There were no problems at all with the mowing, edging, and removal of debris. I have no basis to judge most of the lawn treatments, except to say that I don't notice any dramatic improvements in the overall appearance of most of our lawn. However, the last lawn treatment (a combined weed-killing and seeding) went badly awry and left our yard looking terrible, with large patches of dead grass on our (and a small portion of our neighbor's) lawn in front and back. In answer to my complaint, Mr. Berry came out and after looking at the problem, said that I needed to water it more and that if I did so, new grass would be appearing within two weeks. I did a lot more watering, but absolutely no new grass appeared. I have had to put quite a lot of time into reseeding these areas myself. I've had two knowledgeable people look at the scene, and they have outlined various things that might have gone wrong. One of these would be on me (insufficient watering during a very hot and dry spell), others not (e.g. inadequate seeding, poor quality seed, doing the weed-killing and the seeding out of sequence, using too much weed killer, trying to seed over too much dead grass, etc.). But the bottom line is that our lawn looks bad, and I don't think the problem was taken seriously enough or handled well by Ultra Turf. I'm sorry to have to say these things, because on a personal level everyone at UT has been pleasant and easy to deal with. But I'm just not satisfied with the work that was done.

Long story short, the bank is mailing them the proof of payment and I hope this comes to an end soon. On Monday I also asked one of the owners to call me today, Friday as I was out of town, and I have not heard form anyone, not even to my email walking through what the bank was going to do and again asking to talk to someone. They are very non-responsive to issues

It went great. We had a lot of good recommendations for these people. It is a local company to where we live. The owner actually came and did the estimate. He was here to supervise his workers off and on and they did a great job. It was expensive, but they did a great job. We've gotten a lot of complements on it.

We have had them for many years. We always get compliments on our grass. They do good work.

We have used this company for two years in a row and have loved their service and professionalism. The original company we had just didn't seem able to "diagnose" which type of weeds we had and how to get rid of them, even though we had a monthly service with them. Ultra turf came in treated the problem for a very reasonable monthly price, our grass looks like a beautiful green carpet.

I have contracted with Ultra Turf for several years to provide lawn fertilizing, seeding, aerating.  They turned my weed-choked lawn into a grassy plot.    They did not guarantee overnight results, and were very honest that it might take some time to repair the lawn.  I was patient, and could see the results each time the lawn was serviced.  Their technicians are professional, friendly, very respectful of your property, and are very diligent about opening and closing gates behind them, if you have pets.  I will continue to use them.

Perfect. We are on a monthly payment plan for the cutting and lawn treatments, and it's been worth EVERY penny over these past 15 years. The owners are responsive and answer all questions. They are not high pressure sales people, but very service oriented. I HIGHLY recommend this business.

They did an excellent job.  They used good quality mulch and the yard looks great.

We used a company called Ultra Turf Inc. They are good. Everything is always smooth. They unlocked the gate. I have multiple locks in different situation and they always lock it back up. It went well. They do a good job. They are quick, in and out. If I have any special things to communicate, they go ahead and take care of that. 38 bucks is not bad. The quality is always very good. The responsiveness is a hit or misses. Although the guy who has the cell phone, who runs this thing, it is fairly decent large company, but he has a cell phone and when he is not there, we just leave him a personal message. They are fine. I am going to use this provider in the future.

There is not much to add beyond what I stated earlier...  They do a great job, whether it's simply doing the weed, seed, and feed for your lawn, pruning trees and shrubs, or re-defining garden beds...  I've always been pleased with their work...  So much so that I'm considering retiring from my weekly lawn obligations and letting them take over...  I highly recommend Ultra Turf, Inc...

I just started with them this year. They charge $35 a cut and about $35 or $40 an hour for their crew to put in plants. They fertilize, and they put in annuals. They cut your grass high, because if they cut it too short, it dries, and you have to water it more. If they cut it at 3 inches, it retains the water.

We have used Ultra Turf for lawn mowing and maintenance for nearly 3 years and while we believe their prices are high, we were generally pleased with the way our grass looked. As we have done for the past 2 Fall seasons, we recently signed up for their annual clean up and mulching, which in 2013 and 2012, had entailed removal of leaves and yard debris, trimming and shaping of shrubs and bushes and mulching of beds and trees. So based on our past experience, we had every reason to believe that would be the extent of the work to be performed this year. I stepped out of the house late yesterday afternoon to discover that many plants in yard had been cut down to the ground, annuals that were still blooming had been removed, a large clematis vine growing around our lamp post had been completely removed and a rose bush near our front porch had been stepped on and was laying on its side. I was extremely dismayed to find that all of these things had been done without my knowledge or permission so I sent an email to the owner and called their office number to leave a voice mail. The owner showed up unannounced at our house a short time later and proceeded to tell me that our yard "was messy and overgrown" and that his crew did what any other company would have done. When I pointed out to him repeatedly that plants were not removed or cut down in 2012 and 2013, his response was "Well, if they weren't, they should have been." Using the clematis vine as an example, he stated that it was the best thing to do and it would come back healthier and fuller next year. This explanation made no sense to me because another large clematis vine growing around our mailbox just a few feet away was left untouched. He then told me that if there were plants that I didn't want touched, I should have let them know in advance but again, I tried several times to have him understand that I didn't know in advance what they were planning to do and removal of plants from our yard was our call, not theirs. He then made a comment to the effect that these types of things happen from time to time with customers who don't know anything about plants so I suggested that in the future, they make it much clearer exactly what their Fall "clean up" service entails so as to avoid misunderstandings and hard feelings. I have operated a successful medical consulting business for 27 years and know the first rule of dealing with unhappy or disappointed clients is to do whatever it takes to correct the situation and make things right, even if you don't happen to agree with them. Throughout our encounter yesterday, Mr. Lang was argumentative and even though I initially had no intention of ending our relationship with his business and would have settled for even a remotely sincere apology, it became apparent that our discussion was going nowhere and he was not going to listen to my viewpoint. I ended the discussion by stating that it would be best for us to find another lawn service and he stated that if I "wanted to punt," that was my prerogative.

My previous lawn service recommended Ultra Turf to me and even called them.  (My previous service (which I found on Angie's List) had grown in a different direction leaving me as its only customer in my neighborhood.)  Ultra Turf picked up the work without missing a cut.  I had a bug problem which it fixed within a month.
I am quite pleased with Ultra Turf and plan to use it next year.

He's not cheap but he is by far does amazing work.

Since been using for both front and back yards we have more grass in back yard then we did a year before. Dependable, flex able.

It went very well and we were very pleased; work took 3 days to complete, also did some extra cleanup at no charge to make it all look very nice. Professional organization to deal with and we are using them for additional work.

Ultra Turf comes several times a year to treat the lawn. They have always come as needed and complete the service that we requested. The owners are responsive. Haven't really had a need to contact them except to request an additional service such as aeration.

They did a reasonably good job.  I would use them again in the future.

They just do a good job and the lawn looks really good. It seems to look good compared to other lawns.
