All work done is usually done very well. During the first visit we went over all the items that needed attention and what was going to be done. Then throughout the year the team came out and performed all work. Sometimes it feels like email responsiveness could be a bit better but that's very minor.

YLP's guys did an excellent job. They removed the lose pave stones, cleaned them and the surface beneath, and reinstalled them with concrete. It was a very large job involving many pave stones and steps. The work was done quickly and well.

YLP does an excellent job with the full service yard maintenance package. Their workers are all well trained, work hard, and complete the work in a timely manner. They are also always polite and friendly.

"Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The "Big Deal" that was purchased by the member for $49 from Angie was for an initial consultation and 2 hrs of design work. With time restrictions in mind, we completed what we could for the client based on there "priority areas" as they expressed more interest in pricing and estimates for several large projects that they were ready to move forward with. We are disappointed that the member never voiced any concerns to us directly about wanting more expansive design work. We would have been happy to draw up a Landscape Design for the entire yard at our normal hourly rate for any time spent over the initial 2 hours that were used. With that said, over the course of 3 months we spent several hours working with the clients putting together a total of seven different quotes for them ranging from 5-20k. In the end due to admitted budget constraints they wanted to contract us for $300 worth of that work. We kindly explained that the amount mentioned was outside of our minimum and expressed that we would be happy to work with them in the future as there budget permitted. They are nice people and would still be happy to work with them in the future."

Wow....very impressive and a great value. Alexandra and Frank were a real pleasure to work with and provided tremendous value and service. I had neglected my yard for a couple of years and it was a real disaster. Alexandra worked with me to ensure a very reasonable deal was struck and Frank proceeded to masterfully restore my yard. He diagnosed and treated for slugs and weeds, thatched, aerated composted, and seeded. Within a month it was better than new. I cannot overstate how thankful and impressed I am with their service and professionalism!

On sale, I purchased a reduced aerating and seeding, knowing that whoever did it would probably recommend additional work. I also knew that the yard needed it, having just basic maintance done on it for over five years. They didn't disappoint, making the recommendation to thatch & overseed the bare spots. They also recommended to add soil on top and straw. When I saw the price for all those items, I called them and I pulled out the soil and straw, telling them I'd do that myself.
Without any hesitation, they agreed and we set a date, 10/18, for them to do it. This is important & why I gave them an "A". Without negotiation, the price grade would have dropped to at best "B" as the prices are high to me. But note I do most of my yard work with my sons, so most prices are high.
Starting the night prior and into the morning, we got rain. As soon as they opened, they emailed me (communication choice for me) and moved the date to Friday, unless I declined.
That Friday morning, they showed up, did all the work, and then did a very good job of cleaning up. They even blew out some leaves from my garage!
If the grass they just planted does well, I'll go back to them again. Also, check websites for discounts. They really help and this company showed me no difference for using them.

"We completed the contracted work and charged the credit card per the agreement. There was a lot of highly profitable work on the horizon for us in the way of major landscaping, hardscaping and continued maintenance. Terminating the relationship was a difficult decision from a monetary standpoint but unfortunately we felt it needed to be done."

"I was not late as I arrived to the appointment during the scheduled one hour time frame. The husband was there to greet me. I am guessing this is because the Mrs. had already cancelled and rescheduled three previous appointments so instead of cancelling again arranged for her husband to be there. With this said, I am puzzled as to why we were provided a D for responsiveness and C for professionalism after being extremely flexible by rescheduling several times and not referring them to the help desk to seek a refund . The husband told me this was her project and she was in control of the landscaping (where was she then?). He took me to a small townhouse backyard that was completely bricked in and handed me a picture of an Arizona landscape full of succulents and expressed this was his wife’s style. We discussed the picture for a few moments and agreed that some aspects were not realistic for the area. I mentioned to the Mr. after all of the cancellations we were now meeting during an extremely busy time, compared to the winter months when the deal was originally offered. He was extremely agreeable and told me it was absolutely no rush and would I be okay finishing up on my own as he had to get to work. He departed and I finished my evaluation. Within three weeks I provided them a plan based on Virginia landscaping not Arizona as explained the climates are incomparable! However, the goal was achieved since all of the plants were common, low maintenance, drought tolerant and fit well into the very small space. As for “no follow up”, when I emailed the plan as requested I wrote in the message that I would wait to hear back from them at their convenience to discuss the plans and answer any questions that they may have. Sadly, we were inconvenienced several times but, remained responsive, reliable and professional provided a quality plan and did not harass but, in the end it proved more convenient for the Mrs. to leave negative feedback then contact us to discuss as requested. About the actual plan not what I really wanted. When it did actually arrive (and to be fair I was the one who missed that appointment-my fault not theirs) it was not what I thought I had asked for. Nice people though. Not unhappy with their service just not happy either.

"Thank you for your review. Mr. [Member Name Removed] was a really nice guy. We never heard from him after the plans were delivered to an empty house on the third attempt. We really wish he would have contacted us directly with any concerns as we would have been more than happy to work with him."

