I retired in September of 2012 and needed to find a financial planner to help select the best vehicle for my 401K funds. I found Marianne Shepard's listing on Angie's list and decided to make an appointment. My wife and I were able to get an appointment very quickly. We were comfortable with Marianne form the beginning. She is a delightful person! She is professional, responsive, knowledgeable, efficient, patient, and maintained focus on our needs for the future throughout the process. She went to great lengths to explain our options and we never felt that we were being pushed to products that would not meet our needs. We are currently working with her on some other financial/insurance needs. We highly recommend her.

I met Marianne about 3 years ago, and we set up an annuity program for my mother which gave her some monthly income while preserving her initial investment. She was very knowledgable, professional, very personable and friendly, and I felt we could really trust her. She did a wonderful job with mom's annuity, and we had no problems with the account after my mom passed away earlier this year. I also have her managing my 401K during these most frightening times, and I am very pleased with the steady growth I am seeing in my account. Recently, she did an analysis of my insurance policies, and found some holes in the programs that need to be remedied. She is a no-pressure, extremely knowledgable, highly intelligent professional and I will continue to call on her for all my financial planning needs. She is a real gem!!!!
