Absolute Stone replaced a bathroom counter for me a few years ago, so I called them for my kitchen counter. I made an appointment, and met Christienne (sp?) at the store. She was very patient looking at slabs with me and even took a lttle extra time over the schedule appointment. She also cheerfully met me, without an appointment, when I came back with a friend to confirm my choice. The workmen who did the template arrived on time and were very professional. The workmen who installed the slab did the same. They did a very nice job and the counter has received a lot of compliments. My only concern is that there was one small section of the slab that I didn't particularly care for; Christienne and I discussed that, and she said that they could probably cut around that section. There was another section that I really loved, and I wanted that section to be highlighted on the peninsula counter. Unfortunately, that message apparently never made it to the stonecutters, because the section I didn't particularly care for is now, unfortunately, the featured peninsula counter. It looks very nice, but I might have chosen a different slab had I known that this one would be cut as it was.

DO NOT try Absolute Stone Design. We picked out a stone for a small corner in our kitchen, to match other counters. Our salesman, Danny, helped us "match" the stone. What we picked out in the parking lot, looks NOTHING like what was delivered to our house. The new counters do not match our others AT ALL. When speaking with a manager, Danny lied about steps he took to help us. Horrible service. I am very disappointed that we spent $450 to have counters that look terrible in our kitchen.

They have a great selection and were very helpful in guiding us to choose stone that would work for all of our needs. When we needed a smaller piece for a window sill, they offered the same level of service for the very small job.

These guys are great. They installed our kitchen counters two years ago and did the wet bar the year after that. This year is the bathroom. They are responsive and punctual and do a great job. They have a remnant section that is lower cost while still being beautiful stone.

We were able to pick out our specific slab of granite from their selection. They measured our countertops and gave us an estimate. They gave us some suggestions regarding backsplash, and designed a small granite "sill" for a pass-through on one of the walls. We removed the old countertops and sink ourselves to save some money. They came and installed the countertops and under-mount sink promptly when scheduled. We had them drill holes for the faucet and soap dispenser which we installed ourselves. It looks great, even with our old tired cabinets and floor.

This contractor did an amazing job. My girlfriend and I met them at their shop and they listened to exactly what we needed/wanted and were very accommodating. After going over some basics about granite and the various levels (which I found very informative) we walked outside and hand-picked our slab. They then went over how they planned to cut the slab to meet our needs and valued our input. Exactly one week after picking the slab, they visited my house to 'map' the counter-tops, cut and finished the granite and installed them.
I highly recommend them as they offer a great finished product at a very reasonable price.
Thank you, Absolute Stone Design on a job very well done!

Absolute Stone and Design doesn't look like much from the street - just a little building with some slabs out front - but don't let that scare you. I found the staff to be very knowledgable, generous with their time, and willing to do whatever it took to make me happy. Because they have a quaint showroom, I found that their fabrication prices were the lowest around yet their workmanship was excellent. They are also located within 5 miles of ARC, a stone wholesaler. So, they can pop in quickly to meet you there and help you narrow your choices.
Gray was the sales person that helped me and he was very patient. When I went through ARC by myself, I got overwhelmed and ended up with 20+ choices. Gray took me through ARC and really helped me narrow my list to a handful of selections that would work with my existing decor and helped me to weigh the pros/cons of each choice. He answered all of my questions, was fair in his pricing, and gave me many samples to bring to my house to see in the room. Then, Val and his team transformed my slab into a beautiful countertop and I can barely tell that there is a seam. Granite is never cheap, but I believe that I got a fair price and it was less than many other quotes that I received. Best yet, I felt very well taken care of through the entire process and I'm very satisfied with the end product.
