MDB is an outstanding company. They are professional, fair, well prices, and do a great job. This last time we hired them to caulk and paint around the exterior of the windows and power washed our deck. We've hired them for many other jobs too over the past 10 or so years. Every time they've given us a great price, showed up on time, and did an excellent job.

MDB did a great job matching to the original color. MDB was very professional, neat, and prompt throughout: scheduling the estimate and the work, doing the work and clean-up, and follow-up to ensure my satisfaction. Based on this experience, I plan to hire MDB to paint all the rooms of my house.

Our experience with them went great. They also did the painting for our old house when we moved. So we have used them before. The staff was courteous and professional. They showed up on time. They cleaned up and did a good job; they painted well.

I was original referred to the company by my Home-Owners-Association management company.
The staff was very professional and courteous when setting up the required painting. There was a missed call for a quote, but nothing out of the norm for requesting a service. Their quote was comparable to other companies doing the same work.
What REALLY stood out is the outstanding service they provided -
The paint I had supplied for the job turned out to be the wrong color, but this was only discovered after the hard-to-reach 3rd story vent had already been painted! They repainted the vent with the proper color (I need to follow HOA guidelines) after helping determine what would work best. I had expected to pay more than the original quote due to my error, but they didn't charge a dime more than the quoted price!
I made no mention of Angie's List (or reviews) at any point, so this is simply fantastic customer service at it's core.

They gave me a contract that didn't give a lot of specifics. They proceeded to powerwash the barn, when they came out. I told them not to powerwash because we are on a well and there was a drought, but they continued to do so. This caused our well to run dry which caused our well pump to burn out. They did complete the job, but there were other issues, and I was relieved to see them go.

We recently bought a townhome which needed trim repair. They showed up on time for the estimate and took time to review our options with us. The customer service was excellent. Mark was good at keeping us informed regarding the work schedule. It took about 4 days to complete the job including working around the rainy weather. We are very pleased with the quality of the work.

The individuals who did the work were very good and conscientious. However, the owner of the company tried to double-charge us, and we have a problem with him. The management was a little shady. The work was fine, but the management was not. The price was high.

I couldn't be more pleased. They started when promised, called to let me know when they would arrive and came back to have me review the completed job and see if I was satisfied. I was very satisfied, but did ask the painter to "touch up" a few spots that looked like they might need more paint. I must admit, looking at a 3 story wall was daunting as the light showed shadows where I thought a bit more paint might be needed. They let me climb the ladder to see if the crew painted behind the chimney (they did). A previous painter did not! They also came back to reinstall the downspout clamps as they were not screwed to the downspouts (an oversight) after reinstalling the downspouts. Not once did I get a complaint or "attitude" about my requests to touch up some areas. The painting crew (2 persons) and a manager came out to inspect with me and they were all very courteous with every interaction I had. Even their receptionist went out of her way to ensure that my requests quickly reached the right person within the company.

I have a quote from someone else that is considerably less so I am not sure if I am going to use them again. The quote experience was okay. I am in charge of the homeowner association and we use them extensively for our commercial work. The quality of their work is quite good. They are just expensive. They are very responsive. Two days later I had my estimate.

painting went very well - staff professional, nicely done. After they finished, i found a number of paint splatters and they seemed to get sloppy outside towards the end of the job. My fault, did not call for them to return to fix, am sure they would have.

Purchased a house that was in a bit of disrepair. I had several estimates for the work. MDB was the highest price, but clearly the most competent (based on gut instinct). They worked on the house for a couple of weeks ... and the end result is great!! During their time at the house they were always professional, clean, and diligent. Additionally, I broadened the scope of the work a couple of times and was always met with a "can-do" attitude. It is hard to find a contractor you can trust ... and MDB is certainly trustworthy!! I will be using them again in the future and highly recommend their work.

Frustrated at first with various contractors estimates and punctuality as well as professionalism. Mr. Brill and staff couldn't have been more professional. They called before appointments and were always on time. The work was performed in a timely manner. Very friendly and helpful staff. We experienced a couple of unforeseen problems that were fixed with ease thanks to the supervisor on the job. They stayed on schedule. We always knew when there would be additional costs to our requests. The end result is beautiful. We feel like we are in a new home! Highly recommend this company for any home contract needs.

They did the work in the summer. They had an exceptionally hard working crew. Only one of the crew members was English speaking so he translated for me. They were especially neat about cleaning up every evening when they were finished. They finished the whole job and I did not find any mess when they were finished. They recommended a certain finish for my house and they brought samples for me. When they finished the front porch work it was very crooked. We brought that to the attention of the owner, because he had not been on the job, and he said we were right. I just recently brought this to his attention and I am currently waiting to see what they do about the porch. We were satisfied with their work overall. I would probably call them back to do the work again. I thought that the price was reasonable for all of the work that they did.

I'm a realtor and I use them a lot. I've used them for a lot of my clients. They are just outstanding. They do interior and exterior work. They are responsive and you can get them on the phone immediately. They are family owned and provide a very personal touch. The owner or his vice president will come out and do the estimate and follow up promptly. You never have to worry about the quality and they will make recommendations along the way. They don't just cover up the paint, so they will also take care of the carpentry work if you need new walls or new wood that is rotting. It is a one-stop shop. They are not the cheapest, but you pay for what you get.

MDB was fantastic. The workmanship was excellent and transitions between walls and ceilings were flawless. Their workman were professional and easy to deal with. They left absolutely no mess or paint spills. Of four estimates obtained, theirs was the lowest. Their price included furnishing all of the paint that I selected.

MDB responded within a day of my request for a quote. They arrived as agreed, on time to estimate the work. After another day, they promptly emailed me a written estimate for the work. After about a week for getting other estimates, I selected MDB and they agreed to start work on 26 May 2009. Due to rain, they started the interior work first and completed it in 1.5 days. The exterior work started next, but the work foreman noticed additional rotted trim and provided an amended estimate to replace and repair the damaged areas. This increased the cost, but we wanted to make sure all the trim was repaired. The crews of 3-4 worked very efficiently and professionally. They cleaned everything before leaving each day and were very courteous. When the work was completed, we conducted a full review of each area and found everything completed as promised. They even refunded money for some interior trim that was estimated but not needed. Although the cost was higher than the original estimate due to additional damage found, we were very pleased with the work and would definitely have MDB back again.
