Went well except there was some confusion on the price of the trans flush service. Received an estimate of 190.00 for the transmission service and then at service time the price was 40 dollars more. They quickly corrected the issue to match my original estimate and with no hassle.
When the vehicle was having the trans flush the tech noticed a leak at the rear differential where the drive shaft meets the rear end. They took me out showed me the leak and advised replacement to extend the life of the rear-end.
Good catch on Sheehy techs part......not sure how long the leak was there but was obviously missed at the other Ford dealer who I no longer do business with.
I want to start by writing this dealer has my business as long as I am in this area for life!
Very honest, dependable and this dealer knows what they are doing!
My car was previously serviced at another Ford dealer who only threw parts at the vehicle at my expense and they still could not fix the problem after I spent 1,200 dollars! I even took the car back and they stated that's how the car is suppose to ride after their fix did nothing! They basically installed parts that they recommended would fix the ride issue and OF COURSE it didn't! Also their diagnosis was poor at best.
I was informed by a friend that Sheehy Ford in Ashland Va will diagnosis it right the first time. I took my vehicle to Sheehy Ford Dealer and the professionalism was off the charts. They really cared about fixing my car.
There was a little bit of a wait however that's expected when you go to a place with an honest reputation and receives a ton of business. I was there for about 15 minutes and a technician came out and said lets go for a ride. He even stopped to wash his hands and placed plastic on his side of the vehicle due to him driving. So that alone was impressive....nothing like the other dealer.
We drove about half a block hit a few valleys in the road and he knew right away the shocks and struts were the culprit / problem.They gave me a estimate and it was spot on exactly...no surprises nothing just what they stated it would cost. I dropped the car off and there were no hassles what so ever. I was kind of skeptical for the simple reason of what happened at the other dealer in Fredericksburg VA. Wow was I wrong the car rode like a dream and it was finally fixed!!! Their diagnosis was right on the money I was really impressed and will not take my Fords anywhere else. Do yourself a favor deal with Sheehy save yourself the headache, time from work, vacation time, worry and money. Get it done right at Sheehy Ford in Ashland Va. I'm sold!!!
Frank Tinney is the Service Manager and his staff, techs, advisors are excellent!!! Always willing to help out where they can and have experts who get it done right the first time!!!
