Kris is so kind and professional, and his crew did an incredible job. Our house looks great after all the work they did, and we will proudly recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their home!

I have a single family home, with a walkout basement. I had Kris Painting repaint 21 windows, with two sliding glass doors with aluminum trim. They sanded, scraped, primed, and painted all windows and doors.

Kris and his crew truly blew me away from beginning to end. I had a long search for painters and he was a breath of fresh air with his insights and honesty. What really blew me away was his team and not only their attention to detail but their energy and kindness. It was so enjoyable to be in the house with them and you can tell they enjoy one another and what they are doing. The work was impeccable and they not only fit us in during a CRAZY busy time for them but finished early!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I really can’t say enough good things about Kris’ Painting! I had them paint my new home top to bottom, ceilings, walls, trim, closets, prior to moving in. The timeline was tight and everything was completed beautifully and on time. I have never had people comment on what a beautiful job a painting company has done, and it’s happened in this house. Kris answered all my questions, gave great advice, and was very responsive. The attention to detail was very impressive. And to have completed everything in just a few days was wonderful! I also had them remove an existing backsplash and replace it, and it looks fantastic! That was also done at the same time as the painting. I moved into a beautiful new place thanks to Kris’ Painting. And the price was the very, very competitive. I highly, highly recommend Kris and his team. In fact, I am having them paint the exterior as well.

Excellent! They were on time, very clean, neat, friendly with my kids and pets and very professional. I highly recommend them.

1. Although the work was eventually almost completed, it was a very long and frustrating experience for us. In fact, it took a large part of the summer, instead of just a couple of weeks. Kris turned out to be extremely unreliable and unable to stick to a schedule. He just showed up whenever he pleased. Even when he promised to show up on a certain day, he rarely did so. There were endless excuses, and sometimes none at all: he simply did not show up and never bothered to call. 2. Kris did not replace all the boards that needed to be replaced. He simply painted over the rough and/or cracked surfaces. We were left with a deck that still needs many boards replaced. 3. Kris never finished properly installing the gate. We made numerous calls asking him to come back. He came once, said he needed other hardware and that he would be back. Despite many calls reminding him of the unfinished job, he never showed up. Ultimately, we were left with an improperly installed gate. To sum up, It was a drawn out and frustrating experience that no homeowner should ever have to go through. We hope this review will encourage you to look for another contractor.

I have mixed reviews - overall the project was completed and they did a nice job. There is some damaged wood siding that did not get replaced and was painted over. He has promised to come back; that remains to be seen (I will update if that happens). I was promised dates when they would be on site and I would stay home and no one ever showed. I did not receive any notification that they would not becoming. When I called to find out where they were there was always some sort of medical emergency. This happened three times. Also I always had to clean my garden up after they came. I found various tools and garbage in the lawn. Also I ended up throwing away their trash, they did not take it with them. Again the final project looks good but was a frustrating process.

The wall & ceiling painting went well. The cabinets had to be re-done Master bathroom tile work was rushed and we are not happy with the workmanship. We will be tearing out some of it and will have it re- done. The reason I chose this company was because the work was going to be completed in two weeks starting at the end of October. There would be 3 teams working to have my project done in two weeks. From the very start of the project It was off schedule. There was always some issue. The guys that worked on my project normally did not show up until 10am and they left at 4pm. I was told the kitchen cabinets would be sanded and they were not. The tile work is awful....there was nor thought process to layout, some of the floor tiles are not flush with each other. I asked for dark grout and I have light grout. I learned a lesson to always get everything in writing to include the timeframe it will take to do the work. I felt they were always in a hurry because they did not allow enough time to do the work properly. The workers did not clean up when finished each day.

The first day went fine and as expected. Second day very little was accomplished. Further, my wife caught some of the crew going through her dresser. That evening, she found they had also gone through the medicine cabinets. By the week's end, we just wanted them out of the house. That day they had scrambled to finish, on what had been allowed as a contingency day.  The last two days work practices and communications were terrible. Kris did not return calls. Paint cans and trays were put on unprotected carpet. Unsafe ladders, wedged over the stairwell created an hazardous conditions.  In the end, we wanted the group out of our house. We called a different company to repair the mess and cleanup Kris' mess.

Before I joined Angie's List, all the people in the neighborhood use him. He is very prompt to get back to me and he's very prompt to come and give me an estimate. He is just very good. He does everything correctly. The price is always good. I've been very pleased so that's why I had them back.

Kris has painted at our home before and rebuilt our deck 6 years ago, This time we asked him to power wash, stain and paint the deck. We have used other painters before but have never had such an experienced team as we have with Kris and his team. Kris came by in the morning and power washed the deck and told us the team would be over later that day. As promised they came that afternoon and got right to work. They returned the following morning to finish the work. Jose, one of the painters worked with me to find the right color paint so he could repaint some areas around the house that needed to be touched up. He was friendly and professional and did a great job. They cleaned up everything afterwards which you do not always find with contractors. We will continue to use Kris when we need painting and will continue to refer everyone to him. He may not be the least expensive but he is well worth his fair price and he has always exceeded our expectations.

Kris was a pleasure to work with. His crew was efficient, careful, and professional. The deck work needed to be redone due to unexpected rain and they did it right away. We definitely recommend them.

Here are our areas we're unhappy with the service and feel the work is unprofessional:
1. Overall poor approach to the project - the team didn't finish a room, or floor, in its entirety first before moving on to the next
section. This caused a delivery delay and the inability to live in our home during the project. Furthermore, we've had to clean up, remove a film of dust and vacuum up debris every night after the team left. Our expectation was the team should have respected our home by covering our property and clean up after themselves every night. We've even moved the furniture for them daily.

2. Delayed start - since the project started, the team arrived about 5-8 minutes after 8am, which isn't a problem. However, they sat outside in their van and/or smoked until at least 8:30am, if not later. Our expectation was, if the owner told us the team will start at 8am, then they are here and ready to start working at 8am.
3. Ending the day early - our expectation from the owner was the team was going to be working until 5:30/6pm every day. Instead they've packed up before 4:30pm every day to leave for the day. This caused a day in delivery from what was originally committed to be completed daily.
4. Overall there is a consistent disconnect between what the owner or the shift supervisor said, versus what's actually done by the
team. They told us the team was going to complete certain things each day, including when the project was suppose to be
completed, but that wasn't the case. The shift supervisor told us there was going to be a team of 6 people on the last day, and everything was going to be done by a certain time. Only 3 team members showed up and obviously they didn't finish the project.
Kris (the owner) was careless and flippant when dealing with our concerns. We addressed our issues to him, a few times, but his overall attitude and lack of customer service skills made us want him to leave our home immediately. We will never work with him again nor would we recommend this company to anyone.
