EVERYTHING AND THE DOG

Everything went fine . My dog was well cared for and they had entry access to my home. All went smoothly and the stress on my pet was minimal. Hes a companion dog , so misses his owner when im away i got him as a rescue and was told not have him around other pets. To the point boarding him is not an option. To myself hes very loving but protective. To those with long term exposure he seeks their attention. To strangers he barks. Best of Everything lives up to their name , they are prompt , mature, experienced and trustworthy. Ive used them successfully on 3 different occasions. Since I live alone its a great relief to have them as my backup when i need to leave on a trip.

My husband and I (both senior citizens) agreed to dog sit our daughter's 12-week old lab retriever because Pongo was too young to board. We did well until Pongo's exuberance literally knocked me over! Luckily a large bush caught my fall, and I just got scratched! I have no experience with dogs other than petting them! I needed help immediately and Everything and The Dog stepped up, rushing my application and getting me a wonderful dog walker (Mark) in one day. Mark is wonderful with Pongo; I watch Pongo chasing sticks in the yard and thank God that I found this wonderful company. Mark has been reliable and professional, and the best part is that Pongo loves him, too! Thank you to everyone at Everything and The Dog!

While I was not able to use the services because of an unexpected illness with our dog, I was happy with the owner's responsiveness and the sitter he assigned. The sitter was very forthright about wanting to know everything about the dogs to ensure they would be well-cared for.

The best references come from my three kitties, who seem content and well-cared during my absence. It's great to have a couple "primary" cat sitters, along with reliable back ups.

I have used them several times before. They get along well with my dog which is not easy. They will do additional services. They can bring in the mail and water the plants or whatever I ask them to do. They are very dependable and very good at communicating if they have anything they need to speak to me about. They do not have the lowest prices but they are worth it.

Not sure if they are stretched too thin or simply disorganized, but I am (was) an existing client and requested service several weeks in advance. I received an auto-confirmation email from them for the service and then 3 days before my trip, I email some instructions and then they respond by telling me that the sitter is not available - that they are looking for one and that I should think about making alternative arrangements. I'm thinking they would never have told me unless I emailed them. This kind of response not acceptable. Also, our previous sitter with them stopped working so we got a new one throug the company. When I asked them to transfer the keys to the new sittter, they said they didn't have them. I had to find the old sitter and ask her to send the keys to us (she said she didn't know what to do with them?).

I have been using Everything and The Dog for 2 years now and they're great! Very easy to schedule online or directly with your assigned dog walker and payments came be made online if desired. The walkers always leave notes and text me after each visit to assure me that all is well with my pups. I would greatly recommend this service to a friend.

I have used Everything and the Dog for years now and they always take wonderful care of my cat and the hounds. In fact one weekend we went away and I forgot to schedule service. When I called to check on them 2 days later (bad, bad momma), my dog walker informed me that I hadn't scheduled visits. She immediately headed to the house, took care of the dogs, cleaned up and spent extra time with them to calm them down. I can't say enough about this company.

They are very professional and caring individuals and they make me feel comfortable to leave my pets at home and I know they will be well taken care of.

I've been using Everything and the Dog for about 8 months for mid-day dog walking services.  They are absolutely awesome!  My walker is usually Jodi, and she's wonderful.  I can't say enough nice things about her and really appreciate all she does.  She definitely goes above and beyond to help with my old guy!  Communication and responsiveness is superb.  And my dog adores her, too.  Couldn't be more pleased (unless the rates were a little less expensive).  As they say, you get what you pay for and I definitely struck it rich with them!

Everything and the dog has always been very responsive and open to changes in my schedule. All the dog walkers have been great and give my dog lots of love and attention. I highly recommend Sandee who is also a dog trainer and would do anything for your dog... and you!

I am so very pleased with this service! On time, dependable, great communications and awesome pricing. I do not know how else I could have my pets cared for in their own home, with their own food, etc. without this service. I have used this service for several years and cannot imagine going to another provider!

They have been wonderful. They have provided pet sitting when we needed it on short notice. The pet sitters that they have provided have been competent about the dogs and cats. They have been able to deal with our crew and any problems that had come up. They have been punctual and able to accommodate changes that had occurred at times. They have been able to handle the situation pretty well and have taken care of our needs. The financial arrangements have all gone fine; no problems there. We have tried a number of different pet sitting companies before. The company that we had used for a number of years went out of business. We are very happy with them.

The walker shows up at a consistent time that we all agreed upon. Everything and the Dog was very flexible in helping us find a time that worked for us and their walker so we would get a consistent time of the walk. The walker takes both of our dogs, let's them outside to go to the bathroom, walks them for 15-45 minutes depending on what we've asked for (and paid for of course), and then puts the dogs back securely. The walker is very good about making sure the dogs always get time outside and are secure when put away, and that the house is locked up when they leave.

one short story, we have a 13 year old golden who is having medical issues. Nothing asked of Everything and the dog is ever TOO MUCH. They love our boy and we know they will give him the extra love and compassion he deserves while we are at work. On one particular day, our boy was sick (from both ends) and I received a call from our sitter who had cleaned up the entire house and was concerned for our boy. Even though I did not expect her to do anything except call - she cleaned everything up and was so concerned she called that evening to see how our boy was doing. This is the kind of care and service you will get and more.

Our original dog walker, through them, was excellent. However, on a day that the primary dog walker was out of town, the substitute dog walker lost my key and failed to inform me that they could not get into my house until 3pm. Our dog was typically walked around 11:30 to 12 every day. By the time I could get home (work in DC and live in Western Loudoun County) it was 5pm. The company's response was less than lackluster and I received a lot of excuses and never received a valid explanation for the error. In addition, I was billed for service never received.

Went well. Called them on Monday, met the sitter on Wednesday to go over the details of food and litter and for him to meet the cats (cats seemed to like the sitter on initial meeting), get a key and fill out some paperwork (emergency release, terms of service, description of pets, house information, key release). Left town Thursday night and the cats were well cared for 3 days from Friday through Sunday. He left a note that contained the times and lengths of all the visits, what he did and some description of the cats (e.g. 'this cat came out and played for bit, and that cat hid while I was around').

I have used this company multiple times now and can't imagine taking my dogs to a kennel ever again! It's SO nice to be able to leave and not have to worry about if the dogs are stressed out or if they will have any play time. I have little dogs, so I typically have four visits/day and I get full reports of what happened each visit- my mail is always brought in and the house is in the exact same condition as I leave it. The dogs are happy and they don't smell like dog kennel!!