The provider returned a month later, with a plan for putting slate steps in front, pulling the bushes I did not like & adding some azaleas in the front. He had no landscape plan the back or side yards. He really did not provide a landscape plan at all!! He gave me an estimate to have his company put in new steps & add a few bushes in the front, trim & add bushes. I was very disappointed! I have had good experiences with other Angie's List purchases but this was a rip off. I have seen plans done by Betty's Azalea for my friends that are real plans & not an estimate.

We purchased the landscape plan for $49 in hopes of getting
some ideas for our back yard, a large empty rectangle surrounded with chain link
fence. I want some way to soften the edges and make the space seem more
connected to the house, deck, and patio. I looked forward to the insights of an
artist; something on paper that could be divided into easily-accomplished mini
projects. I had no start date in mind, and no thoughts about who would do the
work or how much of it could be diy. Everything we eventually do will have to
be on the cheap, since my husband is retired and I am disabled. We live in a
40-year-old tract house in a moderate-income neighborhood, so anything
grandiose makes no sense at all. I purchased a PLAN. That?s all, just a plan. I
tell you all this so you will understand the comments that follow. I?m sure
this company does fine work and the owners and employees are really good
people. I just don?t feel like I got what I hoped for or paid for.
Frank came out for a look-around one day earlier this year.
His first question was, when do we want to start the work? This kind of
blindsided me, since as I mentioned, timeline would be determined by the plan
he would develop, not the other way around. How about a fountain? Maybe a gazebo?
Have we been to their website to see examples of their work? It was a sales
pitch right down the line. He took some pictures and measurements both front
and back, and the meeting concluded.
A couple of weeks later Frank came back to present what he
had come up with. He brought some pretty pictures of some pretty flower gardens
and features, nothing coherent, and nothing practical for our situation. By this point, the ?plan? idea was dead. We
sat and talked a while about what he still might be able to sell us. We decided
to consider two rows of trees that would grow into privacy screens on either
side of the yard for three thousand dollars. We would talk again if we decided
to move forward.
We have been in contact few times since then. At one point
we did commit to the trees, but a supply problem arose and they returned our
deposit. The project has been tabled indefinitely.
Frank, if you?re reading this, I?m sorry. I?m sure you?re a
great guy, but we just never got onto the same page.

Very prompt, very professional, but did not see the value in spending $50 for a series of estimates that most companies provide for free. A minimal, hand drawn sketch was the only item added to a typical estimate. Paying for the estimate was not worth the money, but the people are passionate, responsive and their estimates are within reason. We are still considering hiring them for some projects.

We used them through a deal on Angie's List. It was fine. We haven't moved forward with any of it yet. She was nice enough; we would be willing to visit her again. She was very personable and easy to get along with.

On the first visit they did an excellent job identifying a solution for a problem area in the yard, which we asked them to focus on. We discussed options, agreed on what was needed, and they worked up a detailed plan with several printouts and multiple views, including all specifications. When the plan was complete, they re-visited the site to discuss and explain the plan. There was no pressure to purchase anything. A great experience!

When we moved into our home, it had been empty for quite some time. The landscaping was dead, overgrown and a mess. We had Alexandra from Your Landscape Partner come out and recommend what needed to be done, and to plan each step of how we would get to where we wanted.
YLP came out and removed all of the dead and overgrown bushes, cleaned out the debris and in addition cleaned out a number of old branches collected in the backyard, which had not been part of the deal, for free (it was much appreciated).
We then met Alexandra to plan the new landscaping but when she found out that we were also planning on new windows and siding, she recommended waiting until next season to do this to make the remodeling job easier. This was done even though she knew it would postpone her revenue.
We have also had YLP come out for weekly mowing and this is always done professionally, on time, done well and with no intrusion.
We highly recommend Your Landscape Partner.

Alexandra, the landscaper, is dynamite! I had a poor landscaping job done previously. They laid sod directly on clay and it was a mess. Alexandra was able to fix everything! They filled the patches that weren’t rolled originally and we have done a couple of seasons with top dressing. They have built soil under my grass and it has taken Your Landscape Partner a couple of years to turn it around, but it is just wonderful now! I always have people and neighbors asking me who does my lawn. My lawn is the first to green in the neighborhood. The guys who cut the lawn do it perfectly. They are truly a full service landscaper and great people. They always leave the place spotless when they are done for the day.

I like that they are a small company. They are extremely responsive when answering questions. Alexandra is very polite and easy to work with. Their prices are reasonable. They seem to really care about their customers and understand your needs. They do a good job and are dependable. The workers seem to stay with the company and we tend to get the same employees each week.

They are my landscape partner. I love Alexandra, she is the owners wife, who does all the scheduling and she is their Landscape Architect so she's been out to my place. Set me up for all the services. They've worked with me on getting my lawn fixed after developers put the sod right down on clay, did a bad installation of the sod.
Your Landscape Partner rescued my lawn, so it's actually one of the envy's in the neighborhood.
