CURRENT CONNECTION

A couple of weeks ago the amplifier in our home theater system began shutting off whenever there was any loud burst of sound from a DVD movie soundtrack. In the past we had experienced amplifier troubles in our system that took a very long time to rectify, so this new problem concerned us very much. A neighbor had used Mr.Yeager from "Current Connections" a few years before and had highly recommended him. We gave him a call. He came promptly on the day agreed and went right to work. He tested the system and all the wires and found a loose connection on the back of one of our right lateral speakers. He tightened the connection properly and cured the problem. I was surprised that it wasn't an amplifier issue but a speaker problem. He explained that The amp was detecting the short and was defensively shutting down whenever it occurred.
   After the repair, we asked if he could look at our CD player. It is located in our second, older and complicated entertainment center. It had not worked for years. He inspected it and restored it's operation by simply rerouting a connection so that it could be played again.
   We were very happy with Mr. Yaeger's work. His fees were reasonable and we both felt we were very fortunate that we were able to access his services.
