Lamont and his assistant were on time, professional and friendly. They took great care to not damage my walls or ceilings when moving a very heavy desk down two flights of stairs in my narrow townhouse.

The stone top is around 550 lbs. They moved it just as I asked admirably.

Lamont and his team were great. They did an excellent job filling a 15 foot truck worth of furniture for us and moving it from one house to another. He also took apart two refrigerators and packed them up skillfully for the trip. He was on time, professional, and the price was right. We would definitely use him again.

He was on time and came with all the supplies to carefully pack up the dresser and move in our car. I was pregnant at the time so my husband really needed an extra set of hands to help lift and transport it to our house.

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. Lamont and his professional crew did a phenomenal job. They were honest, fast, efficient, and knowledgeable. They showed up about half an hour earlier and wasted no time. There was no damage to any of the items. They deserve "AAA" ratings rather than "A" ratings in all the categories. I did get quotes from a few other reputable companies (who had much higher estimates) but I am glad Lamont Small Movers ended up doing the job. I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend them to all because of their excellent service and truly reasonable price that is unmatched by any other company.

Lamont and his partner Andrew arrived on time. I gave them a tour of the rooms in which furniture would be rearranged or moved out. The tasks included disassembling and moving beds, moving several large pieces of furniture from basement to second floor, and moving lots of boxes. A total of 33 items, large and small, had to be moved. Lamont and Andrew did outstanding work and finished the job in about 2 hours. They worked quietly and were very respectful of my home, taking care to avoid damage to the items being moved and the walls and floors. I thought the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend to others and I will use them again!   

There is a reason Lamont's Small Moves has an A rating already.  They should have an A++ rating!  I contacted Lamont yesterday to request this last minute move b/c I was leaving town and my friend had to move out of her condo giving me her living  room furniture.  I knew I couldn't move it so I chose Lamont's Small Moves.  The company was already booked til the 17th of the month, but I told him that I needed to have this done by Thursday and he accommodated me and moved it TODAY!  The price was soooo reasonable! I was quite surprised when they arrived and had plastic wrapped around the furniture to protect it during the move! I guess I wasn't really expecting all of that, but they set it up where I wanted it.  Lamont and Ian were very professional and kind.  I appreciate you both for getting this done for me at the last minute!  You have excellent customer service skills and wonderful interpersonal skills and you own a company that a lot of people will need at some point in life! My friend and I spoke about how smooth everything went and how we plan to recommend this company as well as use it for any future needs.

Lamont and his crew were on time and got right to work.  They disassembled and reassembled my entertainment center and dining table.  I received quotes from competitors that ranged from $600 to $2,000.  Lamont's fair price and excellent service was much appreciated.    A+ Service and attention to detail!

Lamont is the ABSOLUTE best.  He always comes through for us.  This is the third time we have hired him and he is our 'go to guy' for this sort of stuff.  He's polite, professional, and very personable.  He works hard and so do his helpers.  Make him YOUR 'go to guy' for small moves.

I needed a local mover to move my office furniture from an upstairs bedroom to my living room. I called a couple of places to get quotes, and I was happy with the quote that I received from Lamont's because it wasn't a major move so I knew I shouldn't have to pay a ridiculous amount.  One place I called not only wanted to charge for the move but also a driving fee (what is that about especially if the move is taking place in my house!) Lamont was very responsive.  He was very courteous on the phone and confirmed the appointment the day before they were coming.  He and his team member came on time, moved the furniture in less than 2 hours, moved a couch I didn't want out to the curb, and moved other furniture to the garage.  They were very professional and best of all they didn't scratch or dent any of my walls during the move.  When we moved first moved into the house, we had "big name" movers to move us and they damaged our walls, whereas Lamont's moved the same furniture and didn't damage the walls at all.

I would definitely use them again for any move that I have.

Great! Lamont was very responsive to our request, and came over the next evening with his assistant Andrew. They were prompt, courteous, and very helpful. They were very careful with moving the items onto our newly refinished wood floors (by K&K). I also loved that they work evenings and weekends so that we didn't have to take off work. I really can't say enough great things about Lamont and his helpers. We have already hired them for two jobs and will be calling them for another job this month. 
The first job they did for us was to unload two full PODS. We had A LOT of heavy furniture and these PODS were filled. It was one of the hottest days of the year and Lamont and his helper worked like crazy getting these things emptied. They always made sure to place everything in the right place and were careful not to ding anything or track dirt into the house (which was not easy since they were walking most of the stuff through the yard). They were both very helpful, very efficient, and a pleasure to be around. 
They were so good we asked them to come back the next week. They met us at one house, loaded our rental van with a couch and two heavy armchairs and followed us back to our house to move that furniture into our house. Then they took a bunch of stuff we were getting rid of to the dump. 
Please note, they do not have a truck/van so you need to provide your own. 
We thought their rate was MORE than reasonable and have recommended them to all of our friends.

They were very responsive to our message on Angie's list.  When they arrived 3 days later, they were courteous, efficient, on time, and very professional.  They moved our vanity with ease and without any damage to our walls or the vanity.  We would definitely use them again!!

They were great to work with.  He is flexible in his schedule, he arrived timely, worked efficiently and carefully and was a pleasure to work with.

Lamont was very professional from the first call. He offered us a quote right away and was able to do the job the very next day. He called about 15 before arrival, as he promised. Then, he showed up on time with one other employee and in a very organized manner completed the job. The furniture boxes were very large and heavy but they had good communication and had no problem carrying them up the stairs. They removed the chest and dresser from the packaging and placed them exactly where we needed them in the bedroom. They even moved a heavy treadmill out of the bedroom without difficulty. Lamont asked if we needed the packaging in the garage and nicely brought it downstairs. He had an invoice/receipt ready when the job was completed. I will honestly recommend this company to anyone and will surely hire again if needed. Very professional.

Lamont did some work for us a couple of months ago (see previous review).  We were at the very end of a very long move and still had around 15 boxes and some miscellaneous items to move out of our rental into our new home.  Both our patience and our backs had had enough.  On a hope I called Lamont around 4pm and left a message asking if he could call me when he was off work his day job and let me now if he was available that night to do this job.  I really didn't think he'd be able to accommodate on such short notice.  He called me as soon as he was off work, agreed to do the job, and we set a time.  He called back to warn me of a big storm coming and suggest I have tarps to cover the items.  He carried items from throughout the house to the garage, loaded them, secured them, covered them with tarps and contractor plastic bags.  All in a howling rainstorm.  Then he loaded a SUV for us with items.  He followed us to the destination and proceeded to unload them all and put them in the house where we needed them, all in a rainstorm again.  
I honestly can't say enough about Lamont.  He is probably the hardest working person I have ever met.  He's polite, pleasant, professional, and very accommodating.
