He was supposed to be looking at my roof and it never even happened.

It was fine.  They replaced a small 6x6 spot on our roof.

These guys did a great job. Good price, great workmanship, on time, replaced bad plywood as needed, cleaned up very well.

When I called, I was informed that they were a family-owned company. My neighbor saw a white van with several men driving up and down the street the day before they were start the roof. They did it 2 times that day, which I thought was odd. The day they were scheduled to come out, they showed up on time; however the workers didn't speak any English. The one worker, who spoke a little English, asked if he could use my bathroom. We had a bad storm several days prior, and my power had been out for 4 days at that point, so we had no hot water. I didn't want to be rude to the workman, so I hesitantly gave him a flashlight and showed him to the bathroom. I waited at the top of the stairs for him and when he came out, the water in the sink was still running, but I was unaware because the toilet flushing made enough noise so I couldn't hear it. I came back from work around 5 that day, and noticed the sink had been running a WHOLE day (from 8:30am-5pm) I called the supervisor and informed him of what happened and he replied and ldquo;you didn't have to let them in.and rdquo; I already knew I didn't have to, so I felt like he was being very sarcastic. I had a $14 increase in my water bill the next month, and I asked them kindly if they would consider paying the $14 increase. Not the whole bill just the $14. He said he was sorry, but they couldn't do that. I didn't think that was fair. His attitude was non-caring, rude and inconsiderate. After the roof was completed, I had to have them come back a few days later to pick up all the nails that were everywhere. And last, but not least, they threw all the old tiles onto a tarp onto of my flowerbed, crushing all the plants underneath that I was very fond of. The whole experience was less than pleasant, and I wouldn't recommend Hanover when 2 of my neighbors complimented how good my roof looked. I love the roof now, but the project itself wasn't a good experience.

Overall Great experience with Hanover Roofing. Got a few estimates but after speaking to a neighbor (a retired contractor) that had their roof replaced by Hanover Roofing a few yrs ago, I called for an estimate. Josh was very nice / not pushy; very respectful that this is a huge decision. He answered all my subsequent questions (always responding quickly - and there were more than a few LOL). He provided addresses to view the different colors we were considering. I'm one of the geeky people that watches Mfg installation videos. Hanover Roofing installed all roofing as expected! No short cuts - no extra charges. Roofing crew very polite and neat. All went as expected. Josh was very responsive at my concern that a few shingles didn't lay flat after a week of hot sunny weather and sent crew out the day after I spoke with him. I have no doubt that if issues arise in the future - Hanover Roofing will stand by their work. I am very pleased with the outcome and highly recommend them. They are rated A+ with the BBB and (in my opinion) are very very fair with their pricing. The company has been in business for a while + is a family business so customers don't 'get lost' / get great customer service. For the record I have no connection to this business or any of their employees just want to give props where due. Also a new roof is such a huge expenditure that I want others to know that I had a wonderful experience. I'd like to nominate them for a POH and Super Service Award! :)

All I can say about Hanover Roofing is: excellent.
The young man (Josh Netherwood) who met with us was knowledgable with his product and others available on the market. While I don't remember the price, I will say that he did not push us to buy the more expensive level---which he could have since we knew *nothing*!! His crew was professional, positive, and efficient. Also he, personally, came daily to check on the job. After they completed the roofs, they cleaned the area and lt;almostand gt; perfectly. I say and quot;almostand quot; because, even though they rolled their magnet to clean up the nails, some were left. (I am picky about objects that could cut my dogs' or my feet!) I called Josh after everything had been done to ask about the nails that were left. He explained that since the magnet doesn't work well when the ground is wet, he would send a crew out as soon as the ground dried. I never had to call him again.
(I have to mention here: I have since found out, from experience with another contractor, that what nails were left were FAR LESS than many other contractors, yet he came back to make sure we were happy with his work.)
I told Josh that I would gladly be a reference, and promised him that if I ever had a chance to rate his company I would--no question! (I was not a member of Angie's List or any other rating group at the time, so now I'm fulfilling that promise!!!)

The son of the owner showed up on time to do the estimate for roof repairs on an older house. I showed him through the house so that he could see where the leaks were located. He then got his ladder off the truck and placed it against the gutter because the ladder did not have legs which would have allowed him to put the ladder up without bending the gutter. I asked him to return with a ladder that would not bend the gutter, or take full responsibility for repairing gutter damage. He was unwilling to take that responsibility, but would be glad to send out an employee who would do a complete roof examination for $250.
I reminded him that I called to get a free estimate, not one that cost $250, so he said he would send one of his employees out later that day or early the next day to complete the That was three days ago and no one has been out to examine the roof. Even if his company made an estimate, I would not use that firm.

Received a very prompt call back in less than 24 hours, and an estimate within 24 hours of the roof being inspected. The repair estimate was reasonable as I was willing to pay a fair price for a professional and thorough job, as I wanted to remove any chance for leaks that could cost even more. The initial repairs did not meet my expectations in a few places. I was very impressed at how much ownership they took of the issues that I raised and how concerned they were with the quality of their work and their reputation. They immediately returned to redo a few items. Let's face it, sometimes mistakes happen, but all too often companies will not take ownership of mistakes as rework cuts in to profits. That was not the case with Hanover Roofing. Josh represented them well and I would use them again. I would also give them an A rating on quality if they hadn't had to make the return trip.

They responded to my call for an estimate in 24 hours. Were out in a few days and I received a professional written estimate within 24 hours. Repair work was completed within a week of signing the contract. I had some issues with the repairs, and they were very responsive to come back and address them quickly and profesionally. They seem to genuinely care about the quality of the work they do and the reputation of their company. I would use them again and would recommend them to others.

Hanover Roofing was a pleasant experience from estimate to payment. Josh phoned ahead for our appointment, arrived on time, created the estimate on the spot, and was slightly less expensive than other estimates. His crew was prompt, efficient, clean and neat. They replaced our entire roof, examining and replacing one sheet of plywood. When the dumpster dug two short grooves in the lawn after a rain, Josh himself filled in the spots and you can't even tell it happened. He said the crew would be done in two days and done they were. Everything cleaned up and sparkling new. I couldn't be happier and have asked for an estimate on another outbuilding.

The roofers arrived at 7 A:M as agreed. They began work right away and worked continually until approximately 2 p:m. After lunch break, they worked until about 7 P:M.
The gutters were cleaned and the yard was almost cleaned. There are plants and flowers in the front yard and a vegetable garden in the back yard, close to the house. After I inquired about the future condition of my gardens would be. I was informed that they may not survive. The plants and vegetables were crushed to my dismay! The roof was replaced after being invaded by Raccons. Had it not been an emergency, I would have waited until the growing season was over.

Not a very professional approach to Customer Satisifaction. We were VERY Disappointed.

Everything went good. The service was excellent. They did the job in more or less time the time they told us they would. It was a little longer than they said but they did the job efficiently and the follow up was good. The pre roofing service was also good. We have no complaints at all and we are very satisfied.

They cleaned all the gutters and also cleaned a chimney for us. They supplied us with a cover for the fireplace also. The price was very reasonable for all the work they did and it did not take long at all. The gutters were free from all dirt and leaves when they were finished.
