the finished basement are separating due to poor quality;
5. The finished design on the bathroom was not agreed on in the original contract;
6. Unnecessary holes were cut into walls and the HVAC due to the contractor's lack of knowledge of the system;
